On 9/29/2023 I made an agreement with pageturner to republish my book ********* listened. After spending $4000.00 and the book gets published. So about 3 months ago I called pageturner to order some books for my website. They responded by telling me there printer was down. Okay fine. But 3 months go by and it's still down and now they won't answer the phone or emails. I tried several times to get my money back. Which is in the contract that I can do that. I still get no response. In May 2023 I contracted with *** ******* of Page Turner Publishers to publish my book. I was told that he would then try to contract with a traditional publishing company to secure me a good contract for my book which would provide a good price, and options such as higher returns for my book. Over time I secured a contract with ************************************** which provided a contract with options such as greater sales in other countries, advertising in publication magazines, an ad in the heart of ********, placement in book stores, and good royalty checks. This July marked one year and 2 months since I started this journey, and I have yet to be paid for anything. *** is no longer answering his calls and the agent he contracted with is a phony. He simply took the name of an employee at ***************************, pretending to offer contracts, but all the time the two of them were working together to rob me blind. I have contacted *************************** , the ** I, the * T C and AARP *raud line. I want this company out of business and I want my money back.Business Response

I reject the response from Page Turner because it does not show how nor when the complaint will be addressed. I have made numerous calls to the business and was told to press 1 for the operator who then tells me to speak to author care who then tells me that no one is available to talk to me. I call this a run around. I have left numerous messages but have not been called back. I see that the agent, *** ********* is not working there anymore, but not how they plan to refund my money. At this point, there is nothing I want from the company except a refund of every ***** I have paid into the company, the withdrawal of the ability (right) of the company to continue to make, sell, or distribute my book, the agent , *** *********, jailed for fraud and this company permanently closed for business. I do not accept Page Turner's response. In fact Page Turner has refused to answer my calls to the author support cent. I have called multiple times daily, left messages, but to date have not received any of my money back. I will continue to try through multiple agencies , including the ********* AND THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL to collect every ***** extorted from me. No one answers the phone there , the operator will simply inform you that no one is answering the number. In April 2024 ***** ****** reached out to me and told me that he had a bookstore would order ****** copies of my book (******** *****) if I had book refund insurance. All I had to do was pay $2000. I didn't have the money but my kids dipped into their savings account. I made 2 payments of $1000. First one on April 25 and the second one on May 21st. I stopped hearing from ******. I emailed the production team and I was told I hadn't made the last payment. Well when I showed them proof that I did I received a long email from their audit department stating that ****** was taking the payments for himself and he is under investigation. They told me they would get back to me and that was June 17th I believe. I emailed for an update and no response.Business Response

I don't trust that they will resolve this. The only resolution I see is a full refund. Which is reasonable considering I was suppose to get a ****** book order. Yes, on May 31 2024 PageTurner was doing marketing work for me i was told to help expand my brand a ad in Publishers Weekly would benefit me. Page Turner Press and Media contacted my uncle, Reverend ****** *********************** to republish his book (************************************** 1917-1995: **************** Nigerian Vanguard of Catholicism).Page Turner Press and Media claims they are working with a bookstore company named Waterstones Bookstore to publish his book. Till date, Page Turner has received $55,500 from him and still asking for more money, but no indication as to when he will start receiving his royalty payments. A ******************************* of Page Turner and a ************************* of Waterstones have been the main contacts.Date of Transaction: From 12/20/2023 -What the Business committed to provide you: To pay royalties of $750,000 from chain of Bookshops of Waterstones Bookshop, using the Distribution Chain Manager, a *************************. Page Turner has refused to pay the $750,000 (which they eventually reduced to $735,000) plus the total Expenditure. We reached out directly to Waterstones Bookstores, Waterstones confirmed there is NO contract nor arrangement between Waterstones and Page Turner Press and Media in regards to a 2023 republishing of (************************************** 1917-1995: **************** Nigerian Vanguard of Catholicism) by a **************************. In addition, Waterstones Bookstores stated that any communication from a *************************, purporting to represent Waterstones Bookstores in a contract agreement with a ************************** is a scam communication. I paid ****** to pageturner to publish my book. They were very slow but eventually got it done. It was posted on Amazon, ****** and ***** website as well as pageturner website. The problem now is that about 6 weeks ago they removed my book from Amazon. The paperback version as well as the Kindle one. I spoke with someone in author support. She said that their printer was down and they were working on fixing it. I talked once more with someone in author support. She said that the problem was resolved and I should see my book back on Amazon within 5 to 10 business days. Now it has been 4 weeks and nothing resolved. Now I cannot get a hold of anyone on the phone. I have left many messages but they do not return my calls. I am so frustrated with this company! I just want them to post and print my book again!! Please understand that i was never asking for my royalties and here is why. The evidence i sent to the BBB showed that PAGE TURNER had nothing in play to get me royalties. there was never any real purchase offers. I was told that ****** books wanted to buy 5000 copies of my book then it change to 2500 copies of my book.Page turner stated that i had to pay the printing cost up front. Because i could not afford to pay $17.000 for printing costs. Since i could not pay that amount for the printing fee. They told me that ****** would buy 2500 if i could pay the printing cost. I took out a loan expecting to receive the royalties in 5 days. The royalties was going to be used to to pay off the loan. 5 days became 45 days. Then Page Turner tried to get another $6000 claming that Waterstone would be offering me $295,000. I then contacted the real "****** books" and "Waterstone books", only to find out there was never any contracts made between either company and Page turner. Both companies were proactive in letting me know the documents Page turner sent were fake. Page turner lied. I am not asking for Royalties. From the beginning I was asking for my insurance money $3000, plus another $1000 media cost and the $9000 that was to used for a book order that did not exist.Page turner also tried to tell me that the delay in getting my royalties was because a fight between ****** and Waterstone.bids for my book orders.
I am rejecting a business order is because there really was never a purchase offer.

In February 2023 i was contacted by ***************************** that my book has come under a contract *************************** for traditional publishing. All of the expense was told to me that they were necessary because the traditional publisher required it. I have researched all of the connecting parts of Page Turner. The fact that this company refuses to accept their part in the request for money to secure a traditional publish contract for me is a great indication of their lack of decency. Why would I have paid money to a company that had no connection or reason for payment that would give me the opportunity to gain a traditional publisher. Each item was a requirement from the said traditional publisher(MacMillan) to be aquisitioned by *********. I have discovered Page Turner can not do business with ********* because of their record as a scam. This is on MacMillans website. I will not be taken by this company. There are so many companits about this companyon this BBB site. But my complaint will go as far as it need to expoise this company finally and refund me my money. This company contacts me multiple times a month. In the last 2 days I have received 3 messages telling me to return their call because of an urgent manner. They have used multiple tactics to try to get me to call to discuss one of my published books.I have no desire to work with this company.
