      Ren*ed a car wi*h a reserva*ion...upon arrival in ****************** a* an offsi*e loca*ion (approx. 8pm) *he 5 day charge was approx. $250.00-*hey *old me *here was a $650.00 deposi* NOT DISCLOSED prior-my credi* card didn * have *ha* amoun* available *hey wouldn * accep* cash nor le* me use a debi* card NOT DISCLOSED prior... *here is more bu*...*hey basically lef* me s*randed wi*hou* a car 15 minu*es from *he airpor* wi*h no offer *o ge* me ******************* a* 8pm on a sa*urday nigh*...*he office personnel were/are disgus*ing people...bu* for an unders*anding lo* person who gave me a ride *******************...i am no* sure wha* i would have done. The driver *old me *his scenario is no* unusual! I have *raveled for over 40 years...no*hing like *his has ever happened *o me. I* is s*ill incredible *o me *ha* *hey were so "cold" abou* my si*ua*ion...*hey don * deserve *o be in a service indus*ry in my opinion...I would n * wan* anyone else *o end up in *he same si*ua*ion!       I am very sorry that you were unaware of the deposit requirements priro to pick up. The information on deposit and credit card requirement are a part of the rental policies provided during the reservation process. I do apologize for the great inconvenience to you.

      Agreed with the comment below, absolutely a scam of a company and extremely unethical. If negative stars were possible, this company would be receiving them. We rented a dirty, beat up car from them and purchased two insurances. My boyfriend dropped the rental car keys into a lake, which granted was his fault. The company refuses to help ** for 2 days, so we were stranded. After 3 days of arguing and begging they finally came to get the car at a considerable cost to **. Two months later, with no previous bills or writing they decided to double our charge and send ** to collections. Save yourself the trouble and rent from a more reputable company.

      Thank you for that. The only issue that the key code only works if you have a physical key which is impossible in a rural area when there are chip shortages.

      I booked Fox Rent A Car through Priceline. *** deceptively states that they are a "short shuttle ride" from ***. They are actually over an hour away. I am currently in the military overseas and moving back to ******** with two small children, two dogs, and associated luggage. Waiting for and putting my family in a shuttle to a location an hour away is simply not feasible after a 24 hour trip from *****. Unfortunately due to the zero cancellation policy there is nothing I can do about it.

      I am sorry for any inconvenience to you. Our location is certainly not an hour from the airport in Los Angeles. It is 1.9 miles from the airport. Depending on traffic it is about a 6 to 10 minute shuttle ride. Instrucations for the shuttle may be found on the website.

      Thanks for the response! This statement was based off the directions to the rental car agency being the following: " Los Angeles Intl Airport (LAX), Please Go To Fox Priority Desk, Ontario, CA XXXXX". It gives this impression that the the shuttle picks you up at LAX but the destination is at the Ontario airport with the agency servicing both airports. I'm glad to hear this is just a confusion on my part.

      We did online search and Priceline gave us a quote and reservation for a ******* Santa Fe from 10/18/2022 until 10/28/2022. Confirmation FFX02EB75F. Paid ****** plus ****** for insurance coverage
      Arrived at Fox with our confirmation and the clerk informed ** they don't honor Priceline and proceeded to tell ** we had to pay ****** in order to rent vehicle
      It's called bait and switch. Have Priceline market for you then charge more when customer arrives and has no recourse.

      Definitely not a happy customer and will definitely discourage anyone we know from renting from them in the future

      Insurance coverage provided by a third party would be for coverage for the rental car itself. Your rental agreement shows that you signed to add an additional driver, prepaid fuel and liability coverage to cover any damages to a third party claim.

      I was not told the location was not 24 hours - when I arrived at 3am to drop off the car I found the location closed and there was no airport shuttle. I needed to scramble to find a lyft to get to the airport. In my haste, I left my camera bag in the car and locked it in the car. I have been emailing and calling for 4 days now. I spoke to the billing department, and they told me they can email the location again, but when I asked what we would do if the location didn't respond? "We'll email them again." This is over $6k in camera equipment, not someone's iphone. The lost and found voicemail clearly isn't being checked and neither is the email box. This is so bad I may have to fly back just to get my stuff from them in person, because they're either too lazy or are looking to keep my stuff for their own.

      I wasn't impressed with the ****** Camry that they had for my use. ******* at the *** rental car terminal was very good, and very informative.
      He suggested I take a video of if the entire vehicle and the damage on said vehicle so I would not be charged.
      Boy was he right! Upon returning the vehicle, the woman at the return center didn't believe us that the damage was there when we picked up the rental, my wife and I had to prove it by showing her the entire video of all the damage on the vehicle
      That they rented to **. Her comments to ** were "We definitely would have charged ** but since we had the video, we were lucky. " I will be sending this along to Fox rental car
      and inform them that I will not be using them in the future until they have a new way of recording damage on their vehicles that they rent to their customers.****

      Fox rental has always been good to us. We book regularly and always get decent service a decent cars. The price is always cheaper. Sometimes the location of the fox rental facility is inconvenient but always worth the savings. Thanks Fox

      Have a pre-paid reservation for Early December out of ************** *******. I called to cancel, as we all know that area was blown away by Hurricane ***. I was told their policy as stated on their agreement stands and no Refund will be given regardless of the city being without power and UN-passable *** unlivable. I will not be able to use the scheduled rental as my Resort is closed and the city is too damaged. When I explained to them they insisted I can only get a "Store credit" and a $50 charge.
      I feel the circumstances demand a Full refund not a store credit. They were unreasonable. They are a third party **************** located in *************** and have no clue of the damage the hurricane wrought. DO NOT EVER USE FOX.

      I am following to recovery in Lee county and Ft Myers I have not seen or heard about reopening any time soon. I would appreciate if Fox can indicate to me at least 3 resorts reopening before December 4 when my travel was to take place. They are thumbing their noses at consumers affected by IAN to make a stolen profit. I will be a big advocate to renters NOT to ever use Fox. Their answer proves they are not even locked in the States.

      We reserved a car for late October in early September. Our plans have had to change so my husband called to cancel. He was told it was non refundable!!!!! He reserved over the phone and was NEVER told it would be non refundable, and when the confirmation was sent, NOWHERE in the confirmation is there ANYTHING about it being non refundable. While he was on the phone with ***, the man sent over a different confirmation that all of a sudden included the non refund policy. They accept zero responsibility for the fact that we were not told about their policy and nothing was in the original emailed confirmation, and just kept say." Well, that's our policy". We have rented from many many car companies and have never ever heard of any of them having a non refundable policy if you cancel weeks in advance. These people are uncaring crooks who are happy to stuff their pockets with your money probably with a smirk on their faces. Yuck

      My point was that when we reserved on the phone, not online, nobody ever said anything about it being a non refundable rate. It was only after paying in full and being sent the confirmation, and clicked " manage reservation" because we needed to cancel, that all of a sudden we saw it was nonRefundable. Very well hidden.

      Don't do it! This company is an absolute scam. I reserved a van through Booking.com and when I arrived in ******* to pick up the vehicle, they didn't have it. Trying to get my money back has been a nightmare and I am still unsure if I will be refunded for the vehicle I rented but never received. Don't waste your time or money. Go to a reputable company.
