Had the membership where are HVAC was serviced every six months. Technician came to service the A/C. We were told the disconnect was damaged and that our system was old and we should think about replacing it. Shortly after the service the unit went down. Called our home warranty company and they sent a tech to evaluate the situation. Within 5 minutes he reported that there were copper pennies in the disconnect box being used in place of a pull out switch causing the system to short out. Needless to say, our warranty company denied the replacement of our unit. I contacted Bell Brothers and explained the situation with the pennies. I expressed how the unit going down shortly after their tech had talked about the damaged disconnect box and trying so hard to sell us a new unit was very suspicious. I requested compensation to help offset the replacement cost of the new unit we had to buy. At this point Bell Brothers attempted to place the blame on the home warranty tech for placing the pennies in the disconnect box. I responded by saying that is an unprofessional statement, especially being the fact that their tech had talked about a damaged disconnect box. I was told the manager would be in contact with me. Its been four months and have not heard a word back from Bell Brothers. Would not recommend this company.

I wish I had reviewed the comments here before contracting with Bell Brothers. I had a technician come out to perform annual maintenance on HV** system. When completed I was informed that everything was fine with the unit but that it was pulling in 5 times the air required to cool home and that it was a duct issue. Not being a professional in the field this seems logical since the the ducts had never been serviced or replaced to my knowledge. I told sales person that I needed assurance that this was this issue as I didn't want to go a rabbit hole of never ending issues that added to cost and was told that this would resolve the issue. Installation was performed on a timely basis but since the weather was unseasonably cool the ** didn't need to be run for a couple of weeks after the ducts were replaced. Needless to say this did not solve the problem as the air being returned to the house was ***** degrees on a day when the outside temperature was ***** degrees, I called to see when someone could come out to determine what the problem was and was told by the customer service rep that they weren't sure what they could do to solve my cooling issue. Really, after paying thousands of dollars you inform me you can't do anything other than to refer me back to my sales person (still waiting a couple of days for that to happen). Not sure what the final resolution will be but at this time but I can say that based on the level of customer service I have received so far that I could never recommend Bell Brothers for any work.

Hi ******, thank you for discussing your negative experience with us and allowing us to make this right. We take client feedback very seriously as it helps us constantly improve the quality of service we offer. We are glad that we have been able to make this right by replacing ducts and further determining where an air leak might be in your system. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make sure that you are 100% satisfied. Sincerely, Bell Brothers

On April 9, Bell Brothers came out to service our furnace for free as part of their membership program. After the person left the system failed. Next day tech came out and said he had to fix some things the maintenance guy did wrong. Tech left and system failed again. Tech said we needed a new circuit board (his pricing went from $1500 to $2000 -said he checked the price and he was incorrect). Also tried to sell us on purchasing a new system for around $20K. We said no and he said he needed to order the part and that could take weeks. At the end of the month we had not heard back and called the office for a status and they had to call the tech while I was on the other line and find out what was going on because he only put in the notes that he suggested we purchase a complete new system. Waited 2 more weeks and called Bell Brothers again the middle of May and told them to cancel our membership contract immediately. They offered us 3 months of free membership to make it up to us and keep the membership. I asked then what the cost was and was told $826 (far cry from $2,000)! We said no and to refund our monthly membership fee that had just been paid the day before (that was on the 15th and we called on the 16th). They initially said no and I told them that if they didnt theyd find themselves in real trouble. They refunded the charge the next day. We called another company the next day and after their diagnostic test found the circuit board was fine but the motor was bad so he replaced the motor and the unit started right back up the same day. The issue: when the maintenance was first done the person took the motor out of the unit, went outside and washed it with water. You cant get the motor wet! Not only did the tech totally misdiagnose the issue, they obviously did not know what they we doing. Things happen for a reason. We now have a reputable company who knows what they are doing. If I could give Bell Brothers an accurate rating it would be a negative 0.

9/19/22 -installed new HVAC Mid April-error code 4/28/23-called Bell Brothers. They would sent a tech out. At approx 7:30pm I received a text, a tech was on his way. Approx. an hour later tech arrived. He acknowledged the problem, He was unable to make the repair, I was on the schedule for the next day 4/29/23- no contact. I called at 1:33pm. I was told I was on the schedule that day. At 1:40pm I received a text advising my appointment had been scheduled with Bell Brothers. No one ever showed up or called.4/30/23-No contact 5/1/23- At 8:03 am I received a call from a Tech. He advised I was on the schedule. After spending some time here, the Tech advised he was only here to confirm the diagnosis he was unable to make the repair. He put me on the schedule for 5/5. After he left, I went out to my electrical panel, and found it open 5/4/23-After not hearing anything from ********** I called to confirm I was on the schedule for the next day. The representative I spoke with confirmed my morning appointment.5/5/23-I took time off work to make sure I was here. At approximately 8:10 am I received a call from them, advising they could not come in the morning, needed to come later. I had taken off work to ensure I was here, I then outlined the my frustrations and disappointment. I was put on calendar for 5/6/23 between 7-9am. I was assured they would be on time.At 4:23pm received call confirming appt.5/6/23-No show, I called and voiced my complaint. They finally showed at **** I am beyond disappointed with the service I have received regarding this warranty repair. Bell **** only cares about making the money of the install, and when it comes to fixing issues with their installs, customers get put on the back burner or dismissed all together. I reviewed the booklet provided me when I purchased the unit. Referencing Our Guarantee to You page, I do not see Bell **** standing behind any of these guarantees, and I find it unacceptable

The "no surprise guys" are full of surprises - put on hold for 10+ minutes. Called multiple times to have an issue resolved where they charged me $1,000+ - the issue not fixed. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I called Bell Brothers, because my toilet was slightly leaking water I discussed with the technician (***********) and concluded it was likely the wax ring. After he arrived, he decided we also needed an angle stop (faucet that turns open to close in just a quarter turn) He took a little under one hour and charged me $920.....He graciously gave me $50 discount......With a *** of $50 in materials and $150 in labor.. I believe this is outrageous I called already 4 x Guess what....nobody was ever available to take my call, and I didn't receive a call back What should I do? Hire an lawyer?regards Dr ***********

Bell Brothers happily left us with a replacement air filter that was actually TWO filters TAPED together in hopes that it would be the same as the required 20 x 36 x 1 inch filter. However, it is too large for the space. After spending $24,000 on a new HVAC unit, I am left wondering where else did they cut corners?

They say they are the no surprise guys. I certainly got several surprises, but not the good kind. I had them put in a new H/VAC and water heater. With the H/VAC, which is on my roof. They did a very poor job. They put old shingles on my new roof. They did not secure the shingles to my H/VAC. That is going to cause a leak. Had to call my roofer to fix that. With the new water heater, it cut my hot water pressure in my bathtub to about 5%, and left me with that. I called several times about it, and they told me all they could do is replace all my pipes in my house. I cant afford that. Im already paying for an overpriced H/VAC. I had to call my handyman to fix the water pressure in my shower. If you want a nightmare and have to get other people to fix their half a job and over charge you; call them. I never will again. Horrible

The last time I needed to replace my Insinkerator Instahot water system, I called Guy Plumbing in **********. They came and replaced it. One phone call, one house visit. Approximately 6 months ago, I called Bell Brothers Plumbing to replace my Insinkerator Instahot water system. I'm up to roughly 15 phone calls, 5 house visits, numerous texts, a partial job for which they charged me, and after a promise from various members of the company that they would finish the job, I have been told that they will not be finishing the job. I am a member of their "************", by the way, and was told that I would receive special service. They were very good about billing my Discover Card every month to belong to this "************". So at least they are good at something. If you use Bell Brothers Plumbing, I wish you well. After I hit the "send" button, I know what number I'm going to call to get this job done.
