      My Worst car renting experience ever. Don't waste your time renting car there. You will loose a lot of time, nerves and money. I reserved my car rental through Expedia. I prepaid my reservation in ***** airport only to find out after standing long time in line at the counter that car is not available. I was offered to rent a different car for almost double the price. When I voiced my frustration and told them that I had a reservation that should be honored, they told me that reservation through Expedia does not mean anything for them. In the end desperate to have a car as my family was tired and waiting all that time I was ready to pay additional cost but they bluntly threw me out of the office refusing to rent anything just because I was unhappy and dared to voice my frustration.

      We are extremely dissatisfied with this company, please DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY, unless you are willing to volunteer for a complete rip-off! We booked a car for 6 days through Expedia (5/27/2023 - 06/01/2023) and attempted to cancel. *** stated that the entire charge (including charge for insurance) was non-refundable and refused to provide a refund. We understand the reason for no refund policy on the day the car is supposed to be picked up but *** refused to provide a refund for the remainder of the days when we called on time, on the days of 5/28, 5/29 and today, 5/30. They simply refused to provide a refund even though Expedia requested for a waiver of their cancellation policy several times on our behalf. We still have not picked up the car, keep calling them to provide at least a partial refund and they still refuse. What an arrogant way to make a profit on the expense of their customers. If you value your dignity as a customer, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY. Go to other reputable companies such as Enterprise or Budget where you would be treated with respect and dignity.

      When I turned in my car in *******, the agent noticed a miniscule dent on the hood that I had not noticed upon inspecting the car when I took it. The Fox agent did not participate in that inspection. So while I had the car for three days, there was nothing I observed that would have caused those dents. I parked in four places, but not any places where the car could have been hit by something. So now Fox is billing me $1746 for fixing this almost imperceptible dent in the hood. I did not take the damage waiver because I have coverage in my auto policy -- with a $500 deductible. I think the dents happened before I took the car. Will never rent from Fox again.

      Pay attention to the other reviews!I pre-paid a reservation at *************** and when i arrived was told that there was no vehicle available. The assistant told me it would be a 2-3hr wait and still not guaranteed, he took my cell # and told me he would call when something was ready. He also said he would note on my file that there was no vehicle and if i wanted to go to a different provider I would receive a full refund. I did not receive any call on my cell and I rented with *****. Now when i try to get a refund from their billing department they are telling me that prepaid rentals are non refundable and there is no record of me showing up to rent the car.Stay away from this place!

      We are from Europe, via Expedia we booked a car for our 34 day holiday in western *** and received a quote and deposit price, These funds were loaded onto our credit card in preparation for our arrival. Upon arrival we were informed that extra insurance was required and that fox did not recognize the insurance purchased through Expedia for this purpose. We did not have funds on our credit card for additional insurance (that we were not informed of in advance) we had funds on debit cards but this was not good enough. We could only rent the car for 21 days and then had to return it to LA. This ruined our touring holiday plans and we were devastated that we could not do as we had planned all because *** had not been honest about the true cost and how much extra had to be on the CC naturally we complained to Expedia who refunded our insurance paid to them that *** would not accept. *** did nothing in fact they did not charge our credit card until 2 days after we returned the car 23 days later which was strange. We drove their car for free for three weeks without charge ? In fact for a time since the money on our card was not stopped thought they might have given ** the car for free as compensation. Such was not the case full amount charged 2 days after return. This type of behavior to tourists is unfair, they arrive by plane and are at the mercy of the car rental companies and the companies know it. I thought this ****** practice had died out 20 years ago. It is not good enough that Fox should to be able to disrupt our plans so effectively for a little extra cash...compensation is needed to stop this dishonest business practice.       Buyer beware. *** has very restrictive rules of what states you can drive in and you need to read the fine print carefully. I rented a vehicle in ********* with the intent to drive to *******. Unfortunately, youre not allowed to drive a vehicle from Fox originating in ****** to *******. No problem, I attempted to cancel my reservation three weeks prior and they will not provide a refund, only a store credit less $50. Consider spending your money anywhere else.

      There horrible they kept my deposit saying the rental was now than what I paid. Which was not true. The guy at the desk lied saying everything was covered with the up front payment. Then when I called the customer service rep said no it was extra which doesn't add up. Now I have to call amex to dispute the charges.

      Total scam, rented a kia ******** thru expedia, got a mitisibishi outlander instead. Had an additional $419 added to my bill after the trip. I was told it was for an additional driver who was 50. Additional driver was to be free per expedia contract.

      DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I rented a car from Fox from 5/10/232 to 5/17/2023 and was told I could add a second driver on 5/13/2023 when he arrived in state. They explicitly told me that I would be changed the extra driver fee only for the days the second driver was available to drive the car. However, when we received the bill, the second drive fee was charged for the entire rental period, even though the second driver was in another state! When I mentioned this to customer service, they said that there was nothing they could do about this. This was on top of many other hidden fees that were never mentioned at the time of rental, but appeared on the bill, including one for their free" airport shuttle" to their off airport pickup lot! Fox is setting a new low for honesty in the rental car business. The rating system needs to be expanded to include ZERO stars!

      I am sorry that you had an issue with your rental, an added item such as an additional driver is added for the entire duration of the rental. I do see that a new rental agreement was signed on the 13th so we have credited you for 3 days of the additional driver fee and sent you a new invoice. Thank you.

      This company is a total fraud. I usually read the reviews on companies that I never heard of but I didnt shame on me. I made my reservation thru priceline along with my flight reservations. I always dealt with enterprise and i just assumed. First it took over an hour to pick ** up I thought they were located in the airport. It was late the drive to the resort was 45 minutes away. The manager that what the person he said he was asked about insurance I told him I wanted to use my insurance and he said the car was to small as if the car we had was to small I had the same car at home .I rented the car from 5/13-9;55p to 5/16-4:22am with a payment of ****** priceline and an additional amount of ****** with fees I that I cannot understand and speaking to individuals that I could not understand. My brother made reservations with enterprise and paid and drove the same amount of distance and he paid ******. When I paid 429. Please everyone ask questions I should have listened to my daughter she knew something wasnt right. Do not do business with this company.
