      I was looking at an email from Experian and it seemed to be offering a service that was not obvious that I would be signing up or agreeing to a membership that would have reoccurring charges. I have been charged for 4 months not knowing that I was being charged. I asked to cancel my account and to get a refund for all charges. This is unscrupulous corporate behavior. And the guy that answered the phone needed my name, social security number and my birthdate for identification. This was really upsetting to have to give up all of my personal information.

Our records indicate that you ordered a one-dollar credit report along with a trial membership on June 16, 2023. The membership was not cancelled; consequently, in accordance with the published terms of our offer, the credit card provided was charged our monthly membership fee on June 27, 2023. Per your request, your paid benefits ceased, effective September 27, 2023. You continue to have access to your Experian(R) credit report and FICO(R) Score once every 30 days, at no charge to you. Our website describes the offer and the order form details the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing at the end of the trial and monthly thereafter unless and until the customer notifies us of their wish to discontinue. The consumer agrees to these terms when submitting their order. We have, as a courtesy, issued an additional refund totaling $43.90 on October 8, 2023. Please allow 3 - 5 business days for these funds to process to the credit card account.At this time, we would like to express our regret that your experience with Experian CreditWorksSM may not have met your expectation or our standard of excellence. We strive for exceptional customer satisfaction and hope we have addressed your area of concern to your expectation.

      *** spent multiple hours each of the last 4 days talking to representatives and achieving nothing. And it was hard enough just to figure out how to talk to a real person! My application Ive spent the last year on is down the drain because they for some reason only accept credit checks from experian but whenever I try to get one it just says oops were sorry call this number and when you call the number its an automated message that does absolutely nothing to help solve the problem. After researching online this is a problem thats been present for years and affected tons of other people. Joke of a company.

      This company is by far the worst company ever. They say they are verifying from a company which I have a freeze on, the others Ive opt out of and they cant verify the information. They are so full of c*** You send certified mail and they never get it but yet when tracking the mail it said delivered. I guess the only way to actually stuff done is with a lawsuit.

      this company has called me 6 times in the last 24 hours , i have lost 45 minutes of my life talking to someone with no results .i have called 6 times today none of the prompts match my issue . the absolute worst i have ever encountered -

      I never post reviews, but Experian is among the worst customer ********************** I've ever encountered. They exposed my personal information in a data breach that was their fault. Then, they signed me up for Experian credit protection. However, I've now experienced fraudulent activity and called their help number and cannot find an actual human. I've tried every number prompt and can't speak to an agent. Why provide a phone when no one is actually there to help? They exposed my information through their negligence and, yet, they're not available when I need them. What a shameful enterprise. 0/5 stars. Would never recommend, yet our entire credit lives depend on their incompetence.

      Need help dealing with the Fraud Alert and Credit Freeze on my account so we can get a loan. Continue to be unsuccessful. Site is unfriendly. Nobody to talk to. They ask via the website to mail a form with ALL of our information, i.e. social security number, date of birth, etc. And to include a photo ID and a copy of a water bill for additional proof...IN THE MAIL. Essentially, putting ourselves at risk for...identity theft.Dealing with Equifax is quite frustrating. Hoping the other credit agencies are easier to work with.

      We recently updated our processes for administering security freezes. To add or remove a security freeze online, a consumer must visit www.experian.com/freeze. To add or remove a security freeze online, a consumer must visit www.experian.com/fraud. Existing Experian members will be prompted to sign into their membership. Non-members will be prompted to create a free membership in Experian CreditWorksSM Basic or to create an Experian Service Account. ************************************************** Basic is a free product that provides consumers access to their Experian credit report and FICO(R) Score once every 30 days, along with monitoring alerts which are updated daily. In contrast, an Experian Service Account does not involve enrollment in a membership. It is an online portal through which consumers may log in to manage a security freeze, as well as submit disputes and review dispute results.       Does anyone work there? I tried requesting my "free credit report" online multiple times. I always get an error message, even though I have provided my social security number, address, phone, email, etc. The error message gives a phone number to call. It's impossible to get a live person at that number or at any of the 3 other Experian numbers that I found online. I can't get my credit report, which the U.S. Government requires them to provide once a year, if requested.

      You only getting one star because I have to pick a star to be able to do this. I'm supposed to be a member yet I can't get a person on the phone, supposed to have a credit freeze yet you're given my credit information to everybody!!!!! You ****. I would never ever refer experian to anybody to use, even a business!! Tired of this so I'm contacting an Attorney about giving my information out when I have a letter that says you won't unless I contract you first!!

      Experian is the absolute worst and a rating of 1 is too high. It is very unfortunate that businesses use this as a benchmark for credit ratings as they are ******* points below their competitors: Equifax and TransUnion. They consistently blow up hard-working peoples credit scores for 1 missed payment in 5 years and could care less about the circumstances. The number on the credit report is a farce cause you only get an automated system that thinks it can help you but cannot. The dispute portion of experian is an absolute joke! its actually beyond a joke because yes a payment might be late but a death in the family and emergency surgeries are not valid reasons to miss a payment in a decade or even 5 years. Amount = $56 yes the amount was $56. I would not engage or purchase any services from this organization because they are horrible. Find a business that uses Equifax or Transunion to determine their credit scores and make sure they know why you chose elsewhere
