Hyundai Finance is a total rip off of consumers. Not applying extra principle payments but add it to their interest. This finance company is totally evil, dishonest, destructive to consumers.

We purchased a Hyundai Veloster in 2018 from a *********** ******** dealership with 6,195 miles classifying it as "Almost New".This included being told by the dealership we qualified for the 100,000 mile/10 yr warranty with my husband and myself even purchasing an additional extended lifetime powertrain program. The paperwork from sale stating we had the Automotive Preferred Care +Plus program. There has been multiple recalls and this included work on the knock sensor and rod bearings (which we were told are fine). The rod bearings effect the engine(one of the recalls stating that some vehicles were eligible for engine replacement-ours was not). However we were already experiencing a noise while running before this recall. After a few trips to be compliant with recalls, evaluation on noise, and services per their suggestions, the car started going into limp mode, meaning no power, which is not good on the interstate. We have almost put in quite a bit of money jumping threw the correct hoops. The mileage is at 97,877 miles currently. On 3 tows, replacement of the knock sensor twice, catalytic converter replacement, and carbon cleaning(suggested as maintenance but not in the maintenance guideline). The vehicle remains undrivable. Suntrup(Who have been great) placed a request for engine replacement. This was declined by headquarters. The service center at Suntrup offered some suggestions on additional diagnostic to make it drivable. We appealed to headquarters and a ticket created. An agent from HQ said he would look into this after contacting Suntrup with a follow up.On call back from the HQ agent, they advised that they got in touch with Suntrup who suggested no engine replacement.Headquarters basically lied and we believe it is because it needs an engine but due to the mileage they are trying to decline it to get it to 100,000 mi. We have all the paperwork from sale to services and have been without a vehicle since November. At this point we are seeking legal advice-*********

I am a new customer to ***, My previous vehicles were financed by CAPITAL ONE auto finance. Great company. I purchased a new 2024 *** ********** never been a fan of *** and the vehicle was just really nice. 1ST Issue seats heating up to the point were it was burning my leg through the seat. Called dealership. They say maybe you touched the heated seats, I didn't but ok. Eventually received recall smd potential burn warning, stating select could cause the car to catch fire. 2nd thing I have been degraded by ***s offshore customer service, he was rude and nasty, hung up on me, refused to transfer to a supervisor. I called bk they act like it's nothing Today unfortunately I got the same guy. Very hostile talked to me in the most unprofessional way. Im a customer service supervisor, so I make it a point to never talk ugly to people. *** allows it's male offshore agents to treat their female customers with flagrant disrespect. I will be trading my vehicle as soon as feasible.

I've been without my car for 7 months. I pay $680 a month. I love my car, and I've been stuck with loaner vehicle after loaner vehicle due to a warranty issue that *** seemed to have solved months ago. According to the rep, I called the customer line and got to the top person I could talk to. Not to mention, while stuck in a loaner vehicle, I was in a car accident in which I was not at fault. The car I was driving was much smaller and weighed much less, and I sit much closer to the dash in that car than I do in my vehicle. Now, I have to live with significant issues because Hyundai did not want to implement the same fix to a known warranty issue that *** has already solved. Loaner vehicles are not guaranteed to be similar to the cars you own. Other than a $150 gift card for the 7 months I have been inconvenienced, I was not going to get anything else, according to the rep.
Additionally, the time my car has been sitting in an uncovered lot, not moving, and suspectable to the elements was not Hyundai's concern, and I'd need to take it up with the dealership. I have always been a loyal Hyundai owner, referred many people, and have only spoken highly of the brand until faced with the truth of the key facts. Hyundai will not implement solutions to its product issues and resolve complaints as quickly as its competitors. Hyundai does not care about the inconvenience consumers experience, and even though they are making money off the ineffective product, they will not offer any impactful compensation. Hyundai will return the blame to the dealerships and even its consumers when the inconvenience is a malfunctioning product. Life lesson: I should have gone with a ***.

We got a lease in a *** dealership for a Niro EV in 2022 since they had a promotion that gives a rebate of 11000 thousand but only if you get the car in a lease. The whole issue was a trap. We came to realize now that the car was significantly overpriced. We express our intention to buy the car afterward and they still let us go with lease knowing that we will end up paying a lot of Money in taxes and extra fees at the end if we wanted to keep the car. The car has not given problems, but it is not really worthy what we are paying for it which is over 50 thousand considering is not luxurious, the rear-view camera has an image of very poor quality, the screen is very small. The car does not have automatic opening of the back door, etc..
The supposed rebate and incentive money were not even enough to cover the price of all the extra expenses when one gets a lease. We went to see our options recently and they still have that supposed incentive of 11000 on a new Niro EV and the base price is shipper compared to the price we have to pay for our 2022 old car...
Do not fall in the deceptive ways of *** finances and Kia dealerships. With the same Money you may get a better car with more Luxurious features. Definitely do not get a lease with Kia if you intent to buy later: It is not worthy. You will pay much more money at the end.

My account was marked as past due which dropped my Credit Score over 40 points. I have called multiple times and even they have confirmed my account is not past due- it's actually paid off. I have asked them to correct it with the credit bureaus but they have said I have to call them individually. I am really aggravated because I am now at the end of my lease and no company wants to provide me the lease buyout loan because they think I owe Hyundai money! I dislike their customer service, each time I am told something else and they can't fix it.
