Hyundai makes absolutely garbage cars. The 2022 Tucson is the worst car I have owned. The current issue is the fuel injectors. These are a known issue with the car, and the company will only change them out as they go out. There is a service bulletin out for them. This means that if you are like me and break down on a road trip, you will have to depend on their trip interruption coverage. But wait, that only covers the days that it is in the shop. So, even if you are hundreds of miles from home and your destination, you either have to drive back as soon as the car is fixed, stay and wait in the town that the car was repaired in with no ETA on when it will be fixed, or pay for your own rental car. And to add on to that, they will only cover $60 a day for a rental. This is on top of the low-quality interior of the car and its overall low build quality. Hyundai should have to recall all of these cars and go back to the drawing board. This was my third Hyundai, and it will be my last.

I was loyal to the Hyundai brand for nearly 20 years and never thought I would say this, I do not recommend Hyundai vehicles. I hope that sharing my experience will help save someone else the heartache (and money!) that I experienced. Hyundai used to make great cheap/beater cars that got me thru ************ 20's with simple maintenance, I've owned a total of 6. But their newer engines have known issues which they fail to remedy. While pregnant with my second child I decided to upgrade to a mid-size SUV with 3rd row seating (Santa Fe), it was used but meticulously maintained and in excellent condition. A few months after purchasing I noticed an increase in oil consumption and was topping it off more often than expected/normal. There was no smoking or burning, the oil was just going missing. I started looking for service openings, when the engine blew up. There was no warning aside from the oil consumption; no service light, engine hesitation/knock/tick, etc.. Come to find out, this is a common issue in recent years (2010 & newer) as the engines exceed ******* miles. I wish I would have known about the class-action lawsuits brought against Hyundai before continuing to support this brand. I reached out to Hyundai America since it was past the warranty period, but within the mileage of a warranty extension on the 4-cylinder which was brought on by the class action lawsuit (note that mine is a 6-cylinder, so not covered by the warranty extension) and they opened a case for a Goodwill repair. I was so relieved! But soon to be let down. The process was painful as my case was passed around to different case managers, none of which were responsive to any contact method. In the end Hyundai denied help with any repairs and it actually cost me thousands in rental ***************** fees while the case was pending, all of which they assured me would be covered once my case was approved.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I am now on my 2nd potential engine replacement in a Hyundai car. First a 2015 Sonata, now a 2018 Tuscon. In both instances, Hyundai did virtually nothing to remedy the situation. There was a class action lawsuit against them for these faulty engines. As a result of that lawsuit, Hyundai is responsible for replacing these engines and providing a rental car in the meantime. It is multiple months until any Hyundai within 200 miles can see the car. **************** is incredibly rude and incompetent. They cannot answer simple "yes or no" questions and refuse to provide anything in writing when asked to do so. They have not provided a rental. They take days, if not weeks, to get back to me. Horrible business and I think everyone should know not to buy a Hyundai.

After 5 years of having 2018 Elantra, the dealer is saying the car need a new motor due to sludge. I replace my own oil every 5k miles just like my other cars. This is the only car that I had I had this problem. Im very disappointed of the performance of Hyundai and will never by another Hyundai.

One of the worst companies ever to deal with. Do not by a Hyundai. Not only do they have engine failure that they do not have a recall on. But dealing with their customer service department is a nightmare. My car died in July. I had to prove I had oil changes before they agreed to replace my engine. I couldn't get a rental they had my car for 6 weeks. And now it's been three months trying to get reimbursed for the rental I had to pay for. Stay away!

Sir/**** I am trying to get a true understanding as I will be appealingthis action. The engine completelyceased Dec 2019. I was without a care had no rental. Then ** was told by the Hyundai dealership when they finallyhad a chance to look at two weeks later that it is more Than likely the corporateoffice is not going to replace the engine as I was over the odometerreading. Please explain to me how it was under a warranty. So what is the right thing to do? Get a car off course so I can get to work and feed my family right. I am upset as I believe they are set to be deniedbased on the amount of vehiclespossiblyhaving these issues. However the fact is I traded the vehiclein and took the value the Ideal Hyundai presented to me of 800 dollars. So I can get to work. I purchased a car but a buik from the dealership that I hate but it is what I could afford. One is you communicating with the dealership to get the fact to understand I traded the car. I still go to this dealership for maintenance. It's about time I address the corruption of this to the Better Business Bureauand I hope others read this cause it is not being handled correctly.

Hyundai motor burning excess oil and the company is refusing to assist with engine replacement or even running the oil consumption test even tho the vehicles is under 100k . I have been advices by multiple technicians to have the test run and covered while under the 100k Theres a class action lawsuit about faulty engines and I feel completely alone now and still owe on my vehicle that should be given a new engine. I have maintained and taken care of the engine and even gone in for top off and general maintenance ahead of schedule

Been trying to add Bluelink to a vehicle I purchased for close to a week. The fee for this service is not cheap. I called and uploaded all the documents they asked for plus one more on line within their app and also in email. When I called to find out the status three business days later, a representative told me that I needed to upload documents again stating that they sent me an email stating this....I NEVER RECEIVED SUCH AN EMAIL. I guess that they don't want my $200.00 + a year. I'm disgusted with the entire experience.

I purchased a 2019 Hyundai ****** 2 years ago. I've had 3 check engine lights on. The last one they replaced my catalytic converter. This time it took almost a week for someone to diagnose it and to call me back from the home office. The dealership told me that the engine failed internally. The home office told me that they have to perform an engine consumption test then I would have to drive it ***** miles. I explained that I would not put my toddler in a car that's not safe and with winter coming the risk of being stranded. This car only has ****** miles. What I was told today is that that dealership can drive the thousand miles but they can't give me a loaner because they pay for their loaners. I also pay for my car!!!! DON'T BUY A HYUNDAI, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY!!!
