1 starHorrible experience per usual! However this time was worse and even more dangerous! For starters with the smaller things- Not only do machines not work, they are also a hazard how they are left broken. A cable machine (that had no signage of being broken) had a snapped cable that literally is laying in the floor and is a tripping hazard. In the HEATED sauna were two metal ketal bells which obviously are a burn hazard if someone were to touch them. There is NO AIR. There a box fans in the vents where there should be air coming out. As I stated there is no air, meaning no ventilation. Which means the gym probably should not have been having the paint redone while gym members were there due to fumes. The biggest issue of them all a young girl passed out in the womens locker room hallway due to over *************** (not to her own fault). She started fainting upstairs where it was the hottest and where the paint fumes were, she made it to the locker room hallway where luckily her cousin was with her and several members stopped to cool her down, and nurse her back to a functioning condition. When the front desk staff was notified tjeyxdid nothing to assist but watch and bring a bottle of electrolytes. They just kept asking will she be okay, no offers to help, call emergency services, suggestions to get her to a cooler area of the gym NOTHING. That place is a HAZARD! They closed State & 8th down but brickyard shouldve been THE FIRST TO GO!Review fromGreggory K

1 starThey use grifter sales tactics. Sold into contract under false pretenses. Contracts are uncancallable after finding out you have been taken advantage of.Review fromJim M

1 starThe LA Fitness in ***** was recently remodeled, which is great to see. However, the underlying lack of management and care for their members is atrocious. Before the remodel, the lighting system in the aerobics/Yoga room was broken, and the lights could not be adjusted down or off during Yoga, which, for anyone who has done Yoga, knows that's a huge requirement to be able to enjoy a true Yoga session. Management has been notified numerous times to the point that they are now fed up with the number of complaints, but choose not to address the issue, and has told their employees who are receiving these complaints about the lights not being able to be turned off that there are NO plans to fix the lighting issue. The irony is that they plan to refinish the wood floor in the Yoga room, which we all know is much more expensive than fixing the lighting. Their behavior all these years has been consistent, which is not caring about the customer/member, except when it comes to the monthly fees they charge for no service!Review fromTianna L

1 starI am writing to formally express my concern regarding an unpleasant interaction I had at your facility involving one of your staff members, Sales Manager ******** ********.During my recent visit, I approached Mr. ******** with a simple request to have a piece of gym equipment inflated. His response was dismissive and unprofessional. He stated, "I'm not doing that. I don't know what to tell you," without offering any assistance or directing me to someone who could help. At the time, he appeared to be preoccupied with his phone and continued texting during our interaction, which further contributed to the perception of disinterest and disregard for customer service. This level of unprofessionalism is disappointing, particularly from someone in a management position who is expected to lead by example and support members of the gym. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately to ensure a more respectful and helpful environment for all members.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I would appreciate a response regarding any actions taken to resolve this issue.Review fromDaniela G

1 starI had a really bad experience as someone who was about to work ******** first, I was hired and excited to start. But immediately after the interview, I faced poor communication and a clear lack of respect. I was sent to the wrong locations several times; places where no one even knew who I was. I wasted time and gas, and had to call repeatedly just to find out my start date. Then came the contract. I was encouraged not to read it carefully. When I did, someone asked if I was wasting time on it just to extend into overtime; instead of starting work. But in any professional setting, paperwork comes first.I was promised reimbursement for the background check, then told on the day I was supposed to start that there was actually no availability. When I contacted payroll, I was left on hold for 30 minutes only to be told they had no record of the reimbursement. Managers mostly ignored my messages. No one ever introduced their roles; only names. A month later, I was told I might get paid in a few days. I had also asked multiple times if my bank account was set up for payment and received no response. Then came the call: Your colleague accidentally deleted your work account, sorryyy. That was shocking. On top of that, I was encouraged to take and pay for an expensive course for a better role. While I was doing it, they stopped responding altogether.I was proactive, polite, professional, and patient. I invested time, money, and energy; and got nothing but stress in return. The pay doesnt make up for ***** for the gym: equipment is dirty and outdated, hygiene is poor, and some trainers dont physically represent what they coach. Clients look more fit than trainers, probably because the staff isnt paid enough to care.Review fromGavin S

1 starI have been trying to downgrade my account for two months at my local LA Fitness. They not only laughed at me and told me "I wouldn't do that" they snickered as they said they would let management know. I've been told they would let management know TWICE and TWICE I've been charged for a guest on my account when I've asked them to downgrade me. The last call I had said "They were too embarrassed to tell me they don't have a manager." Excuse me... huh? That ***** for them and they shouldn't be put through that but how is that an answer. There are multiple machines broken FOR YEARS and I cannot understand why I can only talk to the local LA fitness and there is NOOOOO customer support. Absolutely appalling customer service and lack of management.Review fromAlejandra R

1 starThe janitor who works from Monday - Thursday is a psychopath. She is the only janitor that places the bucket right next to people who are working out and while you are working out, you can smell the bleach. I reported this to the corporate office numerous times, but nothing has been resolved and the manager doesnt do anything about it, instead they hung up the phone on me. I have been to other gyms and all the janitors puts the water buckets away from people so they don't need to smell the bleach while they are working out. And the front staffs are rude and makes you feel unwelcoming. And there are several times, the janitor was standing right behind me while I was working out and she freaked me out. So I moved to different machine, and the janitor followed me again and placed the water bucket right behind me. I have been LA fitness member for 15 years and never had this kind of issues until recently. Now I see why this LA Fitness has so much negative reviews compare to other LA Fitness. I also have membership with *******, and the janitors don't dare to come near people while they are working out. This is all due poor management. If there was another gym nearby, this gym will not survive. And some of my Asian friends who doesn't speak English that well were mistreated and start going to Orangetheory. And I am starting to see less and less people at this gym. Hmmm.i wonder why? I would not join this gym if I were you based on to much of negative reviews from other people. Looks like some of them were bait and switched due to language barrier. BTWthe LA fitness that I am having issues with is located at the ************************ in ****** CA off of ***********Review fromLeonor S

1 starMy main concern is the manager and his side kick who is in charge of guest passes. Me and my guest were racially discriminated against at the LA fitness valrico location and grouped in with a group of people who try to do things against company policy. I honestly am in shock. I have been coming here for almost 8 years if I wanted to do things against company policy why would I wait 8 years to do soBoth managers were very rude to me and said word for word they have the ability to issue/activate a guest pass while in the same sentence trying to say he wont activate his VIP GP because he seen us at the location last week..Me and my guest tried to go in last week together and were turned around by the same manager and his side kick because I was told my account wasnt in good standing. I got my account in good standing later that same day! next week comes and I told my guest lets go up there to finally get his 7 day VIP guest pass activated so we can workout and to let me know especially bc my account was in good standing now. (Mind you my guest never got to actually be a guest the week before because my account wasnt in good standing we just left and I updated my payment online)! So my guest goes to go in but by himself this time to set up his VIP GP and is then racially discriminated against by the same manager and his side kick. They gave him a hard time told my guest he couldnt enter because when they type in his name from his ID in the system it just says no GP. I asked why does it say that if I can send someone a 7 day VIP pass and they were just about to set it up for my guest just last week until I was told my account was not in good standing! instead of explaining why my guest cant enter the side kick aggressively says why did I see him here last week while the manager chuckles.. I was in shock at what I realized was happening, my guest was turned around last week with me and they were making false assumptions now because our color!Review fromLiv K

1 starThe **************** studios air conditioning has been down for over a month. Literally, nothing has been done. It feels like a sauna box in there and so unsafe health wise.
