Loan Depot ripped me put of an appraisal fee knowing I could not get the loan.After all I went through to apply for a loan with them.After I sent them ****** for an appraiser to come out.They turned me down.They knew I lived in a Modular home.They consider it a mobile home.That was not mentioned to me at all.The appraiser told me she told them this was a mobile and she knew they didn't loan on mobile homes.The Loan Officer should have known this.He has worked for them 3 yrs.I am sure I am not the first person to apply thay lives in a mobile home.I feel like they just ripped me off.I think they should send my money back.Of course now they won't answer and of my messages.Do not ever consider this place unless you don't mind being cheated.

This company is horrible! We would get the information that they requested to them in a prompt manner and then something else would come up! This happened to many times to say. When it came down to the final then they wanted a letter from our current mortgage company about a s**** up they did but also fixed! We started pursuing this refi in Aug 2022 and by Nov 2022 they still weren't happy with the information that we had given them, which was in the guidelines of an FHA refi loan! They have no business being a lender! The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing! They all have these fancy titles to there name and nobody knows anything! I've never dealt with more incompetence in my life! before anything was even signed they had contacted our homeowners insurance *** and had the payee changed to them.LoanDepot

We would like to have a corporate officer of your company call ** to explain how our ****** County and City Taxes for 2022 were paid by Loan Depot without our authorization. We have been a customer (Loan #) for years and have never used Escrow as a means of paying our Property taxes. In March of 2022, we got a letter from Loan Depot stating that they were going to pay the taxes for 2021 if we did not pay by a certain date. We mailed the county office a check, however Loan Depot had already paid the taxes. At this point, an Escrow payment of $792.57 was added to our monthly mortgage payment. This was for a 4-month period. We paid the extra payment from July to October. At this point we were expecting our payments to go back to the normal $1933 and change. We received our 2022 tax statement by mail not due until 1-5-23. Low and behold, I go to pay what I believe was the normal monthly payment and what a surprise we received. Loan Depot without notice escrowed our taxes again on October 27, 2022. Again, your company is asking me to pay an additional $792.57 each month. When amortized over a year would be $9,510.84.We will soon be closing on the sale of the property. At this time, we were planning on paying our property taxes from the proceeds of the sale. This would be paying the taxes timely and in full. Instead, we have the Loan Depot surprise.Our main complaint is that we had no idea that our taxes would be escrowed going forward. We did not authorize such action and we feel violated with regard to our finances. In addition, an employee named ***** from the tax department was very rude and disrespectful to our concerns. He just wanted to defend the company no matter what and could not even lend an ear of concern to our situation. He was argumentative which in turn put me in a bad place in the communication.We would like to speak to a Corporate Officer today about this issue.LoanDepot

Our Loan Consultant *************************** was a God-send for first time home buyers like us. She was accessible, answered any question we had, and had an approachable demeanor that made us feel like she was truly invested in getting us the best deal possible. We've heard horror stories about how hard it is to work with mortgage lenders, but came away from working with Loan Depot feeling truly blessed and cared for. She anticipated our needs which truly helpful for folks like us who didn't know what our needs were, and explained the confusing parts of getting our first mortgage in clear, easy to understand terms. Would recommend calling her for anyone seeking a mortgage, ESPECIALLY a first time home-buyerLoanDepot

Bad company experience. Had a pre approval with a loan officer ******* when she left the company I was unaware and when she left so did my approval. I called and talk with alot of people about my approval not one person was knowledgeable about any of her approvals. So now im being told I had to get reapplied and get re preapproved with someone else and I had to all start over again just so my rates would change I was already approved at 4.9 and now since I have to start over I'm getting the new rate of 6.8 not only that was told they don't lock rates when there ads say they lock rates. This company ***** at customer service Im finding a new loan company.LoanDepot

This was the best experience I have had with any type of loan. I was able to contact my agent either by phone or text and he responded immediately. He worked hard and fast and I was able to close faster than I ever expected. I recommend going with them and will be sending my family and friends.LoanDepot
