I have a statement that proves ALL of my AIDVANTAGE student loans were transferred to MOHELA as of 03/02/2023, but EXPERIAN is showing them as being held by both, which is doubling my amount of student loan debt to the point that I cannot get any new credit! Neither Equifax nor Transunion have made the same huge mistake! They also haven't updated balances that HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THEM BY MY CREDIT CARD COMPANIES in months sometimes! I can't believe this company is able to stay in business.Experian Consumer Services

This company is horrible. Within 24 hours after I signed up I got bombarded with rouge emails, one after another, which tells me they sold my information as soon as I downloaded the app. I know this because I have not used or signed up for anything with my email address. This should be completely illegal and this company shut down for doing it.Experian Consumer Services

I have had my credit frozen for several years. I went on to unfreeze my credit and it will not let me. It keeps telling me my information is not correct. IT IS DEFINITELY CORRECT!! I have tried the number to speak with someone and no one ever answers! This is super frustrating!!Experian Consumer Services

We recently updated our processes for administering security freezes. To add or remove a security freeze online, a consumer must visit www.experian.com/freeze. Existing Experian members will be prompted to sign into their membership. Non-members will be prompted to create a free membership in Experian CreditWorksSM Basic or to create an Experian Service Account. ************************************************** Basic is a free product that provides consumers access to their Experian credit report and FICO(R) Score once every 30 days, along with monitoring alerts which are updated daily. In contrast, an Experian Service Account does not involve enrollment in a membership. It is an online portal through which consumers may log in to manage a security freeze, as well as submit disputes and review dispute results. If consumers cannot or choose not to access our online services, they can contact ** by phone *************) or mail (ECA, PO Box ****, *****, ** *****).Review fromThomas F

Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding the FICO(R) Score 8 included in your membership. We realize that you may have seen a discrepancy in the score you received from a creditor related to your credit application and the score provided as part of your membership. We try to make it a point to inform our customers that various scoring models are available in the marketplace and have different potential uses. For instance, we include a disclosure on our site describing the score provided with the credit monitoring membership you purchased. Here, the score that is provided as part of your membership is the FICO(R) 8 model based on Experian(R) data. It is a score that many lenders use in the credit application decision-making process. FICO(R) Scores, ranging from 300 to 850, are developed by Fair ***** Corporation which specializes in developing credit-scoring systems for lenders and other businesses. This can help you see and understand how lenders may view your credit worthiness. It is used by many lenders and is indicative of your overall credit risk. Certain industries may use custom credit scores that are tailored to their specific needs. The custom scores may be unique to a specific industry, such as mortgage lending or auto lending. These custom scores may be created based on information found in credit reports together with other information from the lenders own portfolio, such as account history. We hope that this provides you some clarity as to the discrepancy between the two scores you received and the various scores available in the marketplace.Review fromMARJORIE T

I was trying improve my credit and I fell for the scammy app from Experian that takes your money and ***** your all my info and does NOTHING to improve your credit. Any dispute I made is ignored. All they do is to take your money and give you the worst credit score from the 3 credit beaurus regardless how much debt I have paid. I tried to talk to a manager but of course there are none available. I am still waiting for a manager to call me and explain what this is the only credit beauru that ****** me the worst score and it wont update regardless of reducing debt significantly and wont update disputes. Their incompetence and disregard for consumers rights is affecting my life.Experian Consumer Services

Thank you for addressing your concerns regarding your FICO(R) Credit Score. FICO(R) Scores are developed by Fair ***** Corporation. There are many credit score models used in the marketplace, and lenders may use whichever model(s) they prefer. Your FICO(R) Score is calculated based on the data in your credit report at the time you request your credit report and score. Differences in your score may be due to a change in balance on one or more of your credit cards, payment updates, or the addition of new accounts. Even the fact that your account(s) is one month older can affect your score. If there are inaccuracies on your credit report, these could also be affecting your score and should be disputed directly with the credit-reporting agency providing that information. In general, there are many factors that can affect an individuals credit score, such as payment history, current debt, available credit to debt ratio, etc. The actual scoring model and its calculations are proprietary to Fair ***** Corporation. Credit scores are usually calculated based on the combination of all the credit factors in your credit report. Your credit score is not based solely on one single item or behavior. So although you may have done something that you think should have changed your score, the FICO(R) Score actually looks at how this information combines with other information in your credit report and how, if any, this changes your credit score. The score analysis section that comes with your FICO(R) Score should help you understand what specific credit factors had a positive and negative affect on your FICO(R) Score.Review fromRobert L

If I could give -1 star I would. On July 28th I went on Experian to check my free credit report. I have been having a dispute with Experian since August. They charged ****** pay (which I do not have) and a charge went through my PayPal account. I never got an email verifying this transaction. A few days later I noticed a charge on my bank statement. For a charge from Experian through paypal. I immediately contacted Experian and said this was an erroneous charge. They subsequently sent me an email that I would be refunded within 5 days. That email is dated August 4 2023. I still have not received the refund from Experian. Many phone calls (most not answered or disconnected without any resolution) emails back and forth (with Experian only repeating that a refund was issued and it will take 5 days to receive) A complaint to the Consumer **************************** And, I still wait.Experian Consumer Services
