On Aug 29 2022, a bank wire was initiated from my *************** account to ******************* financial in the amount of ****, once that was completed ******************* locked me out of the account and will not let me regain access to my funds. i sent them a photo of my id as requested, then they ask for my bank statements, once again i fulfilled that request but they still refuse to let me have access to my money. the only response i receive is that i will be contacted within 24 to 48 hours through email. it's been over a week with several more attempts to regain my funds.Business Response

I have emailed Robinhood many times about my account not being active since I cannot change my phone number . They they have made it very hard for me to even contact him. I received the call and I submitted all the information with my ********** ED ****** license pictures and still cannot get this matter result I need to find out what balances on my ******************* account but for whatever reason, I cannot access my account after many emails and phone calls, I need to see whats the status on my ******************* account so by filing a complaint this may get them to do something appreciate your time. I've had my account locked by Robinhood for over a month for using a foreign ATM while traveling overseas and have provided their support team pretty much every single form of government identity possible to unlock. They keep giving me the runaround and will not unlock my account. There support is so bad that almost seems like a scam and I don't feel like I'm talking to real person. Word of advice to anyone considering Robinhood would be to not use it. They will scam you and lock your account then provide absolutely horrible support.Business Response

This brokerage is absolutely remarkable in the way they take advantage of the retail investor. Apparently I had an issue with one of my instant deposits and while I was asleep, (within 2 hours of market open) my positions were liquidated. I have been with this brokerage since 2020 and have resolved absolutely any deficit I have ever had. The positions they liquidated just so happened to go up 300% in that same trading day. My $1,000 would have been above $3,000 had they just given me the chance to wake up, and submit another deposit. Stay away from using this brokerage it is absolutely criminal. I should get my positions back in exchange for depositing the $1,000.Business Response

I have been trying to get a statement or letter from Robinhood, as required by my lender (currently trying to close on a house). I started with the chat support function. The person couldn't tell me a real timeline for when I could expect a letter, couldn't tell me who to contact (aside from the same general support line, just over the phone), mentioned a department responsible for these types of things (but wouldn't tell me what the department was called and wouldn't forward me to them), and lastly, refused to forward me to a place where I could file a complaint about the ridiculousness of being denied documentation of my own account. I am customer and do not exist to serve **********************. If a customer needs a statement, or a letter of account verification, Robinhood should not withhold these documents. I may very well lose a house right at closing because of this. I'm sure that doesn't matter to Robinhood, but it does to me.Business Response

I want my money back from Robinhood account. I usually just transfer the money from accounts in the app but this time it wasn't allowing me to. So I call the number online in ********** and speak with an Indian or Arab man named ***********************. He sends me a link that allows him to go remote on my phone. I didn't trust it so I ask why do u need to go on my phone to give me my money. He cussed me out and hung up on me. I want an apology from the man or company and my money back.Business Response

I filed a dispute for $150 and provided supporting documentation as to why these charges were incorrect and didn't belong to me. The dispute took more than 10 days and they begrudgingly refunded my account. However, before I could move or use my funds they placed restrictions on my account. They restricted me from doing anything I couldn't purchase anything from My brokerage account, couldn't spend MY funds from my spending account. Couldn't even transfer my money out. It's been 2 more weeks and I've tried many times to get help as I'm in desperate need of those funds, explained I literally needed to buy groceries and am going hungry. All they ever say is they're escalating it and someone will reach out and if I'm lucky 2 days later I'll get an email saying their still reviewing my account. Its absolutely the worst experience with "customer service" I've ever had. They're preventing me from using MY money even after I've pleaded with them and expressed im going hungry because of this.Business Response

So i transferred funds from my credit karma to my robinhood account and started using that money to invest and trade few days later they restricted my account and I dont have access to withdraw my funds. I was told it will be a few weeks till the process is finished but I literally have bills to pay and expenses to handle. Dont understand how they can just hold MY money like its theirs. **** literally telling me I have to wait till be able to get my money back which is outrageous! Its understandable to restrict me from trading but holding my money? You cant be serious how will I be ******** for my living expenses if my cash is frozen?Business Response

I opened a account and things were fine. Two days later after 3 transfers from my bank account, I was no longer able to trade or use my cash balance to buy or sale my portfolio. I figured they were waiting for funding to complete. Not the issue they said after it didn't resolve itself. They need bank statements and use the app to verify my driver's license. Did all. No contact. Called again and picked was blurry. Fixed yesterday... no contact. Today they said it's needs further attention because suspicious activity. I hadn't. Over anything in 4 days or more. My phone number and email address has changed and am locked out of my account. It is impossible to reach Robinhood on the phone. It's impossible to use their automated help because my situation doesn't fit into their help center criteria. There's zero way to reach Robinhood customer support via phone or email without being logged into their systems.Business Response
