I placed a mobile order and when I arrived 5 minutes after I had placed the order they were closed and had been for over an hour. Their online ordering was open till 12 midnight, the business information said it was open until 12 midnight but they closed at 10. When I tried to explain that to the employee still there they refused to issue a refund. Multiple calls to the store and emails to corporate have given any result aside from an insulting $10 coupon. They stole $51.31 from me and I'm demanding it back.Business Response

Went into del taco to eat with my grandson upon ordering I utilized my mobile app for rewards and check in scan fir points from biding after I ordered I showed the cashier my reward scan ti scan the cashier scanned it to start I had 500 plus points the item I was getting was ********************************************************************************** it only reduced my points not total amount of my order I explained that to the cashier he insisted that the reward app didnt take points so I was trying to show him my phone he went into defense of being right and woukd T allow me to show him my phone stating item was redeemed I asked for manager and was told no manger was here and basically the cashier stated I am now refusing to serve u and calling the police so I called thinking the law coukd help with this the police came in talked to the cashier and got my voided receipt of the purchase I was trying to make but was told the cashier really didnt know what happen ****************** so with my receipt the officers got the cashiers name and managers imfo and told me the manager should be in in the morning I was denied service and police called on why trying to proof the cashiers human mistake it happens but I was unfairly treated and I have made a complaint to del taco online and will go see manager to report this cashier which I doubt Ill get response to by the wat no one stepped up to satisfy the customer I was t rude or loud its all on the store video thank youBusiness Response

I visited H3235393938383**63832H on on 11/17 (order #**) and I was not satisfied with my meal. To start, it was not hot and fresh and did not meet basic customer standards. Prior to making this purchase, I was under the impression that there was a customer satisfaction guarantee. Had I known that guarantee would not be valid, I would not have made this purchase. The manager in charge was disrespectful, confrontational, unprofessional, and not open to constructive criticism on how she could better run her shift. Besides, as a customer, how else am I supposed to report a service failure and request a replacement or refund. Due to the conduct of the manager in charge, I am not requesting a refund and there is no need to worry. I will never return as a customer again!Customer Answer

I ordered on the app for Del Taco on October 13, 2023. When I went to pick up the order, I was told they were out of many items such as hamburger patties, fish for the fish sandwich. That was pretty much three quarters of my order. So we told the person, then I want to cancel my order. So he told us that we have to go to the app and cancel it there. So I went back in the app and cancelled the order. Few days later I see that the full charge was on my bank statement posted on October 16, 2023. I called the phone number on the statement for Del Taco, and it was the phone number for the owner of the Franchise. She told us that she just purchased the store and does not know what do do. She will find out and call me back. She never did. I then filed a report with the Del Taco corporate. I received an e-mail telling me the following " Thank you for contacting Del Taco about your Online Delivery Order. We reviewed your request and made a refund adjustment for your issue. If you have any additional questions, please contact us at ******************************************** or call us at **************.So I called the number and asked what does the refund adjustment means, they could not answer and told me that the report does not have any amount. So we called the owner again today, and she said, that " I spoke to my team and they told me that they already talked to me and would not give me any information. That was a lie since no one in the store would talk to us and kept telling us to talk to the "app people". I lost $77.15 and cannot get my money and never received any food for this. This is BS as I am a retired person living on limited income and this is what they are doing to a senior citizen. I just want my money since they never gave me the food.Business Response

**** never replied to me and I waited for a refund they never gave me my refund the owner of that particular Del Taco was the rudest person ever as well as everyone that worked in that Del taco. I ended up filing a claim with my own bank and my own bank is the one that gave me the refund because they never heard back from the business either.

I am a regular customer at ******************** in ***** today at about 3:00 PM I went to get my order and there was an employee who I had encountered before to be very rude and did not get the order again this is the third time I was standing in line got my order realize that he messed up the order complained about it and he ignored me he handled the next person in line and I got upset so I left his name is *** He is a ***** black man who is working at the counter and sometimes at the drive through this person has a problem with customer service and he has been very rude to other customers Im finally complaint I dont recommend that he stays at this establishment because we really do like Del taco please fix this issueCustomer Answer

They have a promotion on their website to receive 4 free small value meal coupons when you buy $100 in gift cards. Although there are no Del Taco locations in driving distance of my residence, I bought $100 gift card since I go when I travel to locations that have Del Taco. I knew I would be in ********* in early December and would use the value meal coupons there since they expire on 3/5/23.I went to the Del Taco location at ********************************************************************* and they were very rude and refused to accept the free value meal coupon. I know that it does say participating locations, but the Del Taco website should list what locations will accept it so that a customer can make an informed decision on whether to purchase the gift card or not.It's very deceptive to sell these gift cards with the promise of free value meal coupons when their restaurants won't accept them. If a customer lives in an area with many *******************************************, they might be able to find a location that accepts them. However, as I stated, I don't live nearby any Del Taco locations so I don't have that luxury.I'm now stuck with these free value meal coupons that potentially can't be used and I feel that is deceptive advertising.When I contacted Del Taco, they sent me a $10 coupon which expires 1/23/23. Again, that does me no good because I don't live near any Del Taco locations and won't be able to use that before 1/23 either.Business Response

12/14/22 **** E Mountain View Del taco I witnessed Manager ********** hold up a long line at drive thru on several occasions to argue with customers. She was rude to her employees and it is unacceptable. Today I was bothered by how she made a huge deal over a complimentary cup of ice. I saw a customer order just a complimentary cup of ice and it rang up as free water and also showed the same on screen but when the employee was about to hand the young lady her clear cup of ice, ********** rudely confronted her employee and told the women the ice is not free but the women showed proof that she is a long term customer who buys food all of the time and sometimes buys big cups of ice and sometimes gets the complimentary cups of ice so she knows she is being mistreated and sees other customers get a complimentary cup of ice or more and ********** was choosing to discriminate against her. ********** continued to be rude and held up the line 15 minutes over a free cup of ice. Me and my husband went to del taco on 10-4-2022 .and the location is on ****** and ******** in ******* *******. The *****************. We ordered 3 chicken tacos, 3 regular tacos and 3 fish tacos and the items cost $2.49 a piece because they had a sign on the window. I went to the guy cashier he was a Mexican guy and he took our order in the dining room and in total it cost $7.21 .i went to seat down in my wheelchair by my husband and a lady ordered after us . And i wasn't seating down for 5 minutes and the food was ready in the bag and the manager was rude and didn't even call my name and i went up there too take to her and she said im sorry about that and she was rude about it and so was the guy cashier. We went home we took our food out and it wasn't even our order and i called them and the same lady was rude to me again and said that is what you ordered and if you want more tacos you would have to pay again. We are recovering from covid and we are on oxygen and im in a wheelchair and i cant go back and eithet can my husband we have breathing problems. We just want our money back and no gift card or coupons .and the tacos were cracked and not even we went there five times and over $30.00 dollars and we have only one receipt we lost the other ones because we just recently moved here because we were homeless for 25 days and lived in a motel room.
