I put my items into storage a few years ago when I moved out of DC and recently had all of the contents of my storage unit delivered to my new apartment in ***. The service was great, communicating on timing was great. However, one of my most valuable furniture items that had a bluestone/marble top was not packed properly (it was not placed in any kind of bubble wrap) was shattered in 3 pieces when it was unpacked. Clearly it had been mishandled in the warehouse or in transit. Clutter is refusing to take responsibility for the improper packing and refusing to compensate me for the value of the piece because I did not purchase additional coverage. However, Clutter is liable for damage to items properly packed. This was a disappointing end to an otherwise good experience.Clutter

DO NOT USE. I hired them to move me out of my studio, 1 month of storage between leases, and move in to my new apt. The move out was easy and the team was very prompt and professional. The move in to my new place was a disaster. To briefly summarize:- They were late to start - The bill charges me for over 7 hours, but they were here for 3 - Movers caused damage to walls and wooden banisters that will cost a few thousand to fix -They left the premises during the appointment for upwards of 30 minutes that I was billed for. -They dropped and broke boxes, damaging some of my items. -They refused to follow directions on where I wanted multiple heavy boxes and items that I was unable to move on my own. -They refused to follow direction on where to park, blocking a neighbor's garage -They were not able to fit my couch into my apartment, so that had to be returned to the storage facility, and I will likely have to pay to deal with that as well. I am now on my second call to customer service to check on the status of my claim. At the very least, I need my bill corrected so that they return the funds I am owed.Clutter

1 starworst company! worst customer service. they overcharged me and said they will fix it and still nothing.it cost me over **** to move a few items and store over two months. supervisors and staff are unfriendly and unreliable. broke several items and offered me only a $100 courtesy credit. still waiting on answers for the overcharge.Review fromJosh W

HORRIBLE- DO NOT USE! On June 29th I hired CLUTTER for ************************************************ The entire experience with Clutter has been horrible. Their team arrived without any power tools and told me they had to wait for another Clutter team to drop off power tools so that they could de-assemble my bedframe. That added 2 extra hours onto my bill (which I disputed with Clutter and they credited $400 for). But I had booked a 5x10 storage unit and before my Clutter team left assured me everything would fit in a 5x10 and then I got a notification and the billing statement that they automatically upgraded my storage unit and charged me for a 10x10 WITHOUT my consent. Due to the fact that they automatically upgraded my storage (after I had told the movers I would remove things from their truck to ensure I didn't get bumped up to a 10x10) have now spent over $1600 for my items that were only in storage for 1 month and 1 day. After I took my stuff out of storage with them, they delivered my personal belongings and furniture to me worse than I left them. They improperly packed my rug which ruined it completely. They lost my art piece ($500) and they delivered my Restoration Hardware bed frame ($6000) with dirt, black spots, and handprints all over it due to the way they mis-properly packed it. They are saying the art piece is not their liability and they are telling me to have someone come and steam my rug. Worst experience I've ever had. Hopefully this saves you from booking with them.Clutter

Clutter is a shady, scam of a company. RUN. They overcharged my move from $11,100 to $25,092.36. They used a third party to move my stuff, but now are saying they never used a third party. They refuse to disclose who they hired to move my stuff and refuse to disclose how much they charged them. They legitimately lost, broke or damaged more then half of my stuff and they will do everything in their power to not reimburse you or offer $28 for a $200 broken item. There is no customer service you get sent to a call center 100 of the time. RUN FAST from this company. Sounds like they have lawsuits piling up agains them. Do not fall for their scam.Clutter

-5 stars Terrible experience from beginning to end. One of the guys who moved me out of my ex-partner's house, made explicit sexual advances, suggesting we f*** in my ex's bed. My ex-partner was not there, I was alone in the house with this man. I fended him off with an ultimatum I knew would send him running. It was extremely uncomfortable and frightening. I was a disaster after the move and didn't take action because I needed to move forward to put that chapter to rest. I got a shipment of my belongings about 5 months later then I discovered how poorly the movers packed my boxes. Nothing was wrapped properly, no bubble wrap, half-filled flimsy boxes, they were not moving boxes, and heavy items on top of fragile items. Anything that was breakable was broken or damaged. I had already packed a bunch of boxes in Lowes moving boxes and nothing from my boxes was damaged or broken, only the boxes packed by Clutter. When I discovered my things were disrespected I remembered I was also disrespected so I filed several claims. The compensation was based on the weight of the box. Now I understand why the boxes were half full. One box was completely missing it never arrived. The sexual harassment could not be substantiated. I do have texts from that day telling a friend what happened. I didn't get it on video because I was devastated by the breakup and wasn't thinking properly. The second shipment I packed myself so I wasn't too worried. It was supposed to be in 7 boxes. When I received the order it was repacked into 15 boxes. Again poorly packed, nothing was wrapped, and half-filled boxes. Anything that was breakable was broken or damaged. I didn't bother filing claims the process is lengthy and the return isn't worth it. STAY AWAY FROM CLUTTER they aren't good movers.Clutter

Clutter storage company's customer service is non exsitanc. Automatic emailed responses, off site call centers its the biggest scam ever! storaged items, when returned they were damaged & broken. Filled out claims, and clutter is doing everything not to reimburse me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they're mis- leading, they upscale sale, irresponsible with your stored items, you might have someone else's home goods returned with ur storaged items and they're insurance is up to their discretion. Clutter damaged metal legs on console table, never notifying. They just waited until I noticed! Then low balled me in offering to repair the bent metal legs, causing me additional work. I have requested to speak on the phone to a person in the states a manager since May, no one has ever called. I have used clutter many years prior and had a good experience. However, clearly the company has changed and customer service is NOT a part of their business model once they have your cc. Perhaps a manager will show up for court that seems to be my only option if filing a complaint with the BBB doesn't help. Clutter gets a 0 rating from me. Run use another company. Every complaint I read, I've pretty much had the same experience. Wish I had read this before during business with clutter storage ugh.Clutter

Clutter even do not deserve Zero star with the practices they follow doing there business, so many ways to get the money out from customer ********************** will move your stuff to different warehouse without notifying you Do not give access to your stuff , no communication as well.If you schedule a move , Clutter will not give everything to your movers , then later on want to keep your stuff by paying $1 / LB , this is disgustingClutter

1 starGiving one start because its requites, I would give them 0.Awful company that holds your things hostage then continues to charge you after you cancel.You can never get a hold of anyone on the phone, the app is faulty and does not reflect changes or cancellations.I donated sentimental and expensive items to get rid of them and the hassle that they cause only to find out that they charge for that AND never cancelled my account after I requested.
