1 starI am writing this review about ******************* Apartments. This is the worst of the worst. Please remove their management. I moved in last June and moved out in March due to the management. I did in fact pay until my lease was up. Lets start, I signed a lease that noted that maintenance would be done every month to include pest control and air filter changes. I lived with roaches several months. They dropped off air filters which was the wrong size. They never sprayed unless I requested it and trust me it must have been water because they never went away. My dog was attacked by a pit bull twice at the dog park and when I refused to go back in due to them letting that dog stay there, I started taking my dog beside the complex and got warned that I could not do that either off a lease (well my dog only goes off a leash), I had to call the cops on the owners after the 2nd attack (yes it was reported to them), ******* speeds through the complex but will send you a message if your family does and send threat notices. I was visiting my friends who still live there and she came out and threatened my family to leave or she was calling the police even though we did nothing but come there to visit my friend after we moved out (she did this because she has a target on my teenagers head and wanted to use her authority). She sent my final bill to a pre collections department instead of sending me a bill that i owed 52 dollars on my move out. The gate is always open or broke. The gas grill is always in use by people who don't live there (but I had to leave while visiting a friend), the hot tub is filled with mold and trash (hence health department shutting it down). ******* lets her niece and other family members use parking spots and the amenities but you can't do it. I am hiring a lawyer and going to file a harassment order on her because I will visit my friends if I need to and I have done nothing to be treated like she has done to my family. Get rid of this BULLY!Review fromMelissa M

1 starI moved out five months ago. I have been calling the office and corporate with no response. I have not receive my itemizes final bill. They are horrible at responding **** the manger hides in the office so she doesnt have to talk to residents. I shows up to pick up my keys and the apartment wasnt ready. Said I had to come back the next day. Came back the next day had wet paint in the Cabinets. The floor was dirty and my feet were black from walking in the floor. My carpet were still wet and smelt. The apartment was not clean at all.Review fromSheri Y

1 starJRK Property Holdings, *** is not responding to me regarding a refund amount on deposit check.Called them numerous times and they simply hang up on me. I also submitted my inquiry through their website and still no answer from them. I lived in one of their apartments (1664 ***********, ** ) and was living there for 1 year the apartments toilet was not working for the whole time I was leaving there. Not a basic condition to live without a toilet, so I was using close by stores toilet for a YEAR!!!!!!!! They refunded $186 back from my $1700 deposit and this is ridiculous. I need them look into this before I take any legal actions towards them because Im done with this. I have all of my proofs/ docs available and looking for an attorney, unless JRK comes up with a solution ASAP. Best regards,*************************Review fromRobin M

1 starTerrible! Management knew that in 2019 I fled a domestic violence. Had to break my lease early. I have a voucher and twice I was told " come in we'll figure it out " I paid the non refund application fee ? Then , in the office they convinced me to pay a $300 holding fee. They KNEW I DIDN'T HAVE GOOD CREDIT AND FLED A DV! They kept my money , knowing I'm in a homeless shelter and risked it all because they said they'd work something out. I'm homeless , the lied to me and stole from me. I had to take a bus there and back. Took every cent I had. That's horrible that corporate allowed that. So now here I sit still homeless and broke because Retreat and ********* robbed me blind. Very hurtful and intent to fraud me. I'm shocked and penniless here at The City Rescue. 1 starWORST APARTMENT COMPLEX IN **********!! MOVE IN WAS DONE AND ENTIRE APARTMENT WAS NOT READY. MASSIVE WATER LEAK WITH MOLDY FRONT DOOR WALLS. *******************- REG MNGR IS NON RESPONSIVE TO THE EMBARRASSMENT OF A PROPERTY. I FEEL BAD FOR THE LADIES IN THE ****** THEY HAVE TRIED HELPING US BUT DUE TO THEIR HORRIBLE A****** OF A BOSS THEY ARE LIMITED AND I CAN SEE WHY. THIS APARTMENT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE. I MOVED IN 6/26/24 AND I STILL CAN'T BRING IN ANY FURNITURE DUE TO THE UNSAFE CONDITIONS OF THE APARTMENT; I EVEN HAD TO INVOLVE CODE ENFORCEMENT TO COME. ITS A JOKE HOW THIS PROPERTY DOESN'T HAVE ANY LAW SUITS AGAINST THEM. THE *** INFESTATION IS HORRIBLE TOO AS WELL AS HOW BAD THEY HAVE UPKEEP THERE. I WAS LIED TO FOR ALMOST A MONTH AT THIS POINT ON WHEN THEY WILL COME AND FIX THE ISSUES. BATHROOMS HAD PUBIC HAIR AND YET THEY SWEAR UP AND DOWN IT WAS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED. PLANTS IN THE BALCONY FROM PREV TENANT; MASSIVE LEAK EVEN IN THE MASTER BATHROOM. ITS SAD BECAUSE NO ONE CARES HERE. I WOULDN'T EVEN RECOMMEND THIS TO MY WORSE ENEMY.Review fromIris M

1 starI requested documentation to justify the replacement of the carpet, as well as an itemized invoice for the cleaning services required. Instead, I received an invoice listing four apartment numbers with corresponding prices, but without any specific details on what needed to be cleaned. Additionally, the email included a residential history report, which indicated that we had been overcharged by $20 per month for six months and had incurred two $60 charges for non-compliance with insurance requirements. Despite frequently submitting proof of our insurance coverage, these two charges were not reimbursed. When I eventually received an email from management containing the move-out photos, cleaning invoice, and the residential history report, the manager noted that she was still awaiting the carpet invoice. However, this email was dated May 30, 2024, while my account had already been sent to collections on May 15th.Review fromJacob R

1 starLived at 909 West for 4 years. The apartments were fine and maintenance was quick, however the office employees were less than useless the few times I was ever able get a hold of them (they NEVER answer their phones). They've given me false information on different occasions which ended up biting me in the **** despite my best efforts to comply and follow procedures. Thoughout my years living there I don't think I ever received a follow up on any questions I had despite several promises to do so.After moving out, they charged me for damages without any notifications and despite my COUNTLESS attempts to get any info from them, they kept saying they would give send me the itemized list but never did. Eventually they sent the fees to debt collectors which has negatively affected my credit score.2 months after moving out I have also not received my security deposit. If it weren't for the weaponized ineptitude of the housing office, I would recommend these apartments. Please for your own sake stay far far away and save yourself the headacheReview fromKaitlin Z

1 star*************** comes off very friendly with a hidden agenda to s**** you when you leave. She has a major attitude and is the most unprofessional employee. Useless and shady. We rented here for two years, upon arriving she did NOT do a walk thru with me and when vacating she did not offer a walk thru, instead she took our keys and said our check would be mailed to us and said she was sad for us to go. We left the place spotless. For 2 years we were paying 3800 plus utilities in rent Today, I recieved a ***** They are taking my deposit and I owe $. Charging me plus more for flooring. Then they said carpeting pick what it is I complained about the carpet stains right when I moved in. I cleaned out our condo from top to bottom spotless and they are hitting me with a fee and robbing me 1500 Ps. They not only steal your money but your mail which is an federal offense. My husbands medication was delivered there when we moved and shady. then they claim they asked if they wanted it forwarded via email but refuse to show me proof of that email, why ? Oh bc it was never sent lol .. on top of the desk person saying after you move out they can dispose of mail.. false. You can accidentally open mail by what you do with it afterwards is what counts per an attorney once you obstruct mail to the correct correspondence this is when it begins illegal ************ as well to file a claim as that is a federal offense, may even call the PD. ^update. Spoke to a lawyer and will be disputing their claim and if they withhold any amount from our security deposit for this, we can go to small claims for fraudulent conversion of our deposit. We will file for court approved subpoenas for the original carpet purchase/installation, as well as Schedule A deductions for federal and state tax returns, and their federal and state income schedules (that is where depreciation is reported) for every year from when the carpet was installed.
