Do not waste your time. They got me approved for their down payment assistance program but did not inform me until closing that the assistance program was a down payment loan. I did not find out until closing and then had to come up with almost 15K to close. That was 5K more than I was originally told. Now a month and a half later when my loans are due, I cannot pay on my down payment loan because they aren't sure who they sent the loan to. The company listed on my closing documents has no record of my loan or me. They failed to request the foundation inspection in time and I was told they would cover this cost as it was their error. I'm still getting collection emails for this as they have not paid the company for their work. I was informed today that the upper management at Loan Depot did not approve that expense so they would not be paying it. The down payment loan and the foundation invoice are all in my name and it now looks like I don't pay my bills. I do not recommend!!!

This loan was definitely challenging, troublesome, and time consuming. Poor communication caused delays in the loan process. I addressed my concerns and was informed the underwriter was still looking into it, but we shouldn't say anything because it could take longer. Your loan time may depend on if you have a underwriter that works and is not put on a pedestal. Lastly, my creditors were not directly paid at closing, and I received their checks the next day after 5 pm. The agreement I made was that they would be paid the day I closed. Since I missed the date, all the fees and late charges are no longer waved. I am a disabled veteran and can't always make ends meet so I have refinanced my house about 5 times, after every hospital visit. This loan was the hardest. I will admit it took me 2 weeks to give them proof I wasn't responsible for a car. Yet I was told not to worry about that. A week later ****** called me to inform me I needed to get this done. ( If not for ****** I would have canceled.) If you decide to do business here I strongly urge you to ask for ******. You would still have to deal with underwriters working at the pace they choose. Next time I will use ******* funding. In 2018 they give me a 1.99%. This was my 1st 2nd mortgage on this house.LoanDepot
