Rod.R this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. first the installation person came out and wanted to argue with me where I wanted the router set up- I told him that I am a computer tech and had the house wired especially for cable and internet. the router needed to be installed in the garage. he then (unknowing to me at the time) installed the dish on my brand new roof, s******* it through the tiles. we had it for 1 week and the reception was so poor the tv kept disconnecting and we could not watch anything. I at that time (we had it for 1 week) called and cancelled the order-I was told that I had to pay $97.00 for the first month and a $375.00 dollars for the cancelled contract even that I was unable to watch anything. this is totally unacceptable that a company sends out a tech that not only is rude and wont listen to the customer but damages the roof on my house. then I spoke to customer service several times with the same reply-(you have to pay for service that doesn't work-no mention about the damage they caused to my roof.)-I am not paying for this.

Viasat is a joke..when I signed up for service I was told I was qualified for a promo for three months..I get my first bill due on September ******* and I was not given my full promo offer amount so I called them and there was nothing they could do bc bill was already generated and was told the next bill would be reflected so I get my October bill and it's still was not given my full promotion *** so I called them and was told it would be reflected on my next bill due for November and they couldn't do anything bc the bill has already been generated..it's ******** that there customer doesn't come first and they cannot correct there mistakes and keep there promise that was given on my plan when I choose to get service...I would not recommend this company at all...they don't care about there customers and give you the run around and always want to say I'm sorry but don't correct there wrong doings..I'm sick of hearing I'm sorry...what a joke this company is..and I don't have any other choice for another company I where I live.....

I will never use this company again. We canceled our plan (which was NEVER disclosed that we were under a 2 year contract) after 3 months because we had to move again and we were charged 315 dollars. No one ever sent any documents to say that there was a contract, we never signed any agreement, and then when I go to see on the app the remaining balance, they automatically took that money off our card that was not set up for automatic payments. We are so upset that this is how people run this business and there isnt any help for people who really arent in the position to pay that much for a cancellation fee. Besides that while we had the service the wifi was not fast at all even though we had one of the fastest plans you could get.

We signed up with Viasat with COVID lockdown as my husband had to work from home. We are in an area that had no other service options besides satellite, so we went with Viasat. It is expensive but we'd hoped for great internet access. Instead we got slow access on an "unlimited' plan, that they throttled back every month and charged us more as we needed more connectivity until the following month rolled around. We've had many days that we had almost no service, making it impossible for him to work from home (which he still does). A new company has been laying fiber for several months now and we were finally connected last Friday afternoon. Our billing cycle rolled over Sunday evening and we were charged our monthly fee. I called this morning (Monday) to cancel and get reimbursed for that billing and they refuse to reimburse us, even though we've not used it on this billing cycle at all. There is no way to cancel on their website - you must talk by phone, and that number isn't on their website. Because we didn't call on the weekend to cancel prior to our billing cycle, they refuse to reimburse our monthly fee, that we will not be using at all. AND - once they do cancel our account (before next billing cycle), we are required to get our equipment off the roof of our house and wiring out of our house and return to them (they say they'll send us a box) or we can pay a service fee to get disconnected. Such poor customer service. I am livid I am required to pay for a month of service we will not use and unhappy my husband is required to get the satellite and wiring down himself. I will not recommend Viasat to anyone looking for service.

Not even a star at all. Said I used 100gb in 10 days. Service wouldn't work at all. Tried canceling multiple times and they give you a run around till you get mad and hang up. I finally got it canceled and they charged me over 400 dollars. Do not get this service. They promised it was for gaming and we couldn't even pull our tvs without it cutting out. I'm filing with my attorney.

I ordered Viasat internet service and it took three weeks for my install appointment. My roommate was here on the day of the install. She advised the installer the modem must be downstairs. He told her it was already wired to only go in the master bedroom. He left the "care packet" and left. Never went over anything with her and just left. When I called to advise them the installer did not do what I asked and did what was "easy" for him they said I would need to pay $200 to have it installer how I wanted it to be in the first place. I had no choice and agreed to pay the $200 and was scheduled another three weeks out. My appointment window was from ****. I filled out a survey and gave zero stars. This lead to a phone call from Viasat. That rep said he saw an appointment scheduled for the 21st of September. Nothing they could do and were very sorry about what happened. At 10:30am I called and was told by a representative there was an appointment showing. Then at 12:45 no one showed up. I called and was told there never was an appointment scheduled. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, *******, he said the soonest they could get me re-scheduled was 9/27. It took 20 minutes to be able to speak to him. I would NEVER do business with this company again. Hold times are long, they lie, and there are data caps. Costs are way too high for crappy service.

I called to ask questions about switching service. at first she was nice and she asked what was my reason for switching. I said the cost. she then asked what I was willing to pay for internet and I said $50. She snickered and said that is not possible. So I told her then that was all I needed to know. she hung up before I could tell her thank you for her time. The customer service isextremely poor quality and no potential customer or current customer should ever be made to feel like they are ignorant just because they are not willing to high internet bills.

Impossible to contact via anything other than phone. Invent charges AFTER final invoice and disconnect. Cannot track the package they supposedly sent to return equipment. I need to return on my own, but they say they will not process unless it is in "Their" box.

Here's my review, after waiting five minutes for this text only web page to load. Viasat internet 'services' are absolutely pointless. Even on the first day of my billing cycle, well before I've exceeded my high speed internet limit, the speeds don't approach anything that could pass for high speed. When I do reach that cap, internet slows to speeds around **** MPS and regularly cycles between being connected to the web, and being completely disconnected. In the past couple of months, the service speed levels have become frustratingly slow, regardless of the balance of "high speed" service left. When I inquired about this, the representative sold me on a new plan at the same price, but with over 3 times as much high speed data. Awesome, right?? Well, it might be, if the installation ever happens. Twice now, I have taken a day off from work, losing money, in order to be home for an installer who either didn't show or had the day scheduled off. **************** then asked me to contact the installer on my own, while simultaneously and inexplicably canceling my work order. When I finally reached him, he informed me I was now the responsibility of another, unidentified technician. As per usual with low-rent businesses, the customer service sounded like it's located somewhere overseas and native English speakers weren't available at any level. Service is a very relative term here, as they provide nothing on any end that would approach meeting that definition. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY.
