      If you get Direct Tv from an authorized provider ******, and you cancel your service,with the provider they will still bill you.I was billed ****** for 5 months. Moved out of state and there apparently is no recourse. Buyer be warned.

      Please, please do not ever use DirecTV and be watchful of them! We discovered unrecognized monthly charges from DirecTV on our credit card. Upon looking into it, an account was set up NOT IN OUR NAME, but using our credit card. We did not authorize the charges in any way at all or even know about it until we discovered a second pending charge. We called them right away. Short story: hours upon hours of our life wasted because no matter who you talk to there, they lie and don't care. And after a lot of research, we discovered that DirecTV seems to be a VERY talented scam business and it appears they do this same thing to many people. We had to get our credit card company involved. Once we did that, DirecTV changed the total of the charge they were charging so that they could say it was not a recurring monthly charge but a different service we were also using...mind you, again, the proof they were giving our credit card company was not even our name or email associated with the account! We had to have the credit card company BLOCK them because every month, they wouldn't stop charging our credit card despite how many times we called them to say it wasn't us and to get our credit card out of their system! We were able to collect back all but one of the multiple charges. The credit card company compensated us for that final charge and even gave us extra for all we had had to deal with. I think even they were sick of the five months of fighting DirecTV's BS. Even to this day though, DirecTV continues to try to charge our credit card monthly, but we keep it blocked thru the credit card company. This company is a well oiled scam that knows exactly what they are doing. Please keep a watch on your accounts and if you ever see a charge from them, have your credit card company block them immediately to prevent future charges, because they are doing it on purpose and will change the amounts so that it's harder to dispute and in hopes that you will not notice when searching.

      I have been a life long ************ must tell everyone about my excellent customer service I received today from ******* in billing the ***** I called & asked for help to change my package? To ask how much my monthly bill would change? She explained how my grandfathered in package discount for long time customers was no longer available; she gave me monthly price changes for different packages, then she asked me the million dollar question that I did not think to tell her..I wanted channel 610. When she heard this, she kindly explained she could offer a channel add on WITHOUT changing my package. I thanked her & admitted I was an old f*** that didnt think about telling her why I wanted to make changes..silly me.She laughed with me, she answered all my questions she even asked if I could go & check my TV to make sure I immediately had channel 610 to watch *** today.I appreciate ******* SO MUCH for treating me like family. This is exactly why I continue to give my business to Direct TV. Thank you for showing me how much you appreciate your customers by hiring only the best to care for us. ******* in *********** rock!!

      I have contacted Direct TV on multiple occasions due to the steaming app not working on any devices (Computer, TV, and mobile devices). One technical service person told me it was because ATT and Direct TV are separating and it will take time. Another one told me they will escalate the ticket and just wait it out until its fixed. This has been going on for a week now and still no answer.

      DirectTV is the worst company i have done business with they fabricate their billing constantly trying to charge you for various fees such as adding the 24-month termination fee even though there should be none, i had a service agreement on my plan and they still tried to add the termination fee or charge me for equipment i did not have. After **************************************************************** they make up charges as they go along, missing equipment, cancellation fee, etc. Plus, to try and get through to them is a nightmare in itself, as they outsource everything.

      Directv is one of the most dishonest companies I have had deal. After being with them for 20 years and having to call almost every year to have my bill adjusted. They tend to add things they we do not ask for. Today I called to cancel my account. They insist I pay the bill thru March 13 which makes no sense to me. Since I am on autopay and there is no option to change the payment type it will come out of my account. If you plan to use this company I suggest you do not use autopay. In 6 mos my bill went from 155$ to 176$ to 252$ WITH ADD ONS I DID NOT AUTHORIZE with no notification.

      It is the worst service that I ever tried to install. The installer could get the company to turn the receive on the first install. I was stupid and let the come back for a second try. That was a mistake. Their packages were a sham. After the install left I had two Spanish channels and Im not Spanish. I canceled it 2 hours later and got charged for the entire month. Been on the phone with them off and on about 8 hours over the course of 5 days. Nothing has been resolved. I have two shipping boxes with the return label glued on them and the reciver wont fit in the box! So far I have been charged 146 dollars over the course of a month and have not received a refund. The coustmer service department is completely clueless about anything dealing with their own company. This is one of the worst experience that I have had with a sattlite service. Im shocked that they are still in business. I would recommend that if you have money to waste this is your business.

      I have never had a missed payment in over ten years with the company. My balance is zero. I called and called and was hung up on. I never got a call back. I called repeatedly to them and a parent company to no avail. I had a very simple request which clearly i am being ignored. I will not pay another dime to this company. I in fact will not only not pay further but eventually they will just turn off the service for non-payment which is all i wanted to start with. Canceled service should not be this difficult. I will never recommend or do business with this company again and will tell everyone i know to be aware of how they work. I was not a problem customer. They never had to turn off my service or **** me down for payment. To be treated like this is unacceptable.

      I had to give one star because its not possible to leave a zero. I have so many reasons to tell people NOT to go with DirecTV. They are not a good reliable business . They steal money from you, over charge you, lie to you and do not live up to their promises.Its no wonder the company is ********** yourself a favor and go with another streaming service- you will be glad you did

      I recently opened an account with **********************. I have been a loyal customer for 8 years but I just moved to *********, **. When I opened this account, customer service offered me a Latin package for $76.80 with the equipment rental fee included, taxes and fee and a $13 discount for 24 months. I tried to change the package to the most basic English channels without the local channels and they removed the discount offer and I now pay $92. It is insulting that English channels are more expensive than Spanish channels when I live in ***************** an English speaking country. I ask that this be changed, the Spanish packages should be more expensive than the English ones. I do not live in ****** or any Spanish speaking country, this is the ************* and I have the right to watch the English channels for an affordable price.
