July 28, 2022 I purchased a VAVA security camera kit VA-HS003 for $89.99 through Amazon. Unfortunately I purchased a second VAVA kit on August 6, 2022 for $63.59 through Amazon.October 2023 both base stations for the cameras dropped off line. I contacted VAVA on the issue. After several calls I was informed VAVA would no longer update software. Though my purchase was just past the 12 month warranty VAVA would not refund purchase. VAVA did offer a $15.00 coupon to order something else?? I have purchased and installed two new systems from a different supplier.I did notice on your web site the large number of complaints on VAVA business practices. So sad Thanks ******

I ordered the Vava split screen monitor from *** in ********, ** on 4/1/2023. Several weeks ago, the parent unit stopped charging unless the cord was finagled in various ways, and even then it would stop randomly. I reached out to Vava as Ive only owned this for 8 months. I had to send videos of the issue which I did and was told theyd send me a replacement. The following day, they told me they could no longer send a replacement because Abt was not an authorized retailer. I contacted *** who said they no longer carry this product and that I am still under warranty with Vava. I emailed Vava once again with this information and was told there is nothing they can do for me except offer me a $15 discount on a new monitor. This is, in fact, my second monitor through them - the first I purchased on Amazon and when the screen stopped working, it had been over a year so there was nothing they could do which then prompted me to buy one from my local store as I have two young kids and didnt want to wait for shipping from Vava. It is not my fault that Abt stopped carrying their product - my monitor is 8 months old and defective under warranty and should be replaced like I was told in the first place or I want them to give me my money back.

I purchased this projector from the company and it's was malfunctioning a few month after: I ask the company to replace the item and they want me to cover the shipping and would not send me a replacement unless they receive the defective item. They also consider my location remote, mind you, they shipped this item to me no problem when it was purchase. They cannot give me a timeframe on my return as well. I told them this is an inconvenience to me since I use the item as my television.

Purchased a baby monitor in August through the Best Buy website. According to Best Buy and the companys website, this monitor has a 1 year warranty. The screen no longer charges. *** contacted the company to honour the warranty and they refuse to do so because it was purchased off Best Buy.

I bought the VAVA 4k UST Laser Projector on July 17, 2020. I payed almost $3000 for it. It is now inoperable after moderate usage. The unit will not stay on for longer than about 30 seconds. I can hear an audible "pop" when the unit shuts down, implying an electrical arc that turns the projector off, which renders it unusable. I have inquired with VAVA customer support to attempt to troubleshoot and fix the problem. I have sent them a video of the exact issue. They sent back generic troubleshooting steps (none of which had any effect), and then requested my unit's serial number and purchase receipt (attached below). Upon receiving that info, the customer service agent seemed to immediately know that the issue would require extensive repair (as if alluding to a batch/quality control issue in a component that they are aware of). The next email they sent implied that my unit was out of warranty and nothing could be done. I then attempted to get a repair price quoted, of which the customer service replied with a cost of "$1500 to $2000 USD". Considering that I paid almost $3000 for the unit in the first place, I find that cost unsuitable. Further, I have little confidence in the quality I would receive back from them anyway. My argument goes like this:If the problem is known to be a systematic issue with a particular batch or with a particular component in a batch, then it seems reasonable that VAVA should replace or repair the unit for a more reasonable fee. The fact that this issue took over 3 years of moderate usage to manifest itself leads me to believe that it is a design flaw or quality issue, and not a product of my doing or usage. I would like at the least a more reasonable repair cost (i.e. something in the realm of $200), a replacement, or a refund minus device attrition (to be calculated in a reasonable, intelligent way). My personal opinion is that something you pay ~$3000 for should last longer than 3.5 years.

I purchased a total of 10 outdoor security cameras between 12, 30, 2021 and 01, 11, 2022. Activities captured and monitored on these cameras can be viewed on one's personal smart phone. Last month VAVA terminated that capabilities and customers no longer can view monitor/view anything on their phones. An intruder can breaks in with no worries of being arrested while committing his/her crime. Only after the violations have been committed a customer can see what was recorded on the base SD cards, provided the cameras batteries still had juice to record the violation. With out the App on the phone customers can't tell if the cameras still has power. It is a hit or miss. These cameras are now just dummy cameras unless they have juice. I purchased these cameras and other thinking that we have systems that will last for at least 8 to 10 years. Myself, I spent $331.03 on these cameras and I have contacted the manufacturer and requested total refund or a replacement from a reputable security cameras company. They refused and only offered $99.30 which is an insulting offer. I would like to register a complaint against this company and request if not full refund, then no less than 70% of the original purchase for a total of $248.28.

Dear Better Business Bureau. I am writing to file a formal complaint against VAVA and/or affiliates formed under or reorganized from the parent company, regarding their inadequate support for their Home Security system, affecting myself and numerous other customers who have invested in their camera systems.Over the past 30 days, I have made multiple attempts to reach out to VAVA concerning the lack of an app to support the camera and home station hardware, only to be informed that they will not be providing support for these products moving forward. This lack of commitment to their customers is highly disconcerting.Furthermore, there is an alarming uncertainty about the support for other VAVA camera products, including baby cams and dash cams. The company's refusal to stand behind their customers who have invested in their camera systems raises serious concerns about the longevity and reliability of their entire product line.In light of this situation, I believe there are two potential courses of action that VAVA should consider. Firstly, they should either commit to returning the investment of all affected customers or, secondly, take prompt measures to fix their app, ensuring the continued functionality of our camera systems. It is important to note that my attempts to seek assistance from Amazon, where some of my purchases were made, were unfruitful, as they cited a two-year timeframe since the original purchase. This lack of support from both the manufacturer and the retailer is unacceptable and calls for intervention. As a concerned consumer who has invested in a total of 20 cameras, purchased from various sources including ************* and directly from VAVA, I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention. I trust that the Better Business Bureau will investigate this issue thoroughly and take appropriate action to address the grievances of VAVA customers.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I purchased their baby monitor Feb 2022 and in Jan 2023 I filed a claim with the warranty due to issues with the monitor and was sent a replacement for it. In November 2023 I noticed issues with the replacement unit that had been sent. In looking online, I found this same problem to be a very common issue of their product, having charging issues. My problem was that the unit is charging intermittently and occasionally I feel the unit and cord getting hot to the touch. It also powers off at random and resets entirely. I was not asking for a renewal on my warranty, but I did request some flexibility on resolving this issue with the monitor. This product is specifically designed for use in houses with small children and issues with electricity is certainly a safety problem in this instance. The company said that because the warranty had passed there was nothing they could do. They offered a coupon for $15 off a new monitor that costs $120. This felt as if they are pushing another bad product on me that *** or *** not work instead of trying to fix the actual problem, the replacement unit they sent me was faulty.Again, this issue is incredibly common in reading other reviews and considering the safety issue, a recall should be conducted. This company does not stand by their product. Especially at this price point, they should not be sending out bad units as replacements for warranty issues.
