      I regret not following the poor reviews. Or reading the fine print. I had a reservation through *** at ********************. However, I was denied the vehicle because I would be driving to ********. Fox pickup at ****** does not permit the vehicle to be driven out of state unless to bordering states of *********, ****, *******, ********, and ********. I ended up having to make a last minute reservation at Thrifty and paid over $500. It is a very convenient loophole for Fox. The first question I was asked when I reached the reservation desk was: "Are you driving the car out of state?" Think of how many reservations are denied, but because it's written into the contract, they keep the money and the vehicle.

      This car company is ********. Prepaid for a car for 1 day rental and paid in full. $84USD. When I arrived to pick.up the car after a 14hour flight, they told me they had to hold additional security deposit of $150. I said fine. They charged me. The car rental officer then asked me if this was a debit card. I replied debit card with Mastercard attached as the card indicates. He then told me he needs a credit card. I said it is a debit/credit card. He then refunded my deposit money and said it's going to cost you $189USD for the car. I said I've already prepaid for this vehicle, what are you talking about? He then indicated he can't give me a car and then asked me if he wanted to call another company. He then referred me to ****** car rental. I was then charged $189USD and $200 security deposit by them for an old 20 year old car for just a days rental. When I called expedia to arrange for a refund of the initial prepaid rental from Fox/******** they advised the car rental company won't refund my money. This is nothing short of a scam. I have been renting cars in the *** for some 20 years, have never had any issues. They refused to give me a car that I had prepaid for and then refused to refund my prepaid amount. This car company needs to be shut down.Disgusting customer service, Disgusting business practices.

      Horrible experience charged our card an extra $600.00 after pre paying with travelocity. very rude and dishonest. there are good reputable car company I have rented with many times had no issues .

      Fox Rental Car charges for shuttles from the airport to their location and it takes about 30 minutes for the ride. They provide dirty vehicles and charge a fraudulent fees/charge, which are noted in their invoice as UPSALE. Their customer service is in the *********** and they are not helpful, do not send the promised documents.Upon returning the car, Fox Car Rental representative was not willing to come and check the vehicle despite standing in 12 feet from the car and did not provide me with the folio explanation of charges. On the following day they charged my card $180 for cleaning fees and they said that I was smoking in the car, which is not true since we are nonsmokers. The Merchant also made a separate false charge of $54.86 on the same day saying that I did not return the car with a full tank of gas. Overall, with the fraudulent charges this company has the highest rental prices.

      I rented a car in ****** *** The agent convinced me that there were two plans regarding tolls - a $12.99 a day plan or $25 each toll due to processing fees. I believed there would be very few tolls from ****** to ******* and back, but didn't want to get charged $25 for a 1.00 charge. As happened, we didn't see any toll signs except for Express Lanes which I avoided. I since contact Fox Rent A Car three times to find out if I incurred any tolls at all and for a return of the $90.93 total platepass. On the third call I was advised that the claim is denied and they will not reverse the charge. The agent also tried to convince me to buy a full tank of gas upfront (as supposedly it would be cheaper). I held firm and allowed only for purchase of a half tank. I'm glad he wasn't able to snow me on this because all that was used the whole week was one half tank.This company is a ripoff and dishonest. Its agents are not held to the truth. I used Fox because of the **** discount. I will inform them of what's happening.

      Rented from Fox Rent A Car in ******. When the agent asked me about that coverages I wanted I said Basic. The agent keyed in full coverage. When signing the agreement on the *** screen I could not read the agreement since the screen was so small. I never received a printed rental agreement to verify. I would have flagged it. I contacted customer service and they refused to refund the extra coverage charges.

Anything added on the account would have been signed for not only electronically at the counter but also a physical copy of the summary of charges is presented to the renter at the time of pick up and signed.       They accidentally charged my card on 8/19 multiple times almost 800 dollars when it should have been for 3 days and only 300. When I asked the girl at the counter she said it was a glitch and the other charges would fall off. 6 weeks later and I was never reimbursed. I cant seem to get an intelligent person on the phone and the counter people dont know hot to get it taken off my card. I will never use this *********** again.

      My husband and I had a very misfortunate incident occur while picking up our rental car on 9/7/2024 from Fox Rent A Car at the ***************** location. I have written several emails and made numerous phone calls with no success. I have been unable to speak to a supervisor about the incident. I am told that *** does not have the ability to call a customer back. I was offered to call their billing department and provided a phone number, however, my issue has nothing to do with the billing department. I found an email on line for the ** of ***, send him an email and never heard back either. Is should not be that difficult to speak to an individual. Thank you in advance for your time.

      Rip off artists. Rented a car from their ******* location using Expedia. When I arrived for the vehicle the sales person asked me if I wanted to purchase the insurance protection and I informed him that I already purchased the protection through *******. I showed him the paperwork and he proceeded to writing the policy number down. Well I come to find out that they charged me for insurance protection and billed my credit card ******. I've been going back and forth with their call center personnel and even requested for someone in the branch or headquarters to call me and none have reached out to me. Now I get a bill in the mail for tolls when I had and was using my own EZ pass.
