      I have been with Viasat for several years (over 5 years) and found an internet service that was more affordable with better service. I called to cancel and they charged me for an extra month and told me that they had charged my debit card the day before and had to charge me for that month. I am very disappointed with viasat because of this charge. I will not be using the internet for a whole month but got charged for it. This was too expensive and data was always used up after about 2 weeks into the billing cycle. Very bad internet and very expensive.

      Claimed the bill I paid last month wasn't valid because the day after I paid my bill, they switched me to a different plan. They are giving me a 2-day prorated amount off a two-month bill, and none of my $113 dollars counts for that. I had also been given a $30 discount for a year, unless I made any changes to my plan. I didn't. They did, and they claim that because changes were made, they don't have to honor the discount. The discount was a given for the ongoing technical issues I had for nearly 3 years, until they actually gave me some equipment that actually worked. They want to throw me a bone of $20 off for six months, not including the current bill, which is about $160 more than it should be. This has all got to be illegal. Maybe they'll go out of business the same way Suddenlink did for pulling similar tactics. Worthless company.

      Im not even giving them a star! My internet cord runs from satellite across my yard thru my front door and across my livingroom floor and up my wall. I have been trying for 7 months diligently to get this fixed. Everytime guy comes out to fix it he says oh this job requires more time than I have so I will be bck tomorrow. Then puts it in computer as completed. They keep trying to charge me ***** to come out and fix it. I paid once I will not pay again. In the meantime they are right on time or early at pulling the money out my acct.

      My husband died in March of cancer. I called then to let them know he had passed to cancel service they did not cancel service they have continually charged me since March over $768 for service that I tried to cancel in March they will not cancel it.

      Just dont ever sign up. As you can see from the other reviews, they do not have reliable service. I never come close to receiving the speeds promised and pretty sure the data usage tracker is off, and I run out of the higher speed data too fast. It seems to be tracking the so-called free time from 3 am to 5 am. Multiple complaints have gotten me nowhere. They are installing regular broadband on my road and I am so ready to dump Viasat in the garbage where they belong after almost 5 years of being highly disappointed. Not even their competition was this bad!

      This company is the worst internet service Ive had in 30 years! They are liars thieves! Tried to charge me $530 for one month, all ******** charges and extra fees I didnt know about, that they claim are valid. They suspended my account and then still are charging me the monthly fee of $160 which is extremely limited data. I would run out of data after 2 days of watching tv for a couple hours a day! The internet went out half the time and its nearly impossible to speak with a representative and of course when you do they barely speak English and the message just hangs up on you. Now theyre trying to charge me $350 to disconnect it and get their equipment down from the roof to send back or theyll charge another $300unbelievable! This has got to be illegal!!! Very unhappy. My internet in the middle of no where in ****** was better than this! Dial up *** was better than dealing with this! Now I have been dealing with this ******** fake company for a month after cancelling my service! I keep emailing Viasat listens (what a joke, no one listens!) and no one is reading my emails, I just keep getting the same response saying my case is closed. Trying to charge me ****k for nothing. What a freaking scam! Now theyre saying they sent the box to return the equipment, but they did not and are threatening to charge me more for not returning it! I hope no one ever has to deal with these evil people.

      After 3 weeks of waiting for service to be restored, and numerous attempts with a live agent, I tried to get a technician appointment. They couldnt schedule a technician appointment for a Saturday, what service provider doesnt work Saturdays. I asked to be released from my contract, as they were not providing services. The manager said that I was still under contract and would have to pay $120 to be released from the term of the contract. I reluctantly accepted the charge so that I could just move on to better service. The internet, when working was spotty and the customer service was hit and miss. Some agents were really nice and helpful, while others (including the last manager I spoke with) were rude and not service oriented.

      I was a viasat customer for 3 years. Service was ok. I called to cancel my service on the last day of my billing cycle and was told system down you will need to call back on Monday. I told them to note my account that I was cancelling today and they acknowledged. When I called back on Monday they had charged me for the next months service and told me my account would be active for that month. My system was already disconnected and Im not using their data. They took $215 from me. Obviously, not acceptable!!! I call it theft. Bewareavoid Viasat!

      Understanding that their cancellation policy is a rip-off, you would expect them to allow a free cancellation if the quality of **************** wasn't at least as advertised, but they don't care. I called to cancel and the customer service agent laughed when I asked to speak with a supervisor when she denied waving the cancellation fee. Then, the supervisor was too busy and they offered that one would call me back...nope...no call back received.

      I would give zero if possible. Horrible service. Canceled in 30 days, harass me with truaccord debt collector. Don't use this business
