1 starThe customer service is very rude and chose not to help as I try to explain to them the people that was in my apartment offering this service lied to me about how it would interfere with the services are already currently had. I explained to them after they knocked on my door offering me this service that I already had a service and it included free internet and didn't want to proceed,however they reassured me that it would not interfere with my current plan and charged me $22 for the tablet and phone. I'm not even sure if that was accurate price however I found out that my internet was about to be interrupted because of transferring to True Connect which I clearly asked them twice are they sure this would not interfere with my current government plan and I didn't understand how they could sit there and say no over and over yet that is exactly what happened and I am in school online and that could have went really bad for me if I didn't pay attention to the emails from my internet provider. After calling customer service to let them know how this was deceiving on their end with the people walking the grounds knocking on doors that this could become a bigger problem for some if they let this continue to happen they only yelled and fussed at me about why I left and not handle the issue at hand with the deception of their people. I had to call back to customer service a few times and everyone that I got was very rude Unapologetic and did not care to help or assist me as I wanted my money's back and to give them back their products it only had been 2 days since I received it and they would not tell me how to send it back to them or get it back to their company so I can get my money back and again I'm not sure if the $22 was actually even supposed to be that much for the equipment but no one would help me and I feel that my information was breached so I froze all of my accounts because I don't trust this company as they lied to me and try to excuse it.Review fromJohn A.

1 starWorst service I've ever had to deal with.1. Problems starting service. Tried to port over my old number - it took several calls/hours and two SIM cards in the mail before they got my service working.2. A month later I found that my voicemail had not been working the whole time. All that was needed was for **** (the network they piggyback off of) to rebuild my voicemail box on the switch (I used to do this for a living). They kept telling me the problem was on my end or explaining how to check voicemail on my phone. A supervisor finally escalated the network ticket for me but it took 3 supervisors, 4 or 5 hours on the phone and 10 days for them to resolve.3. Now they're telling me that my Lifeline application needs to be renewed or their billing system is going to disconnect my service in less than 24 hours. Their solution? Either call the Lifeline people back and let them reiterate that my application is fine or let it all fall apart so I can waste several more hours of my time on the phone with their incompetent support staff tomorrow.Review fromMonica T

1 starSales lady came to my elderly parents house trying to give them a free phone.My parents were clear and told her they weren't interested. She insisted and wouldn't leave. My mom call me , I came over and the sale lady was still there . Not wanting to talk me at all. I told her to leave cause we weren't interested in the phone.She continue to harass after the fact I repeating told her we weren't interested.I was very frustrated, she kept saying she was here to deliver the phone. And that they are in SS they get a phone. I told her to leave as she was leaving, she said other will come back tomorrow.We sign nothing , we don't owe nothing so what was she talking about delivering a free phone we didn't ask for.She was very rude and came into my property when told by neighbor not to come in cause my elderly parents don't have the ability to defend themselves.After reading all theses reviews I'll be ready for them if they show up again tomorrow. 1 starTrue Connect owes me a refund for $63.60 for a phone I bought that they told me was new. In reality it was refurbished, broken when I received it. Phone was so old it still had a removable battery in the back. I returned the phone October 1st provided a tracking number and was told to wait **** business days. It's now October 26th and I still don't have a refund. I've been given nothing but the run around telling me it been elevated to a higher department, just for that department to tell me I have to wait 24 to 48 hours. I've been waiting 24 to 48 hours for a week and a half now. True Connect is a scam company able to operate their fraudulent phone company right under BBB nose... Abiding by the law just enough to S**** the customers. Today's phone call, I was told a new case has been made and I need to wait **** business days (AGAIN) which will put me at 36 days or 864 hours, I've been waiting for my refund. 1 starTotal scumbag company. I signed up for UNLIMITED high speed data and then after a little while they slowed it down to a speed that absolutely nothing needing internet access will work! They now want me to buy more data! They in essence are holding my phone hostage and trying to blackmail me into getting it to function again. Avoid these dirt bags at all costs! Our government should be using paying or subsidizing a company that takes advantage of the poor.Review fromGregory A

1 starAnother 1-star rating because there is no zero or negative rating.Last week I purchased a phone and tablet for $22 and was not given a receipt. The tablet did not work, even after charging overnight. There were no instructions past the perfunctory "turn on the tablet...". Wow. I called customer service and was informed that I must return it and needed to wait for a mailing label they were sending to my email. Que? They have not sent an email.The customer service line all three times I called was scratchy, faint, full of static. Each time they required me to provide the same information, over and again.When I sought to go to their website(s), my browser warned me that the website could steal my ID, credit card info, and more. I was directed away from the site with that warning. I came here and discovered others share a similar experience.I'm chalking this up as a ****** to go back to buying nothing from sales folk approaching me. I suffered from a stroke, so I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. After a neighbor came up to ask about my experience, we learned that the two 20-somethings who sold in our building took advantage of others.TruConnect contacted me today by email and told me that I hadn't completed the application process. I certainly will not finish. I will be sending any further emails from them to SPAM. My concern now is whether they screwed up my situation with ACP. That'd be just peachy, know what I mean?I was amazed that other questionable scam detector sites rated the company has high as 89% trustworthy. 1 starI prefer to give zero stars, but that is not an option. In true faith l signed up with truconnect. The phone and tablet are poor quality. Both got broken and they will not replace them. 1 starScammers watch out they take advantage of people elderly disabled and low income they only give you up to about 6 GB data if you're lucky we're just going to do no good and then they expect you to purchase additional data most people that are low income don't have money to be buying separate data if they did they would just get a cheap phone plan via ******* cell carrier visible for $25 , don't have your call call center for this phone and it doesn't even work or the person doesn't speak English really good and they're in India I don't know why lifeline or any other company will work with this. They're not really good at customer service I had to call and get them to cancel the line after the guy scam me and said I'll get a free tablet and phone and right away when he realization can get the free tablet he tells all your qualify for the free time then he scans the phone before I even say I don't want it just so he could get to sell that's the way they all get paid by commissioned by some Southside called the main company and canceled the phone and has shut off now call lifeline too and then had that line had a pending transfer shut off so I guess obviously they get good money by paying for the rating on here that's why they got A+ guy plus rating to you guys, should be F , oh yeah they also gave me a phone number for area there wasn't more closely where I'm in postman ****************** instead it was for ************ and when I asked him could they give me a phone number to this area they said they couldn't pick anything based off the area code or zip code and even the Hindu I talk to over the phone even call it a ***** phone. New it was a piece of juck . I told the lifeline lady they need to just cancel and block this company shut them down stay away from true connect should be nickname or nightmare connect . 1 starI paid $22.01 for the service plus upgrade to a tablet, when my SIM card came in the mail I waited a few days and never received the tablet. I emailed customer service and they told me I had to call so I called. The representative told me the account number I provided wasnt in my name so he searched using the phone number provided by the company in their confirmation email. He then tells me I called and canceled my service. I told him I did not and would like for him just to send me the tablet or refund me. He said theres nothing to indicate that I paid the $22.01. I have my bank statement and the confirmation email but nothing can be done? Dont trust this company!Review fromDaniel W

1 starFalse advertising in commercials companies like this should be shut down and definitely shouldn't be getting government money that's my tax dollars to stay afloat unethical and not good practice
