I am in the process of inquiring with my ************ about my Home Equity options, and despite me never having heard of or interacted with him in any way before, ******************************* from E Mortgage Capital sent me a quote with a message with the wording "Hi ****, I've put together a quote based on today's pricing based on the information provided[...]", and gave me two options of rates and aske me which one I want.This is EXPLICITLY and OVERTLY worded to PREY on people who may not have noticed it is from someone they have NOT interacted with "today" and have NOT explicitly "provided" information to.Those two words, "today" and "provided", are intentionally selected by E Mortgage Capital and ***************************** to TRICK people in to engaging with them. Additionally, them giving two options and asking the recipient to choose one with follow-up texts builds a sense of urgency to further trick people.All classic phone and internet scam techniques.This is a shameful and deceitful way to get people's attention and money, and it needs to stop.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, this solicitation was part of a campaign of leads purchased from a credit bureau of consumers who are shopping for a mortgage. The advertising agency that put this together did not run this by compliance per our company policy and will be ended immediately.Initial Complaint

This company somehow got my information and has various people and numbers contacting me by calling multiple times a day and texting me. They are running my credit information and won't stop. I have not been able to block them from contacting me.Business Response

I have added ********************** number to our internal do not call list. I can assure her that we have not run her credit report. Most likely trans union has sold her number as someone interested in a home loan and there are probably 20 different companies that are calling her. Additionally, I have no way of knowing if it even our company that is calling as there a several companies with a similar name to ours. The company still contacted me after what I asked for was to stop contacting me. He said he didn't even know if it was his company calling and texting me from different numbers, after I told them to stop. Where did I get their info then lol! This company won't stop calling me. I have requested to add me to their do not call list. I get 3 to 4 phone calls every day for the last 5 months or more. I like them to stop calling my phone number! I do not need their services. I'm being harassed with daily phone calls please stop.Business Response

I have already opted out and the calls will not stop to date. I have spoken to someone at your firm and was told this would stop but it hasn't I continue to get calls everyday from an automated call system. This is an internal problem that you guys are unable to stop your automated system from calling me. If I call back the number I get called from it hangs up so I can't talk to the person and request to stop. It has been confirmed that the agents that call me everyday and leaves voice mails work at your firm. They are on your website here is a link to their profiles on your site! Your calls come from this number ************ please look into it and figure out how to stop the phone calls. It is harassment and I'm tired of it. I have tons of voice mails clearly stating the names below and "from e Mortgage Capital" All I'm asking is to stop the phone calls why is that so hard to do? I can change my phone number but why would I do that? I will continue to leave reviews about my true personal experience unless you stop 100% I'm also looking into filing a formal complaint with the **** and the attorney general. I don't want to do this but you guys are forcing me to. I need a solution! You said you don't have my information so here it is *************************** you keep calling this my number which is ************ please don't call this is for your information only! Any solutions I want them here with the BBB.

I never contacted these people but they will not stop calling my phone from numerous numbers even though I have ask them to stop calling me. They leave me at least 10 voicemails a day.. I have had enough..Just want them to stop please...This has been going on since April 2023.Business Response

Please understand that there is more than one company that uses E Mortgage in their name and also the credit bureau's sell phone numbers for potential mortgages to numerous mortgage companies so many of these calls may be coming from many different mortgage companies. Continually calling from multiple numbers and sending texts all within a few hours. Not sure why they are so relentless or why they are calling me to begin with. Cant block the #s because then they just call from another one.Business Response
