      On Saturday, 8/3, my kitchen sink was stopped up and the water wouldnt properly drain. I reached out to Roto Rooter. They sent a tech who used a commercial snake to fix the drain. The snaking noisy and the vibrations shook the walls. However, the water appeared to be draining properly. The next day, the water from my kitchen sink was draining downstairs into the kitchen of my landlord. I immediately contacted RR and explained the situation. The *** I spoke with asked to speak with the landlord because of liability issues. I gave my landlords grandson the phone and he gave permission for them to come. A tech was sent out who sort of acknowledged that it was their fault, but that he couldnt really do anything as it wasnt at his level. Of note, he did say that because of their hold harmless clause they couldnt be held liable. My husband explained that was only if there had been pre-existing damage and they caused new damage. *** *., a specialist, arrived a few hours later but was unable to do ***air because of asbestos concerns. I asked *** for his card and the name of the original techs supervisor, who he said was *** ** I called the office number but it gave no clear extension for **** I ended up calling their dispatch twice to connect us to him. On Thursday, 8/8, *** emailed me that he was going to send a plumber to the location the next day and that due to the buildings age they had to test the dry wall before opening due to the asbestos, and that the plumber would go over the ***air. In the meantime, I couldnt use my sink. It was pretty inconvenient. The plumber came out on the 9th and quoted my landlord for the ***air. Plumbing was ***aired but not by RR. I contacted *** twice to ask for a refund. No response to this date. Photos show the tech broke through a corner piece of a pipe, twice apparently, which led to the issues. It didnt seem that the tech had much experience with using the snake.

      We called Roto-Rooter yesterday and they come over and unclog the kitchen sink in the unit 904, the residents are calling because still clogged and backing up, I called they said they will send a technician, it was 7:50pm I waited for almost 3 hours they call me and said the technician is heating your way, he will call you when he gets there, thank they called at 10:49pm to tell me that the technician is not gonna make it today until tomorrow while the apartment is getting flooded with that smelly water

      - The company engaged in predatory practices by damaging my plumbing and then charging me to fix the damages which constitutes a breach of contract. I had to hire a separate plumbing company to fix the issues they caused. - Secondary plumbing companies let me know that Roto-Rooter in fact damaged my pipes rather than fixing them.- They're work caused flooding to my bathroom for which they made no offer to recompense. - Their plumber at the site illegally charged me personally and off the books which is essentially tax evasion and said he does this all the time.I have documentation and proof of all of the above. I also am taking the company to small claims

      I am writing to express my disappointment with the services provided by rotor rooter. When I first called for a quote, I was told that the price would be significantly cheaper than the $13,329 that we ended up paying with credit cards. This has caused a significant financial hardship on my family. We were forced to pay the full amount due to rotor rooter's threat to put a lien on our house and take us to court. This experience has put a strain on my family and I believe we deserve to be reimbursed at least half of the payment since we were misled about the cost. I request that rotor rooter takes responsibility for their actions and provides us with the appropriate reimbursement.

      I had my mitigation completed on 6/28. Paid the balance I had to pay which was *****. I have been calling and texting for over a month now trying to get a break down of everything that was done and charged so I can send it to my insurance company. I have still yet to receive this. The correspondence is horrible. When I first called the office and asked for it they said it will take two weeks. Its actually going on 5! Im not understanding how hard it is to say everything that was done? I feel like its because I was overcharged. But it definitely wasnt ***** worth of work completed! The workers that came to my home were great. Everything else a complete zero! Me and my husband are truly disappointed!

      I know for a fact that Roto Rooter RotoCoLLc is terrible from the inside out. They don't care about their employees or customers. They send inexperienced plumbers to do jobs they don't know how to do. They charge 3 times the amount of the going rate. They lie about coupons they will honor. They really are charging 3 times the mark up. The Corporate comp[any that bought out *** is terrible and have the corporate office and all branches have these shady branch managers that don't even know anything about plumbing. They will manipulate you into something you don't need always to try and make a sale. BEWARE

      07/24/24 We already bought a Seal with ring but could not get it to stay on the toilet.Tech came quoted $450 took our credit card info and left for almost 2 hours. I called to cancel service but he was already just getting back to our house as I was on my way home from work. It took Him 15 minutes to do and used our bolts and only purchased a $20 wax ring.Charged us $450 and said he would take $100 off since we had a coupon.He did not, after looking at receipt. I called that evening and the next day, finally spoke to a manager named *********, ID # ****. She was very rude to me on the phone argued that the job is usually $ 550 even though I tried to tell her we were only quoted $ 450 and the $100 was not removed. This is some shady stuff going on. He used our Bolts that I just purchased when I bought it off Amazon. I want a $100 credit as promised with coupon. and they need to rethink the manager status of how they allow them to speak to the customers this way. After I told her she was being recorded she got very quiet.

      We had rain water come into basement in April after the heavy rain we had, I discovered water in our basement so called ****************** they advised us to call Rooter Roter, I was told they would be out the next day but the inspector or whatever he his position appeared at 10:30 that night, the next day they sent their plumber after $385.00 later he claimed we had to dig up the concrete floor, the next day the water was gone. The mitigation team came out and did things that they never asked our permission, *** had several contractors come in and told us that what they did was totally unnecessary, they destroyed our finished basement, the invoice they sent had things listed they claimed they did was all lies. The insurance company told them that they sent us money that they didnt now Rooter Roter is threatening me with putting liens on our home and numerous other complaints. Im filing a complaint with the Delaware ************************ also. I am also looking into getting an attorney but I just had knee replacement surgery so money is tight, we were planning on selling our home but now on hold due to this issue.

      Called our local ********************************** on 6/18/24 to unclog the main sewer line in our house. The tech came out and snaked the line ***** feet to the street and said he could not find the stoppage. He had a supervisor come our with a camera. The supervisor snaked the camera into the pipe and then said he couldn't get the camera past about 6 feet through the sewer pipe. I asked him why the snake could go into the pipe ***** feet but the camera could not. The tech made up the excuse that the camera line was bigger than the snake line, which was not true. We were then told in order to have them clear the line, we would have to pay $1800 for a water blaster, which could flood our basement or break the sewer line or we could pay $8600 to have them dig the area outside where the camera stopped to fix the obstruction and make some kind of access. We told them we would see what our plumber thought.Our plumber referred us to someone who cleared the line in about 2 hours and charged us $367, after we paid Roto Rooter $479.81 for trying to sell us something we did not need.They also did not honor the $100 discount coupon which I had. They are definitely a scam, and it's not worth the hassle of suing them. And I think they know this.

      I had a plumber come out to look at a pump issue in my apartment complex. On the phone the receptionist made no mention of a service charge for a quote. Once the guys arrived, they let me know that there would be a service fee just for them showing up. Rather than assessing the job, and telling me how much it would cost they pressured me into signing right then and there to get the work done on the spot. (assuming they are trying to prevent people from shopping around and realizing how much more they are charging than others) Me being an idiot, signed the document thinking it would be like $100 or something, and then he hits me with a surprise $400 charge just for the inspection. Granted, that would go away if we hire them for the job, but now if I choose to go with a different plumber with a lower quote I'm out an extra 400. I had the plumber call his manager and the answer was essentially "you learned a ****** today tough luck" I realize I made a mistake here by signing, but these guys are clearly out to take as much money from their customers as possible and WILL manipulate you to sign for things before you should and WILL obfuscate hidden charges until after you've signed.
