The loan officer I worked with for a mortgage refinance kept pressuring us to buy points to get a lower rate and implied several times that not taking advantage of the lower rate would be dumb. When I shared our timeline and financial goals, I was invalidated and told that I was essentially wasting his time. Based on two unpleasant interactions I realized this would not be a good fit for us, so we decided to not move forward. In spite of not agreeing to literally anything, my husband and I each received thick packets in the mail with a loan cost breakdown for a horrible interest rate by todays standards. By this point we had already gone with another company that was a better fit for us, and we had been approved and started the loan process. However, we began receiving other mail about how we had a adverse action and negative marks on our credit report that led to LoanDepot denying us a loan, which was all pretty much BS considering the high scores that we have and the fact that we got approved elsewhere already. I will be filling out any forms that say I do not want our information shared nor do I want paper communications, but it is a pain. DO NOT start a loan inquiry with LoanDepot if you want to possibly work with someone who aggressively pressures you to buy points when you do not want to, alongside receiving wasteful paper communications even if you do not agree to move forward with anything.LoanDepot

The experience I had with Loan Depot (**) was extraordinary! Every member of the ** Team was exceptional. The application process was well explained to me and the process considered all my feelings along the way and in that sense, I was at in extremely comfortable state of mind with each and every member of the ** Team.LoanDepot

Honestly, since I was in more communication with **** ***** , he made loanDepot look amazing out of this world, everything I said was important to him , his response to emails and phone calls was always the same day I felt like this guy was my personal assistant. I got my part done. He got his part done. I have never had customer service like this before he is unmatched any family, friends or acquaintances I know Will be referred to **** Loandepot employees represent loanDepot and this guy is a star. I hope his boss sees this message.And if youre considering loan depot and youre reading this message request **** *****. He is how customer service should be?????????? ??????LoanDepot

I had a very pleasant home buying experience with both **** and ***** *****. They were both very professional and knowledgeable. **** worked very hard to get the best inter3st rate possible even though other mortgage companies were trying to undercut him, I appreciated their hard work and due diligence in getting me the best mortgage possible.LoanDepot
