This company will try to rip you off by charging you for premium memberships randomly without your permission. That's what they did to me and I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone and 30 minutes with the stupid AI customer service chat bot before that to try and solve the issue and get back 2 months worth of charges for services I never requested or authorized.

It takes a lot for me to spend the time to write a negative review, but Experian provides nothing for one's money. Nearly impossible to get a human being on the phone and when you do, you are told you have the wrong department and are given another number with an impenetrable automated response. I paid for the Premium to try to get help for an identity fraud situation. Experian added to my woes. Stay away!

I'm in a truly alarming situation: I've been locked out of my account, and I can't get through to a real person. The constant error messages stating my birthday and Social Security number are incorrect, even after I've provided all my other vital details, make me fear my information has been compromised. I'm trapped in an endless cycle with an unhelpful AI bot and no access to customer support. Given that they possess every piece of my sensitive data, I feel incredibly vulnerable and have lost all trust in this company and their procedures. I desperately need assistance to cancel this account or have my ********************** removed.Ive called multiple times, and whenever I reach someone, they just transfer me to the same automated system. *** also sent emails its been impossible to get in touch with them.

In 2017, I checked my credit by generating one of the yearly free credit reports to which consumers are entitled. At that time, I was asked if I wanted to opt infor a monthly feeto some of Experians new expanded service offerings, and I declined. Fast forward to now, almost ten years later, and my husband and I find that Experian has been charging us about $30/month for we-know-not-how-long-or-for-what. Their very effective automated system of telephone gatekeeping refers consumers to their account dashboard to manage membership options, but nothing in my account dashboard indicates that I am paying for any services whatsoever or that I have the option to cancel payment. I finally resorted to disputing the charges with my bank, who informed me that I have been paying out since December of last year. I have no recollection of any business dealings with Experian last year, and certainly not to consenting to any regular charges. I cannot really fathom any such a large and well-funded entity being so difficult to navigate by virtue of incompetence; I hate to think that such difficulty may be intentional on the part of a company that is so vocal about serving consumers who are trying to reduce debt and build credit.

These people, handling some of your MOST SENSITIVE information, decided to open a call center in *****. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? *****, the one place in the world known for spam, fraud, and robbing people via technology. And for some reason (let's assume money) they redirected their efforts to *****. You want me to give my SSN to someone in *****? I will spend the rest of my life blasting this company for this utter, complete lack of customer care. Shame on you, **********************. You are shitbags, you hire shitbags to run your company, and you make shitbag decisions like OUTSOURCING CALL CENTERS TO SPAM INDIA TO HANDLE AMERICAN PII. Also, their Atlanta call center is ABOSLUTELY MISERABLE. People with zero customer care skills, and clearly, zero training.

The Experian voice response system is a joke. It takes forever to get to a person, and wastes an incredible amount of customers time. When it asks for ********************** to be input the customer has to wait until the computer has completely finished speaking before the customer can put in the ********************** that was requested. This is a huge waste of time. And the phony noises in the background that are supposed to sound like someone typing or irritating and insulting.

Countless consumers report Experian retaining derogatory marks well beyond the seven-year limit. For instance, paid-off collections or settled debts mysteriously linger, dragging down credit scores and blocking access to loans, housing, or jobs. Experians dispute process is a bureaucratic nightmareautomated, unresponsive, and designed to exhaust rather than resolve. Consumers submit evidence, only to receive generic denials or no response at all. This isnt negligence; its a business model. Experian profits by selling data to lenders, and outdated negative information keeps risk-averse creditors hooked. The **** allows consumers to sue for violations, but Experians deep pockets and legal teams dwarf individual resources. Class-action lawsuits, like those in 2023 exposing systemic FCRA violations, often result in paltry settlementspennies for consumers, no real deterrent for Experian. Regulatory oversight is toothless; the **** and FTC issue fines that are mere pocket change for a multi-billion-dollar corporation. Meanwhile, Experians errors disproportionately harm vulnerable groups, perpetuating economic inequity. Experians practices predatory and untouchable. The lack of repercussions emboldens Experian to prioritize profits over compliance. Until regulators impose meaningful penalties or consumers gain easier legal recourse, Experian will continue violating the ***** seven-year rule with impunity, leaving countless Americans to bear the cost.

I have been paying for Experian for several years and recently they have started to send me unwanted advertisements from their 3rd party vendors. I have selected no advertisements on the app and twice spoken with their agents who have assured me they have removed me from all their advertising programs - yet the ads continue. Short of dropping their service and migrating to one of the other credit monitoring services, I would like to know if there is a way to stop the advertisements. Thus far I have had zero luck with emailing them, working with their IVR or working with live agents. Help!

If I could leave a "0" I would! I have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve my Membership account being accessed by another party unknown to me. When I am finally able to reach a human on the phone I am told it is not their department and they transfer me to another endless recorded loop. This credit bureau is worthless to the consumer concerned with protecting themselves from identity theft.

Corporate needs to look into this, the gal I talked to today at 5pm, is saying the reason I was charged $ ***** Was cause the 7 day trial has past, no it didnt. Went on your website on the page , it says, there is a free 7 day trial & realizing I was being charged for this, how did they get my card # . I never give it to her nor give it on your webpage. Shes telling me that she refused to give me a refund . Really ! When clearly a free day trial is free til that 7th day. I told her that I went on Experian a couple of days ago, thats not 7 days & for the corporate office to sit by and allow this, its very very unprofessional. You now have a bad name so this is on you also when your bot on the phone Says what do you prefer English or Spanish, I hit English so with that said I get someone that doesnt speck English . Period ! This is sad for a credit bureau Really. Amount is $ *****. I want my refund back
