DATA BREACH WITH NO ANSWERS???? Why did it take this long to get notified about a breach in January that they say they've investigated? I've been on the phone for hours to a number not even associated with them it's the credit bureau. So they're offering free enrollment in Experian Identity Works for 2 years yet they're not available? I just had fraud last week but not concerned? It came from a debit card and could be result of this. I was told they're not done with the investigation but the letter states otherwise. So if you have questions they refer you to a number that is actually the credit bureau? When somebody has experienced fraud and especially of this magnitude you have no idea what it takes to go through all of this. I spent all last week changing my bank account, my passwords AGAIN!!! I wasn't even aware of this at the time. I am so angry that they can have this big of a data breach and walk away with a simple letter that comes months later. Let them go through the nightmare of identity theft in any way. It's a pain to get all your accounts transferred over and make sure you don't mess up your own credit yet somebody else is out there spending your money. It doesn't matter the amount, it's that they got to it and they spent it. Once your bank or credit union pays it back nobody will do anything about it so somebody just spends your money and gets declined eventually and yet they keep trying? Of course why not?Because they get away with it!!! There's no identity theft if you can't identify who did it. I had a loan application sent to my email that was denied but the information in there was all my ex-boyfriends. Even with that there was still no proof because he did something on another site -third party. There are tons of soft inquiries which I know don't affect your credit score but places I've never tried to get credit-promotional inquiries. NOW this company that handles mortgages which I never used yet has data breach nobody's answering for it?

These people are terrible and unethical. I never got a loan from them. Someone illegally tried to apply for a mortgage in 2020 via Lending Tree. Lending Tree shared my info with loan Depot. loan Depot had a data breach (which sucks) and they refuse to delete my personal information. They claim the federal government requires them to keep the information for 7 years, which is a lie after I looked up the legislation. When I confronted them on the legislation, they then told me it was company policy. Then they told me it was not their database and it was a shared database with Lending Tree - but they still won't delete my information. I never asked Lending Tree or loan Depot for my business.These companies do NOT care about your personal information. They will store it for as long as they want and they don't care if your information is compromised in a data breach.LoanDepot

On 1 December 2023, I began my process of refinancing to renovate my home and I was PRE-APPROVED in December 2023. From that time to CURRENT, I have submitted all the documentation (2 years of taxes and proof of income) that was requested to only be denied the loan. I feel like Loan Depot strung me along throughout the entire process, knowing they would not approve me, but made a quick $520 (appraisal and non-refundable application fee) which may seem like a small amount of money, but if my math is correct, Loan Depot has the potential of making almost $2 million a week from appraisal and application fees alone.LoanDepot

It took too long to get through everything and finally get funded. Loan Depot took a major chunk out of our loan proceeds! The entire process was frustrating and made me feel I was doing the wrong thing by closing with them! I will jump on the class action bandwagon when it shows up!LoanDepot

I applied for a loan over 10 years ago with Loan Depot. I decided to go with a different lender. I recently received a letter stating they experienced a data breach and my information may have been compromised, including my social security number. Keeping my records that long is illegal. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LOAN DEPOT! They have several class action lawsuits filed against them for their business practices and now are involved with another one because of the data breach. Join the class action lawsuit here ********************************************************************************************************************** if you are also a victim of this terrible company.LoanDepot

We have dealt will other lenders in the past. But by comparison LoanDepot is ahead of the pack. Some companies are leaders and the others follow the pack.(end)LoanDepot

I have a VA mortgage through loanDepot and their mortgage servicing department is engaged in predatory lending practices. Let me explain. When I first closed on my loan it was serviced by loanDepot out of their ** office. When it was serviced out of **, I used Navy Federal Credit Unions (NFCU) bill pay service to schedule 12 months of payments in advance. These payments were made via an ACH transfer and there were no problems. Then loanDepot decided to move the servicing of my loan to their ***** office. However, they stopped accepting ACH transfers when they changed the servicing location. This was a stupid decision on the part of loanDepot. What they want is for the consumer to allow them to go directly int your checking account and make withdrawals. Never!Now the nightmare begins. Checks are sent to a PO Box in *******, not *****! I still use the bill pay service and schedule my payments a year in advance. Postdated checks are sent via US Mail two weeks prior to the date I select for payment to be received. The checks arrive in plenty of time but loanDepot takes 10 days to process checks. In my opinion loanDepot is intentionally doing this in order to generate income from late fees. It was during a recent and frustrating phone call with loanDepots customer dis-service department that I learned about the 10 day processing time. Even the *** isnt this heartless and uses the postmark on the envelope as the date you paid your taxes.Due to loanDepots predatory practice I have filed a complaint with my **************************** that regulates banks as well as the VA ****** of ********* General. I would encourage everyone that has had this issue with loanDepot to do the same. Who knows, theres probably a class action lawsuit in the making here.LoanDepot
