      I rented a. Car from Fox car rental in *********. I prepaid for the car & the insurance. When I went to get car they said I did not have the insurance & tried to cha the my card for ***** when I already paid on Expedia. I never received the car because I the charge did not go through.****************

      Fox rent a car is a type of scam in my opinion. They quote a cheap price online when you reserve but when you get the car there are a lot of extra fee's. You end up paying the same or more as a name brand like *****. I reserved my car as part of a 'combo' flight/hotel/car so I can get a discount on all of it but.....very bad surprise with Fox rental car part of the combo.

      On June 1, 2023, I rented a Fox car from the ****************** Airport. The desk agent informed me that if I allow *** the fill the gas tank on my return their prices is .20 less per gallon. The car was a ****** Corolla. I used a half tank. They charged me $81 dollars. I prepaid the car in advance. So when dropping off the car I did not have questions There were hidden fees in this contract that the agent neglected to mention regarding what they charge for someone putting gas in the tank. An absolute rip off. Never again. FILL THE **** BEFORE RETURN.

      Terrible reserved a minivan, got there and was told they had no vehicles, for me to return next business day and they still could not guarantee a vehicle. I was leaving the next day on a 5 hour trip. That was the reason I reserved the vehicle in the first place. Could not get a vehicle anywhere else due to last minute and the prices had tripled by then.

      Absolutely the worst car rental company!! One star is too much to rate them. I made a reservation online for *************** airport. When we got there they gave us a car that was dented and scratched all over! I wasnt taking a car that would have taken me and hour to photograph so I dont get charged for damages. My husband went back in and was told that another car would be an additional *****. Why?? Its not my fault you have garbage cars on your fleet. Then my husband had to get under the car to remove something that was hanging down to the floor. Are you kidding me? To top it off the car had an indicator saying pre collision system malfunction! They sent an email from the manager asking for my comments and of course I never got a response. I submitted a survey as well. All and all never again!! My credit card bill better not have any surprises!! Do not rent from Fox!!! Worst ever!!

      They quoted me a *****/ day rate for the car. When I was at the desk it was $17. I showed the clerk the image of the quoted rate, her response was you are getting the car cheap. Instead of the 59$ it was 73$. This is a s blatant bait and switch as it gets. Horrible lying company. Dont trust the rates you see on their website , they lie! This was the ******* office I dealt with.

      I wish I had read these reviews before I stupidly rented a car at the *********** in mid-May. The stated price was attractive, but the final cost was unreasonable. Foxs customer service agent recommended the fuel top off option, which he claimed was cheaper than refilling the tank myself. We paid $80.00 for maybe $20.00 worth of gasoline. He also said we would not need the tolls option, so that meant we paid $100.65 for tolls amounting to $10.65. The additional $90.00 was for Admin. Fees. Based on the number of reviews with similar complaints, I conclude that *** has no interest in changing their business practicestruly a case of caveat emptor. ****** learned.

Tolls are an option provided to anyone that wishes to add it, however, you may travel throughout ***** without using a toll road if you wish. All information on how unpaid tolls are charged is provided both on the signed rental agreement as well as the rental policies should you have any questions.       When we got into our rental car at ***, we noticed the gas gauge was well below the full ***** I mentioned it to the guy in the booth and he said not to worry, they would adjust the charges. When I got my final receipt, no allowance was made for the missing gas. Fortunately, I also took a picture of the gas gauge. Unfortunately, when I called their customer service number, they only offered me a few dollars as an adjustment for the missing gas. That saved them a bit of money over providing the gas and lost them any chance of me ever renting from them again. My suggestion is, all else being equal, you rent from someone else and, if you must rent from them, document everything, don't believe what anyone there tells you, and expect them to grab for every ***** they can.

      Dear Fox Rent A Car,From your reply, it appears that you have limited experience with automobiles. Cars in general, and the one I rented specifically, have their gas gauges register above "Full" when the tank if filled. In my case, when I filled the car before returning it, the needle went well above the Full ***** When showing 1/8 short of full, as was the case when you handed the car to me, it represents a shortage of considerably more than 1/8 of a tank and probably closer to 1/4 of a tank of gas. That is about 6 gallons of gas that was promised and not delivered. Further, as stated on your rental agreement, a gallon of gas is valued at $9. Given that, the minimum appropriate reimbursement would be $54.Finally, any business hoping to keep me as a customer would also consider something beyond that, as compensation for my efforts to help you correct your problems.

      I never write reviews, but I feel obligated to counter some of the negativity online about this company. I reserved my car at the ******* airport (trip was in early May 2023) in advance with Expedia. The price was markedly cheaper than nationally known brands. Before going on my trip, I looked at the reviews for Fox and was really worried that I had made a mistake. Everything was fine. The car itself was what I had reserved, was in perfect condition and spotless. The people at Fox were nice, especially the woman in the booth near the car pickup. There were no hidden fees, though I knew enough to refuse extra coverage and the transponder for toll roads. No issues at all. The reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is that I was not given paper work, a copy of the contract at rental or a statement that I had returned the car in same condition as when I rented it on returning. I asked the woman in the booth to write on my paper that the car was returned in same condition and sign it. She did.

      Awful! They charged my debit card for the car. When I got there they wanted a credit card which I dont have. The salesman said he cancelled the reservation and I would get a credit. I just had to call rental.com. They continued to hang up on me and said the case was closed and will not refund me. Worst customer service and sales ever.

As this was booked and paid for with Priceline, your refund must be issued by Priceline directly. Fox Rent a Car has not charged your debit card, that was done by your booking party.
