I just purchased a townhouse and closed in ***********. I used the local *********** branch. ***************************** was awesome! It was a simple and smooth closing and I never had to question anything. Every step was spelled out. It made me feel confident that I had the right team behind me. I recommend LoanDepot to supply your lending needs and I will continue a professional relationship with this company!LoanDepot

I chose to go with Loan Depot for my mortgage. The loan process was very easy with them. It went very smooth. BUT beware of the fine print that they have the right to sell your mortgage to whom ever they want. There is NOTHING you can do or say about it.2 weeks before my first mortgage payment was due, Loan Depot sent a letter stating no to pay them the first payment because my loan was sold to a company in ***************. I then set up direct payment with the new company. On the day my mortgage was due, Both companies took the mortgage payment. Here is the catch. Loan Depot had no right to take money from my account, nor did I give them permission. This was done illegally. Then then proceeded to tell me that they wired the money to my new company in ***************. Here I am 3 weeks later and have not been able to get my money back. This is by far the worst business practices I have ever experienced. They can take your money wrongfully and frankly illegally in an instant, but when you want it back they sit on it and hold it collecting interest and leaving others in financial hardship.Do not use this company if you value American companies, honest, integrity and plain and simple, doing the right thing and fixing your mistakes and pleasing the customer.LoanDepot

Loan depot's customer service is terrible. I have been dealing with the loan modification department for the last 6 months, and 6 months is being nice. I have received emails, and letters saying they are working on it. Each correspondence from the company has a separate number with a extension to contact directly if I have any questions. The number provided goes straight to voice mail. I've made several attempts to make contact with no avail. I tried again today to make contact through the toll free number and spoke to a customer service representative to see if she could connect me to the department. She told me I had to deal with her directly. I asked if I could be connected to a customer or consumer advocate. She said that she is the advocacy representative. So I wanted to file a complaint, I was told by her that she would submit it for me. I asked if there's a form or email that I need to submit. She told me no and she would do it. Now once again, this is the general customer service department. How can she express my concerns or feelings for me? I guess I'm not really free to ask my own questions. I think this is a bad way of doing business and having concerns met. Also if it is something they can't answer, then your put on hold while you get transferred anyway. Why not eliminate the middle man and just connect us in the first place. They really need to work on their customer service. This is bad for businessLoanDepot
