I currently manage a property for an owner. I mail out the Mortgage payment between the 1st and 5th of every month. I have other mortgage payments I mail for other properties. They are sent to the same city and state. All payments are received before the 15th with no late fees added. Loan Depot does not collect the payments daily. They are held in a drop box. This is the only account I manage where late fees are added. If investigated they *** find this is a done with the intent to charge late fees. I called Loan Depot today regarding the added late fee and was told since there was a holiday on the 4th that *** have delayed the receipt of payment. That was still 9 mailing days and the payment was not logged in until the 13th mailing day, Which is 15 days in total.LoanDepot

Terrible! I have been trying to pay off a less than $15,000.00 debt that my deceased husband was the guarantor for on our home. After multiple times of sending in the appropriate documents, deed (my name is on the deed), his death certificate, our marriage certificate, passports and other requested documents, I have been all but fighting with these people to get this debt paid off. I was told that I am not an authorized user, but I was able to make changes on the online account. I have never been put through so much turmoil to try and pay off a debt of less than $15,000.00. They are requesting that I change the deed to my name only and my name is already ON the deed and are disputing the advice of the Register of deeds in ******************. This process has been so frustrating that my health is beginning to have issues, solely because of the "process". The stress is ridiculous. Email after email for multiple weeks, (which I have copies of) and I am unable to solve this. I simply want to write a check to pay this off. I should have done so before my husband lost his short battle with cancer, eight weeks and six days from his diagnosis. The stress of this is over the top. I am being told it is being reviewed by additional legal teams-WHY????? I have done everything that has been asked, it has been a futile attempt. I have tried to do everything and comply as asked-how dare they tell you their team is there to help you and understand your situation. In NO WAY do they understand-the anger I have-I have lost my partner of 27 years and they are putting me through this for less than $15,000.00. I am trying to do the "right" thing and all that I am getting is the run around-shame on you for doing this to me and other widows!!! You are taking away precious grieving time that I NEED now!!! How dare you do this to people, we have never missed a payment and our account is in excellent standing, as is our credit rating. You will not disrespect my husband's memory and legacy!LoanDepot

They were great until they weren't! Our loan officer was nice and so helpful. We loved him! We were given a lot of helpful info and big promises. But within a few weeks, our loan was sold to a nightmare mortgage company with horrible ratings without us being noticed by anything other than a letter in the mail that we did not get. The company they sold us to has horrendous reviews (no wonder they only get clients from places like Loan Depot selling them to them!) and does not pick up the phone. We were given no clear information about how to make payments or what was going on. Again, WE DID NOT EVEN MAKE OUR FIRST MORTGAGE PAYMENT before we were sold. Our loan was sold before we even made one payment, which I was also told would not happen. I would not recommend working with Loan Depot because they'll probably just sell your loan to someone s***** and give you barely any information, too. I've been on hold with my "new" lender for almost half an hour and I get no point person and can't even make an account to make a payment even though it is due soon. I WANTED Loan Depot as my lender, so imagine my surprise when, within just two weeks of owning a home, I was given a nightmare lender instead, with barely any communication or clarity. I understand this is a risk with many lenders, but this was really next level.LoanDepot

Loan Depot helped me out in a very difficult time making sure that they could help me go through the process they are like a good friend and patient, and communication is the key to walking me through the whole process. to make sure I was happy and content. I think they are the best in their field of mortgages I recommend them for home mortgages thank you Loan Depot.!!LoanDepot
