      Was going to apply for a loan with these guys. Started the application process. Never ended up finishing the application after speaking with the loan officer but they still did a hard inquiry on my credit. Wish I could have at least got denied first. Should have never went through. Dishonest company.

In addition, several disclosures need to be accepted, including an agreement to have credit pulled before the online application can be submitted.       Trying to pay your loan is a nightmare, ends up costing time, frustration, anger, and a s*** load in fees. The app constantly give me error messages on opening. My biggest frustration is trying to give them money. I swear, they dont want interest and principal, they want to colllect fees.

      They are a nightmare! Cant even take their own payments. Make you go thru a 3rd party who will transfer you and put you on hold constantly like they are to busy to talk to you or like they are play hot potatoe!

      They conveniently "lost" record of my auto insurance and tacked on their own. They also didn't email me, or send a letter about this, and after I'd noticed, and went through the hassle of providing proof of insurance through that time, they took more than a month to credit back the insurance they'd erroneously added, and refused to credit back the interest it had accrued in that time. Outright stealing money from me, and it seems like most of the other reviews here also involve technical errors on their end resulting in customers losing their money. If I had the funds for lawyer I'd fight it in court. All around bad customer service, even when you're not dealing with their technical problems. Do not waste your time or your money with this credit union.

      Back in April I noticed a ***** charge on my debit I flagged it in the app I called but unfortunately its impossible to get ahold of a real person ..then I forgot few months go by it slips my mind then I noticed it again (******.) has been taken out my account without my consent at ***** each month since April I called and was greeted with a very condensing nature from a woman who basically said she will not be going back to April or refunding me anything The website that is attached to the number is FAKE the number to call nobody has answered it I have a car loan from Hughes I owe about 20k left on it was initially 40k I have a direct deposit set up which annually deposits over 100k into my account I am ready to close my account over the way I was treated with this basically almost making me feel like it was my fault.

      Most people are OK. The **************** treats you like a criminal rather than the victim of a fraud. Normally it's been OK, but this last business has really been horrible. ****** in Fraud is like **********.

      I joined Hughes when I moved to ******* because I've always banked with credit unions. Things have gone down hill this year and they have had numerous technical errors. There always seem to be issues with their debit cards where I cannot access funding with them at inconvenient times like getting gas and 3 times I've had to ask off from work to go to the nearest branch to get a new debit card because of errors on their end. This year, I believe it was **** there was a glitch with their system where they were unable to process ACF transactions so my direct deposit did not go in, my mortgage payment came out, and they charged me a overdraft fee because their system was not accepting electronic deposits. They did not refund me my overdraft fee and now I'm terrified of autopay with my mortgage because I don't trust Hughes not to have glitches. Most recently, I received a home equity loan from ****** Federal Credit union who issued me a cashier's check. Hughes won't release the funding and rather than swapping to ****** Federal Credit Union because they always provide superior customer service, I was lazy and decided to deposit it with Hughes. The teller told me it would be 7 days before I could access the funds. It's been 7 days and now they want to argue semantics that it's 7 business days and even though they are open on Saturdays, that does not count as a business day. So I'm done. Between the constant need for new debit cards, online banking being down every other time I try to log in, errors with deposits/transactions, and now a ridiculous hold on a cashiers check, its just not worth dealing with them. It also appears that others here have the same issues with their debit cards and not having access to their funds. You'd think that Hughes would see this as an issue and work to remedy this so that the people have access to the money consistently that they are giving Hughes to manage.

      I have been trying to get a hold of someone in their hardships department for weeks. I filed a request to extend my loan through another hardship withdrawal due to a job less. The person "******" who called me back at the beginning of august was a very non compassionate person who didn't seem to listen to anything I said when I explained what's going on financially with my car being in the shop since the week of May 15 and out of commission... he just said "you haven't made a payment in 6 months", as if I have not been on a hardship withdrawal, as if I had done something wrong. He said he could lower the payment for a couple months and I stressed to him that I have zero income and my roommate paid my rent last month, all of which didn't seem to matter. My car being in the shop is a big issues because that was how I make my new income since getting laid off in January. I also have clearly been unable to use my car for months because of this. We were disconnected via audio during our call and I tried calling him back a few times, left a voicemail, and still no call back in 3 weeks. I've been trying to call their collections department, who apparently handles their hardships for weeks. I've left many, many voicemails. I've got no call backs. I've tried calling their customer service number countless times and there doesn't seem to be any way to get a hold of any human being. I even called some other extension and left a voicemail bc I am desperate to get this resolved. I do not even know my member number and now the app isn't even showing that I have an account anymore... and with all the talk on this thread about them threatening to repossess cars... I'm really worried they are going to repossess my car without even calling me back. There is crazy! When I was with *********** I never ever worried about any of this stuff, and I've been laid off multiple times since the pandemic and only used *********** before. I've never in my life had these basic problems w/a bank.

      Had to call 3 times in 3 weeks just to get a debit card mailed to me. They forgot the first time, called a second time and now calling again this week cuz they said they put a rush on it. Theyre security system is horrible Ive had to cancel 3 cards since Ive been with this bank and they dont do anything in return to make things right horrible horrible horrible bank!

      Like other statements here. Unable to get in touch with a live person. And when you do, you get passed around forever. I cannot even get them to change my address. I have tried many times. Either on the phone or sending in a change of address on the back of a billing statement like they have asked for. I have not received a bill for months or since I moved last October. With that said, trying to make a payment is a nightmare. I am now 5 or 6 payments behind on a card that had shown 0 balance and states that there is over $200 owed. Needless to say, my credit has drop over 100 points. Not good. Do I need to get a lawyer or how can this be handled when you cannot get through to a live person in a reasonable time???????????
