Recently, I opened up a brokerage and checking account with Robinhood. Their customer service representative gave me faulty advice which led to my account being locked. From that point, I was asked to provide the same information at least 3 times for "security purposes". It took about three weeks to get my account unlocked which led me to severe financial hardship. During those 3 weeks I was ignored by customer service plenty of times. This is not how a bank should act - its extremely unprofessional and dangerous.Business Response

I've been having this issue for well over a year now. The problem became when Robinhood asked for verification documents I sent over the documents and they reached back to me with a restricted account and Robinhood asked me for more documents which I have sent over. Robinhood emailed me and stated my account is closed and I'm able to withdraw my ****** dollars. They do not respond to my emails anymore or calls I have made attempts every week to contact them over the past year. I am just asking for my funds to be back in my account at this point.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
You are not giving me an answer to solve my issue,My bank account closed due to me not having money. Your company has caused me severe financial , emotional distress. I need you to stop running me around. I have proven my identity over and over by sending you documents. You have unlawfully closed my account, I have lost money over the year. I am about to hire an attorney. And when I do , you will owe me 10% of my money for intersect and my attorney fees. I have been too patient for too long, I have asked you to issue me a check immediately. Your company sent me an email with a form to fill out to get a check then you keep changing your decision, I have asked numerous times to get a call from a manager and I have never been called by a manager. At this point I will not recommend your company to anyone , I have had the worse experience with your company, you guys are withholding my money illegally. You keep asking me to have my bank take care of this, I have gone to my bank many times and they tell me this is ridiculous. That its Robinhoods responsibility to refund me,I need my money . Send me a check or money order for a fill refund, if I dont get help I am filing a law suit,I have also filed a complaint with the state or call attorney general office today, this matter didnt need to get this far.

Case #: ******** was opened July 8th, 2022 and my account has been locked due to identity theft protection. Thankfully the individual attempting to withdraw funds from my account was not successful due to the automated security protocols in place.However; I have not been successful in regaining full access to my account going on 11 week now. I have uploaded all of the documents requested on numerous occasions(at least 4 separate times I have upload all of the same information). These documents include drivers license, passport, SSN card, pay stubs, 3D facial scan software, etc etc...There is absolutely no reason this should take 3 months to resolve when all of the information has been provided. Regarding Robinhood crypto inv. They owe me $25000 and keep changing me over #**** dollars for various things like, closing account, clearing my files, and extra for postage of my money. They claim they sent the check 3 different times each time forgetting to put my space number down by three different people including the 83 year old manager and charging me $200 each time. On September 19th 2022, I am unable to log into my account because they now require an *** code to login to my account. I recently deleted my cookies and cleared a browser cache thinking I would simply login using my password as normal but they want to send an *** message. At the time of account creation I used a landline telephone and currently I do not own a cell phone so I never have and never will be able to receive an ***. I am disabled and on limited income and am now effectively locked out of my account and unable to do anything with the money in my account. If I closed my account , I would not have access to tax forms or anything. They switched the *** requirements POST account creation and without my knowledge. They need to give the users like me who are disabled and find cell phones unaffordable and confusing options. The loss of access and inability to access or manage my account causes me financial loss and emotional distress that is outright unfair for someone in my condition to go through. Please give me other options to verify, voice call with access codes, e-mail access codes, or how about an actual LIVE support phone number to help customers that need access. This is ridiculous that a brokerage doesn't have telephone accessible support.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: As a disabled customer I am still discriminated against by your highly discriminatory policy. I want a customer support telephone number so I can reach support in a timely manner in times that I may be locked out of my account. I should never have had to jump through so many hoops to get SMS verifications lifted from my account. Also I am still locked out of your crypto wallet as I do not wish to download an authenticator app as once again I am disabled and I find them confusing. I want the same access as others have without the need for buying additional technology or complicated apps to download.

Opened this account approximately a year ago to get one share of stock to see how it would act. It was a free offer and and after I realized realized it was something I was something I didn't want to do I asked To cancel it and never did anything else about it. Recently my checking account and credit cards were hacked and saw that money was attempted to being taken from my checking to put into a ******************* account. I have contacted them numerous times through email since they have not tried to return my phone Call's phone Call's and ask that this account be canceled. They keep asking me for a private information which I'm not going to provide to them now and I have not had to provide to them before. I have been a customer of ******************* for over 5 years depositing money every time I get my paycheck or I do a deal and real estate or any other investment I deposit the money into stocks and cryptocurrencies I've never had a problem with them as long as I'm depositing money for the first time I decided to send some cryptocurrencies and they restricted my account they did so five times in one week asking for different documentation which I provided each time social security card picture ID pictures of me my bank account a PDF of my bank account pictures of me holding a pay stub with my address on it then they still restricted me gave me no explanation and now they have sold all my stocks and all my cryptocurrencies at a lost still no explanation and no one has contacted me I cannot withdraw my money it's been two and a half months and every time I call or email it's a bot that answers please help meBusiness Response

I have over $3000. invested in stocks through Robinhood. I have not been able to access my account, and therefore my money, for 2 days. I have done everything possible including changing my password, solving their puzzle, sending my photo i.d., but i get nowhere. There is no contact phone number for them, and they have been unresponsive to my emails. I am extremely frustrated. i needed to cash in some of my stock. Not being able to access my account costs me.
