They promise a quick and easy loan process which is not true. We closed 3 months later and when they tell you your pre approved it is not true. They have several different team members each one belongs to a different department and doesnt know what the other is doing. This was for a second home and I can tell you I would not recommend them to anyone!

Incompetent. I believe data breaches are being factored into the cost of doing business for people like this. Every single company that's handled my mortgage for the last 5 years, has had a data breach.LoanDepot

************ pulled a bait and switch on me. I had a lower offer from Rocket Mortgage and ***** said he would match it no problem, they would just have to put in for the exception. He assured me he "had my back", and they can match anything. 4-5 days later he sends me the new estimate and it isn't even half the credit the other lender offered. His remarks were completely passive and glossed over and he was simply banking on me proceeding with the worse offer by leveraging the closing on the house I had intended to purchase. It is entirely a scummy process and it's amazing people are willing to put their customers in a worse financial spot to make a commission.LoanDepot

I got my letter today 3/29/24 and contacted this company that I have never done business with ever, I was told they got my info from a third party vendor and I would have to go to the Experian Fraud website and enroll in their 24 mos. program because there is nothing he could do for me. This gentleman changed his name twice on me while I was speaking to him. So unprofessional.No wonder it is going downhill!LoanDepot

Received a letter in the mail today informing me of a data breach involving my personal information. I HAVE NEVER CONDUCTED BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Attempted to file a complaint with the BBB but one of the requirements was a consent to collect and store my personal informationwhy would I do such a thing when that is the very basis of my complaint?Clearly a scam aimed at tricking people into enrolling in free ******** services they will later be charged for.LoanDepot

I just received a letter from loanDepot stating that "We are writing you to inform you of a data security issue in which your sensitive personal information may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party".... "The issue may have impacted your name, address, email address, financial account numbers, social security number, phone number and date of birth"I do not have (or have ever had) an account with **********************. This is outrageous! These companies should forced to pay compensation rather than offer a "free" monitoring program.LoanDepot
