I will never use this company again. We booked through Orbitz and paid for the rental. When we went to pick up the car we were told we were one hour early and had to pay for a full day. Then we were told the car we reserved wasnt available an hour early but they would credit an amount and then charge us for the upgrade we ended up with. Then we were told that we had to pay a $250.00 deposit but that would be returned when the car came back. When we went to pick up the car there was a bunch of vehicles stock for rental. Now I see on my charge card the fee for Orbitz. And, I see the same amount charged again through Fox. I do not see a credit of $250.00 security deposit. All in all we paid twice for the car price from Orbitz. Now I will be following up with Orbitz to see if anything can be done.Fox Rent A Car

Both female rental agents (***** and some other person) lied stating that it is mandated by priceline and or the *********** that I must purchase their auto liability insurance. I informed them that I declined the coverage as I have personal coverage through my auto policy, yet was still charged for it. Read the rental agreement carefully. It has many charges and codes that can not be interpreted without the assistance of someone who works at the company. There is no legend on the agreement. I called priceline, Fox rental corporate and looked up ***** rental law. They were wrong but,they would not refund the +$70.00. They were not professional at all. Luckily, when I returned the car ****** listened and immediately refunded the $70+.Fox Rent A Car

I rented a car out of ***********. As I was walking away from the kiosk with the key to the car, the agent asked if I needed a toll-pass. I asked if he thought I needed one to go to ****** and back. He said definitely - so, I said sure. He said that I would get a bill after the charges were sent to Fox. I was not given a contract and because I have rented literally hundreds of cars (not with Fox), I assumed that I would simply be billed for the price of the tolls. Today I received the bill from Fox. They paid the tolls ($13.12) and included a $15 admin fee for each toll **** of 6 admin fees per rental). So, the total for my $13.12 in tolls was actually $103.12. This is some form of extortion. This is a shady company - avoid at all costs.Fox Rent A Car

The prepaid gas is a total scam. They charge you for a full tank of gas regardless of how much is in tank when you return it. Its very misleading.Fox Rent A Car

I am very sorry that there was not more explanation for you on the prepaid fuel. This is a service that allows you to bring the car back with any fuel level and not have a charge for that. I had an accident with ***** car. Their claim team (***********************************) got an offer from my insurance; but instead of accepting or declining, they asked me to pay the difference using my credit card stored info so they accept the insurance offer. What a scam. First, you either accept or decline to get the repair price you need. Second, you don't store customer sensitive info. What a low blow trying to pass payment to customers behind their insurance.Fox Rent A Car

Fox Rent-a-car in the ************************************ is one of the most awful businesses I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. Not only were their customer service agents rude, dismissive, and frankly racist, but they gave me a car I didn't reserve (much bigger and much more fuel inefficient) because the vehicle class I reserved and prepaid had expired tags, supposedly, so they couldn't rent one to me. Further, the tank wasn't full when I got it, the car was scratched all over, and the heat wouldn't turn off. When I went to return my vehicle in ********, **, it turns out Fox doesn't serve ********. I had to drive the car back THREE HOURS to *******, missing my flights. As if that wasn't already inexcusable, there ARE NO SIGNS IN ******* for Fox car rental return. We drove around and around the car rental return loop and never saw it. Every other car rental company had signs, but not Fox. We stopped and asked three people, including security, and no one knew where Fox cars got returned. They hadn't even heard of ***! Or Eurocar (the other name they go by). I tried calling ***, but no one answers. Ultimately, I had to leave the car with another carrier and call ***** roadside assistance to tell them where to pick up the car since I couldn't find their lot. We almost missed my rebooked flights because of this.ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUSLY BAD experience. NEVER AGAIN. Stay away from Fox Rentals. They are rude, inept and unprofessional. A total sh*tshow. (I would choose ZERO STARS but that's no an option).Fox Rent A Car

Booking ID ********** I am at complete awe of the situation I am in. I placed a reservation through Expedia. I put the pick up name under my husband's name who will no longer be picking up the car anymore. I've called both Expedia and Fox to change it to myself. They keep giving me the run around to call the other back. Ultimately, it is Fox Rent a Car who will not allow me to change the name although I was the one who placed the order under my own card and e-mail. I was recommended to cancel and re-book but it is non-refundable so why would I do that? This is absolutely ridiculous. Very bad business practice.Fox Rent A Car

I am sorry you are having issues with your reservation, unfortunately, Fox Rent a Car cannot modify a reservation booked with a third party. That must be done by your booking source. My best resolution would be to request cancellation of the current reservation and reobok in your name for the new rental. I booked a *** though Priceline from Fox (car rental place) on 2/25/23 to for two weeks for local use. I went on 2/25 to Fox to pick up the **** but they did not have the *** I booked. They only had a car in a larger size, which costed an extra $200. I told them I booked the *** and I do not want to pay an extra fee. They then said they did not have a rental car to give me. This is not the first time this has happened through FOX, and it has happened to my cousins as well. Last time I used Thrifty and Payless, and there was no issues in renting a car. *** has tried to charge an extra fee to several other people, and I saw it when others were trying to rent a car. This is not an ethical practice, so please be aware of this when booking Fox through Priceline. I had to leave without a rental car. If anyone has any questions, feel free to message me. Rented a compact SUV and prepaid through Priceline for 2/4-2/22/23 in *******. Worse experience renting a car i have had in the five years ive been doing it! Counter help was rude. Talking about other customers while dealing with current customers. They try to rope You into all these hidden fees by offering you a $200 toll pkg as ******* has a lot of toll roads. They tell you if you don't buy it you will be charged $15 per toll! Representative said fox doesnt provide pay by plate service or transponders like other companies. We didn't purchase it. If you know your way around ******* you can avoid toll roads. Also we were told they were putting a security deposit of over $450 dollars on my credit card! What happened to $250! ****** seen that returned yet As for the car. The compact SUV ended up being a 2021 ****** 4 runner which was huge. Couldnt even get My **** up into it. Once we got on the highway the thing shimmied and swayed every time we went over fifty. When we looked more closely at the car the next day in the sunlight you could see it had previously been in an accident as the paint on the quarter panel was a different shade from the side doors.The car also stunk. It was pretty ********** had sustained some kind of water damage as it smelled Like mildew. Perhaps recovered from the most recent hurricane. And after being closed up and in the sun the stink was like something had died in it.We called the next day to try to exchange it as we felt it was unsafe. Could only deal with the corporate offices. They told us we could drive all the way back to ******* and take the chance they would have another vehicle available. I was required to use Fox Rental in *********** and was very dissatisfied. I was supposed to have a compact car and they gave me a minivan which is ridiculous. I asked a question on some fees on my rental price and they said it was taken care of during booking. Of course the fees were still on my final bill and the *********** operations refuses to respond. I don't understand why employees can flatly lie to customers and this company still operates.Fox Rent A Car

FOX rental replied to the comment that they did not see the issue and recommended I email billing. I responded with more clear details of the issue and after 6 days from my first email, 3 or 4 days since I used their online customer service support, after I submitted the feedback survey, and a day after emailing billing like they requested I still have not heard anything back.
