  They illegally hold your return, even after verifying your identity. Having to start a new account was the instruction given after being locked out of an account used for years. Having all the correct and exact information as filed before. I filed my return on the 2nd, verified the information the same day and the next three days, and finally, after five different "product specialists gave and led with false information(worked as a service agent . these agents purpose and knowingly gave false information when caught started to back peddle then one became silent the rest simply said I don't know. The next issue was that my order details were online, and the receipt did not match the receipt through intuit account information, nor did it match the printed ticket that came with my copy of my returns and the mobile application details of the order. All three have different amounts. claims of having access to irs system, 5 agents found no information on hold, and two tried stating that TT does not file on the weekends .. NOT ONE AGENT had the same information as another did, only to call back when you get your return. well, I, for one, will NOT EVER RETURN, nor recommend this service to anyone. Last year was set up for an account that I did not sign up for, and I was told that my return was going to my account as always, that was incorrect, and more. There is no reason besides poor business policies, poor and unqualified personnel, and employees who are dishonest.

  Overall ok except when you are required to pay for a ******* tax return and to print it. Then you find out there is no returnjust a few words on a page that make no sense. Tried calling for over an hour but response was like speaking on a phone thru water.

  They only want your money. They will not help in the slightest. You can call TurboTax but they will not help you and they will take a lot of money but will not refund it even with the customer satisfaction guarantee.

  Intuit will not allow me to put in my IRA deduction. My mother is a CPA and a tax attorney and says that there is a glitch in the system as I meet the income requirement to be allowed as I do not have an employer paid IRA. This would reduce what we owe by almost a thousand dollar. I have emailed them several times and they are not responding so we will just file on our own. How many others just allowed this and did not realize?

  TurboTax claims to be compatible with Coinbase, but it is not unless you only trade one type of cryptocurrency. Literal false advertisement. I wasted four hours trying to import information from Coinbase, only to be told by their "Live expert" that I would have to spend an additional 80$ on a separate file from Cointracker for a file that is actually compatible. Incomprehensible.

  Extremely deceptive pricing, possibly illegal? Cost comes to $89.00 for the product, but then no matter how you pay there is an excessive payment method charge. To pay with a card charges a high % of your rate. To pay with your refund charges $39.00. The cost of the product is never the actual cost once you include the payment method charge.

  The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service. Almost impossible to reach a customer service rep. And that automated system is maddening. I made a typo on my return and IRS rejected.Turbo Tax will not update from pending and I cannot refile. No one can help. If I had not used Turbo Tax previous years, I would change. This is dreadful.

  A simple 1040 only a w2 for my taxes and charged me 188.00...i called they said because I selected assistant chat! No I didn't I had no assistance with my taxes was 1 simple w2 ...there site states free or 49.00 ..called for a refund but was not able to get one.I would not recommend using turbo!I got ripped off my this company!

  I just learned what "Stand alone software" means.
  BE AWARE THAT WHEN YOU GO WITH A SUBSCRIPTION BASE SOFTWARE YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT FOREVER IF YOU WANT TO VIEW YOUR DATA.
  I switched to quickbooks back in 2014 because Peachtree started the same subscription crap that Intuit has. I unknowingly purchased quickbooks small business accounting 2022, Desktop Pro Plus from Sam's Club and started using same in March of 2022. I thought I was purchasing the software because I have the Disc. I purposely did not download the program because I wanted the disc which has always been the software. I didn't realize this was "subscription" until that subscription expired 30 JAN 2023. I saw the warnings that my subscription was ending but since I never utilized any online services, I did nothing. Trouble is that once your subscription expires, you cannot access any of your information. The program will not even open and let me view any of my information, which I entered during the time that my subscription was active. I cannot even print out a check. I can still print out a check with my 2014 version.
  I don't know much but this seems to me to be a form of ransom ware. My data, that I entered, is not accessible unless I pay for another subscription. My quickbooks 2014 information is still accessible today and I can open up that program and view my data any time I want.
