My husband and I recently moved, while apartment hunting, we saw the *************************** was having a special. Money was tight and didn't have jobs yet, so we secured a guarantor and called to ask if that would be acceptable. I called and asked 4+ times, and received the same answer, yes but we would have to be rejected before we could add the guarantor. On the last call I also asked if the $150 admin fee for the application was refundable, to which I was told it was.Further along in the process and I read we have to be between a certain percentage of income to add a guarantor, so I call back for clarification and am given the same answer as before, that it just needed to be rejected to get the opportunity to add a guarantor. I also clarified that if rejected we would get the $150 admin fee back, I am again told yes.We get contacted later that, despite me asking several times, we would have to upload income documents in order to get the rejection and add a guarantor. I am later told that even then it wouldn't be accepted. I ask them to cancel my application and refund the money, she says okay and we end the call. My husband asks me to call back to verify we'll be refunded, I call within minutes and ask them not to cancel my application but reject and refund. They agree, I get my money back and an email.I open my account a few days later to see the money is back out of account. I call back and ask what is going on. I get several different answers as I explain the situation and after she tells me it isn't refundable at all, she says it's only refundable with a rejection. I go back to the email and see that they archived it instead, I still don't know why they would do that, as the application wasn't even a week old at that point and we had done everything on our side to the best of our knowledge, to just get the rejection, get the money we were told was refundable back, and part ways.Initial Complaint

Due to 4 hour closure of the leasing office and issues with proper mail delivery my bank card used to pay my rent arrived the 4th. I was able to get that late fee removed. Being charged unexplained NSF fees and late fees (prior to credit) caused my account to not be paid in full. Partial payment was not allowed per three utility bills applied to one month rent. Reasonable accommodations of two late fee credited back to my account will allow me to get out of the late fee cycle. My only income is disability. The business practices are financially exploitive of those on fixed income. This is a reasonable request for accommodation. The reason for my bank card being reissued is due to identify left of my social security benefits for the month where the late fee has already been credited back to my account. I have experienced mail tampering and fraud from your company. This is not student housing. The company is currently in Breach of lease terms. I have a hud complaint escalated to ************* with open statute of limitations. This is a reasonable request. I am an American with a hidden physical disability, that impacts my vision and hearing, seeking reasonable accommodations in the proper venue. I am an American with a hidden physical disability seeking remedy from stonewalling, gaslighting, and fake participation in the proper venue. Based on a preponderance of the evidence, I am an American with a hidden physical disability [benign brain tumor] seeking remedy (from the ramifications of) social, economic, and financial disadvantage - in the proper venue. I have been very patient concerning the former manger removed. I am an American with a hidden physical disability seeking remedy from the undignified treatment of a person coping with a disability in the proper venue.I am an American with a hidden physical disability seeking remedy from retaliation; conspiracy to commit retaliation; retaliation for reporting to **** BBB in the proper venue.Initial Complaint

My son moved into this apartment complex on August 18th. His room and apartment assignment were changed 2 days before he moved. We went to the office and were told the apartment was clean but that the carpet was due to be changed and the tubs and sinks resurfaced and should be fixed before the following week was up and that they thought the furniture was to be replaced. We went to his apartment and found junk everywhere. There were about 100 liquor bottles on top of the kitchen cabinets, a Publix shopping cart on the balcony, the ** was dripping in the utility closet with a wet floor and mold all over the door and door frame. Dusty mold was on the living room fan, the fridge isnt cooling and was filthy and had food in it, the microwave is filthy and has a broken handle and is unusable, the door handle to the balcony is broken, the dryer was full of lint and the door to it was off, there were burn marks on the kitchen counters, food left in other places, the ** filter was horribly black, among other dirty walls and floors etc, They won't even sit on the couch. ************ called in a housekeeper and she pulled 24 yes 24 bags of bottles and junk from the apartment. The ac line was cleared and the nasty ac filter was changed . We spent 2 days spending money and time on cleaning everything we could. So now my main issues are we have lived up to our end of the bargain by paying on time and treating the property with respect, and getting renters insurance that is required. But my son was supposed to have a place furnished and with working appliances. Although they never replaced the carpet, or refinished the sink or tub, or fixed the patio door handle, or anything; but what needs done now is the fridge and microwave need replaced. We shouldn't have to pay a full *** without those promised things at least. We get told it's being ordered, but living without basic appliances among the other issues is not acceptable. My son is having lots of trouble with his sinuses. Help plInitial Complaint

I live in Arrive ********, which is managed by Trinity Property Consultants. My apartment has flooded with sewage water multiple times with all the plumbing backing up with sewage. Each time it takes longer to for them to take action. Each time they have refused to compensate me in any way. What am I supposed to do in that situation? I am paying for a service Im not receiving if I cant stay in the apartment I pay rent for. But any time the idea of compensation is brought up, they basically tell me to go kick rocks, meanwhile my apartment is literally unlivable. I literally cannot enter without wading through sewage. Ive spoken with the units previous tenant, and he had the same problem during his time here. I understand the current management firm wasnt in the picture back then, but it shows how long this issue has gone unresolved. The smell of raw sewage makes my apartment uninhabitable and unsanitary.Initial Complaint

Trinity Property Management,My concerns are the filthiness on move in day, my daughter calling in 2 days talking about pot smoking in the communal area.Next, she came home with no tenants at home, but 2 grown men smoking pot in the tenants area.We were told we were getting a town home, but it must be called TBD, anyway we did not get it. I came down in less than a week and the property manager wasnt in, but I noticed the tenants didnt care mom and dad were there they were rolling in front of us, smoking in the common areas in front of us and as I voiced these concerns in a low tone, the property manager told me she isnt going to be a baby sitter, everyone smokes pot and she dont care. Then she offered to call the police, but when that didnt work, she attempted to get the whole office staff to throw me out. If you do not dissolve this fraudulent lease by Friday the 8th.The asbestos samples from popcorn ceilings, mold from bathtub, water sample will be brought to the health department, and the sheriff or state whoever cares more will be brought to not only this apartment, but Ill make it my mission to find all the apartments that smell like smoke. This is a nonsmoking, no drugs, student housing facility. My daughter was living with multiple people who werent near her age smoking pot constantly in the apartment. She is shy and was intimidated, scared to stay there alone. She had me come get her in under a week and I noticed this myself. The apartment was also uninhabitable. Pictures attached Most of these sources below that say Student Housing, most pull their information from your website, ********* Instagram, or ****** Maps listing and they all state student housing. Where you got us is telling us we have one unit available and someone else is also doing an app right now.Initial Complaint

I arrived to ******************** to tour their apartments on 8/8/23, as I was going to be relocating from ******** to ******** for a new job. ***** showed me a unit that was move in ready and assured me that I would be leasing a similar unit or better. On 8/25/23, I arrived to ReNew's leasing office to get the key for *************************************************************************************. The time was approximately 4:30pm - 5pm in the leasing office. They sent me to the kiosk to setup my internet with no success; I was there until 5:50pm. I get to the unit by 6pm and it was nowhere near move in ready. The flooring threshold was broken, the air vent was broken and dirty, the microwave handle was broken, the door chain lock was not secure and was painted over poorly, the water pressure was very weak, multiple stains on the countertops. No one from the leasing office was available to assist me, as they close at 6pm. The leasing agents did not stick around to make sure everything was ok. I had issues breathing while inspecting the unit and I have asthma. I was unable to stay in this unit due to safety and health issues so I had to stay in a hotel. On 8/26/23, I returned to the leasing office to advise of the issues/concerns and ***************************** was very passive, as she advised the air vent can be fixed only. At that point, I advised that I will not be moving in and wanted a refund & cancel lease. She advised no refund & that the property manager would be in next week. I left the key with ******** and requested the property manager's contact info. I emailed the property manager (***********************) on 8/27/23 to advise same issues with unit and request refund & cancel lease. *********************** responded on 8/28/23 to advise that some of the items could be repaired. This unit is not what was advertised and I do not feel safe nor do I feel that my asthma will not suffer.Initial Complaint

I was supposed to move into the apartment on August 18th 2023, was told it was move in ready. Got there at 2pm when check in started for my building and was told the keys weren't ready yet but they would be ready soon. I went back to the office every hour and was told the keys will be ready soon. At 6pm I had to go to work and they told me my keys would be ready when I got there the next morning (August 19th 2023) at 10am when the office opened. I was first in line to get keys and was told they weren't ready so I waited an hour for keys and those didn't work. I waited another hour and a half to get keys that did work. When I opened the door there was spray paint on the carpet, the kitchen was disgusting. And when I got to my room, which was supposed to be unfurnished, there was furniture in the bedroom, the carpet had dirt and hair all over and the bathroom was disgusting. Also the buildings next to my building had roofing and siding hanging off. When I went to the office to talk to the manager she said they could take the furniture out but it would be a few hours, but they couldn't clean the room. So I said I wanted a refund and to terminate my lease and she told me to contact upper management via email, then she took the keys from me. I emailed that day (August 19th 2023) and it is August 28th today and I haven't heard a single thing from management. The staff there were also very rude and at one point I started crying because I was so overwhelmed and the guy I was talking with rolled his eyes at me and kept making excuses like "we are busy" "we didn't expect this" "this was not in our control".Initial Complaint

I have a sublease in church I was told the person was moving in on 7/1 now all of a sudden after the lease was signed they are not coming until 8/1. I have never received any form of communication from any one email or call in regards to a change or even an update on the process. I have sent my keys back and havent even received confirmation in which they were received. I should not be responsible for the rent for this month just because the new ***** changed their mind after the lease was already signed. I have subsequently still been charged for rent another month and the new ***** had officially moved into the new unit. I still have not received communication from the site despite several attempts to contact them.
