      Horrible experience! Over 1 hour wait in line for starters. However, agent named Dae #2 was very helpful with getting issues resolved.

      May 31, 2024 was our 1st time in ******, *****. We are elderly people. Fox Rent A Car swindled us to get PLATEPASS for toll road benefit after we informed them of our destination. They supposedly looked at their computer monitor for the route to *********, ***** from ****************. They said we would benefit in having the 3 day PLATEPASS, so we agreed. Our travel did not include any toll roads. I sent *********************** (current 2.1 approval rating); the parent company of Fox Rent A Car and other car rental companies, an email informing them in detail of what happened, and requested a refund of that charge. I attached the toll road map of ****** to support our claim. Since we have communicated back and forth several times. Yesterday I was informed by them that my claim was denied.

We do urge all renters to review their driving route prior to pick up so they may make the best decision for themselves at pick up, but if the added item was signed for on the rental contract, it is not something that may be removed.       I secured a rental vehicle at a daily rate of $19.00, later increased to $21.00, with the understanding that the price encompassed all applicable taxes. However, the rented Rogue exhibited a malfunctioning rear door sensor and sudden rear window failure, despite proper operation. Further research revealed that this issue has occurred in other instances involving the same model. Upon examining the final charges, I observed a substantial increase to $42 per day, exceeding the agreed-upon price by 100%. In light of the company's history of overcharging and the vehicle's pre-existing defect, I will not accept responsibility for the window damage and will not engage in future business with them.

      I had same experience as several other posters. Forced the insurance on us and we thought all was good. About three weeks after the rental we received an email from their claims department for $1,300.00. They stated there was damage on the vehicle although nothing was mentioned during the return. I requested photos, return call from manager, estimates, and a reason why the insurance we were pushed in to did not cover anything. They have yet to respond to any of my requests other than one blurry photo that does not look like the vehicle we rented. I cannot get a call back from the company. They are threatening to send me to collections unless I pay $1,300. This company needs to be investigated. It seems like they may be attempting to increase revenue by scamming their previous clients. Stay very far away. I've asked to speak to some one outside their claims department and they refuse. This place is a scam.

      Terrible rental car company that will charge you absurd rates on vehicles. Employees deceive people about rental returns, add additional nonsense fees, and does not print out receipts. I'm glad i had such a horrible experience to see where to stay away from because $300 for a basic one day rental is completely unbelievable.

      I booked a trip through ******* and chose Fox for my car rental. Never again. +$180 with all their fees. I said no to their insurance ($40 per day) and was lectured on how any damage could cost thousands of dollars, they were very pushy about upselling insurance. I had to do $12.99 a day for ******* or else it would be $20 for each toll area crossed. When I picked up the car, they tell you to take photos of the car. I did. I also pointed out damaged spots before I left, they said show the photo upon return. I can't stress it enough to make sure you take good photos. When I returned the car, the check in person was quick to point out three areas with damage, and I quickly pulled up the before photos which showed the damage was there at pickup time. I shudder to think if the charges they would have made if not for me taking good photos. I will be keeping these pics for a while because of how much I do not trust this company. Stay away from this company.

      There should be an option for Zero stars. This is the worst car rental company and bad (expletives deleted) customer service. I had booked a ********************** car at *********** and was confirmed to be picked up at 11:30 AM. When we showed up and got to the desk (on time) we were told by the manager that we had to wait for 3 hours. On top of not being apologetic, the manager displays immense lack of understanding of the inconvenience and goes on to raise his voice and make it look like it is the customers fault. I have a video recording of the incident which I am willing to share as needed.

      Total rip-off company. I returned the car on time. *** changed the return date by two days. Doubled my rental charge. Called two time and still no resolution. ******************.

      Shuttle never showed when I arrived in **. ***** on a late flight. **************** was rude on the phone and **uld not even call the local office. They insisted there's a shuttle every 15 minutes. I was there from 10:30p to 11:10pm and no shuttle ever came. Had to go to a different ** to get a rental. Not worth the savings.

      My wife had reserved the vehicle using my points on my credit card and I wasnt sure what type of vehicle she had got for me. We typically always get an SUV. When I checked into *** in person, they told me that I had a standard vehicle as in a sedan, I told him well, we always get an SUV so Ill need to upgrade then and he said he only had one SUV available that just came in so thats what they gave me and he charged me a couple hundred bucks extra to do it. I then talk to my wife about it the next day as she wasnt with me at the time of the rental pick up and she told me no I had reserved an SUV. We checked online with our reservation and it does say we rented an SUV with our points. I contacted Fox rental and they refused a refund because they said I already signed and approved the upgrade. Total rip off company and I will never use them again or recommend them. Also the vehicle they gave us they didnt even clean it. We saw the other people drop it off and literally they just hand us the keys. The service maintenance light was on the whole **** time as well. We travel a lot and we definitely know not to ever use fox rental cars again because they will out fox you.
