I got an email from Stamps.com saying I owed $166 for something I never used. I tried logging into the site to cancel whatever it was and it said my screen name didn't exist and I couldn't sign in to see what I was being charged for. I want a refund if anything was charged to the card of the account. The account screen name is Jerrywayne85 but it won't let me sign in to figure out what's wrong. I think I used it once to mail a package back to Amazon or ***** That was last year and I just now got an email notice of the charges. Thanks for your time and help.

This complaint is regarding the business Stamps.com. This complaint is from myself ********************* and my husband *************************. On May 14, 2023 I received an emailing from Stamps.com stating that my credit card expired and I was being charged late fees for my overdue account. I had no idea that I had any type of account that charged any type of fees. In April 2020 when COVID hit, I wanted to order some stamps online. In order to do so, the website required that I start an account. Unbeknownst to me, it was a free trial. Just to order stamps?!?!? I did not receive ANY notification that I would then be charged a monthly fee. I never agreed in writing to pay any monthly fee. They billed my credit card $19.20 every month starting on May 15, 2020. They NEVER notified me that this would occur, or sent me any monthly bills stating this was being charged to me. This continued for 35 months, THIRTY FIVE! The last monthly payment was March 15, 2023. They collected $672 in total for a service I never knew I had, or ever used. I contacted customer service who agreed to refund me one month of fees, $19.20. They escalated it for me, since their resolution was not acceptable. There was no superior for me to talk with. I have heard nothing from them. I want a FULL refund of $672 for those fees. I included our very first payment from our Discover card bill that was from 5-15-20. The payments continued monthly, and I can provide each monthly statement if your desire. I then included the past 2 years of monthly payments from Discover Card. This is a very deceptive business that clearly makes money on innocent customers who have no idea they are being billed. This is a financial hardship for our family and I would appreciate your assistance in getting this resolved.

On June 14, 2023, Stamps.com made an unauthorized charge to my Discover credit card.No merchandise or service has been requested and no merchandise or service has been received from the merchant. Completely unauthorized charges. The merchant has not responded to requests to return my Discover card charges. I was billed for $20.15 for the second month in a row. This appears to be a recurring monthly charge. The merchant will not stop the recurring charges to my account despite my requests to do so.

Around January 05th i requested the cancelation and the refund of a service that was been charged on my account without my authorization with stamps. The cancelation and refund was attempted but was not processed with my bank because the debit card number was changed. The bank couldn't reactivated the card that was canceled neither Stamps could issue a refund in a different card number. The "solution"was issue a check in my company name. It's been passed 6 months and i never received the check. Called stamps several times and the answer, i will escalate. I was informed the last 4 times that i called that the check was approved and issued on April 10th, but they can't inform if it was sent or any tracking number....I suggested to have my money credit back to account where i can use it,,,but they say that is not possible....Here are some case numbers opened recently: Ref:#******-000660 / Ref#: 230605-000162 / Ref: 230505-000469 / Refe# ******-005896

    Dear *********,
Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate and consider your feedback and take our customers concerns very seriously.
Reviewing this issue for you, we do show that a check had been processed and mailed to you in April 2023.  We show that the request was entered on April 10, 2023 and approved.  It was mailed to you as the payee and the amount was $179.99.
Since you have not received it, rest assured that we have reentered a check request for you on 6/13/23.  We show it will be reissued in your company name.  Please allow 1-3 business weeks for processing and delivery.  If you do not receive this reissued check, please let us know.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide tracking on a check, as these are sent by First Class Mail in an envelope.
We do show that a credit card refund had previously been issued to the credit card on file for $179.99 on 1/6/23, to the credit card on file.  We apologize for any misunderstanding.

About 8 months ago, I contacted Stamps.com and asked that my account be cancelled. I had no recollection of ever enrolling in any Stamps.com program. I was told by the agent my account had been canceled. I also called AMEX and advised the same. Stamps.com continued to bill me. I then called AMEX again a couple months ago and demanded to stop payment and complete an investigation as Stamps.com continued to bill me. But Stamps.com continued the monthly billing. It is important to NOTE, I have NEVER USED ANY SERVICE FROM STAMPS.COM, EVER!! They intentionally and knowingly failed to close my account 8 months ago when I called and advised them I had never signed up for an account. Complete rip-off FRAUD.

We apologize for any misunderstanding.   We have reviewed our e-mail and phone contact history and unfortunately, we do not show that we have received any prior form of contact from you requesting cancellation prior to 6/12/23.  We do have multiple systems in place to ensure that we have complete records of all emails, chats, letters, and calls.
Please note that we keep a detailed record of all inbound calls to our service center, which include customer requests, support solutions, policy discussions, technical issues, and any other relevant information associated with each and every call, in addition to all e-mails going to and from our system.  Correspondence sent by regular mail is also tied to the account history for future reference.

I used the service for one month, then cancelled. They charged me for not only the second month, but for every month since (8 mos). I've cancelled via online and via customer service repeatedly. They still charge me every month. I don't know how to get them to stop charging my credit card!

In August of 2020, I supposedly made an account with ********************** and entered my business credit card. I do not personally recall creating this account and strongly question it as I hardly ever send out physical mail and when I do, I have always bought a roll of stamps from our local post office. In fact, I make weekly trips there anyways. I find it very hard to believe that I signed up for this service. When talking to a service rep on the phone, she stated I may have ended up using their service to EDIT a stamp which would have also required me to accept a user agreement and terms and conditions. We were billed for 2 years without any notification being sent to the email (my email) that was associated with the account. Our billing accountant just recently for the charge in my credit card statement, which is the only reason this was brought to light. In the 2 years of having this account, we have never ONCE used the account to print a single stamp or packaging item. I requested to be refunded the 2 years of money for a service I have never once used. They agreed to refund $100. This is an incredibly shady business and it sounds like I am not the only one who has had similar complaints about this.
