This happened 2 days ago when my Facebook account was fraudulently linked to a scam instagram account. This then lead to my Meta/Facebook account being suspended which locked out hundreds of important contacts and lost me hundreds of dollars as this suspension also locked me out of my meta account on their VR headset which had tens of expensive games which are now inaccessible. If you look on the internet you will see this is a more than common issue that needs to be addressed as people are having their lives drastically changed by losing important contacts daily and Facebook has NO resources for recovery in situations like these. I am filing a complaint against ******************** due to the unjust disabling of my Instagram account. I submitted an appeal on June 28, 2025, but have not received any resolution or meaningful updates. The platform does not provide a clear, functional way to contact a human representative or follow up on my appeal. Additionally, I created a new Facebook account in order to access the support system, but it was immediately suspended without cause.This situation has caused distress, especially since I rely on this account for personal communication and content. Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a complaint against ******************** due to the poor handling of my account recovery issue with Instagram, which started on May 9, 2025. After an app update, I was prompted for 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) that I dont remember setting up. Despite submitting a facial recognition video as instructed, Ive received no communication from *****Since then, Ive tried every possible method of contacting Meta without success. Ive consulted *********************** submitted support forms, emailed ********************** and called Metas support number, all with no resolution. To escalate my issue, I even subscribed to Meta Verified for enhanced support, but after six attempts, I was guided through ineffective steps and referred to Apple Support, which couldnt help.I submitted a Meta Outreach Form with no follow-up and uploaded a government ID with a 5-7 business day response timefar past due without any update. The last case I opened on June 27 ended with an agent abruptly ending the chat after telling me to keep waiting. Furthermore, I was falsely restricted from support for two weeks, but the restriction was lifted within minutes after submitting another facial recognition ******** this point, I feel exploited by a system that charges $15/month for support but provides no meaningful help. My Facebook account was wrongly disabled after my Instagram account was removed for violating *************** Guidelines. While I understand and accept the decision related to Instagram, I do not believe my Facebook account should be affected by this.I have had my Facebook account for many years and rely on it for messages, memories, and contacts. I have been running an Instagram fan page for the musical artist SZA for 2+ years. I have always followed Instagram guidelines and made sure that my account was properly following the rules. My account was followed by the artist SZA and interacted with her team. The account had over ****** followers and growing. The username was @szassnooze. I explicitly put in my Instagram profile bio that I was not affiliated with *** and was a fan page. Out of nowhere last night, I receive notice that my account was disabled with no explanation. I was able to file an appeal, but I was not given any opportunity to talk with the representative from the company or customer service to sort out the issue. My appeal was denied, and I have now been permanently disabled and unable to access my account that I have worked very hard to grow over the last two years. I am a musician and small business owner who runs ads on Facebook and Instagram through ****. On or around June 25, 2025, my account was compromised and a hacker added their own email address to my Meta account. That email is still listed as "pending confirmation," and Meta's system will not allow me to remove it without triggering a verification code to the attacker.I have worked with **** customer service for multiple days. While the frontline representative has been polite, **** has failed to resolve the core security risk. Ive clearly explained that any attempt to delete or confirm the email from my end could reopen access to the hacker. Yet **** continues to suggest actions that could put my identity, business, and ad account at further risk.I have spent approximately $75 on ads for a music release that I was forced to halt due to this breach. I have been unable to safely use my Meta accounts since this incident began and am currently locked out of campaign tools that are essential to my business. Hello Meta team,My Instagram account (@*************** was suddenly disabled on June 10th, 2025, without any notification or clear reason. I believe this is a mistake caused by a system error. Since then, I have completely lost access to my account and therefore lost control over my personal data and content.I suspect that the account may have been mistakenly flagged and locked simply because I followed and liked posts from several female accounts. However, I have never violated any community guidelines or engaged in inappropriate behavior.Unfortunately, the system has not provided any working way to submit an appeal. Every attempt to follow the instructions results in errors or failed submissions. There is also no direct way to contact your support team, which leaves me completely helpless.I sincerely request that a real person at Meta reviews my case and contacts me as soon as possible to help restore my account.
