    I would like to cancel my contract, got tricked into thinking this was from my bank with a final warning and it was not. I will not need this service and would like to cancel but has been such a hassle

    I have been trying to cancel all day. I was given an agent's direct extension but when I called the customer service number there is just a bot that answers. They say someone will call in 30 min but no one ever does. I tried calling the number I used to originally sign up and it is not in service. I am so mad at myself for falling for this scam.

    Called this company three times to cancel and they said someone would call me back in 30 minutes. Finally found another number to call and gave them my number to call back. Someone did call back shortly and I told them I wanted to cancel. I think they are a fraud company. Waiting for a call now. I was told when the person called to sell me this warranty that they replace an appliance if need be, but was not told that they have dollar limits, for the various appliance and a limit for the amount of insurance you can receive in one year. Please read what their services offer before dealing with this company. I do not trust this company and . I want this policy cancelled and any refund they owe me.

    Ive tried to cancel policy. Very rude. Giving me phone disconnected. I think scam Ihave done everything they ask and still trying to get money from me. I want this policy cancelled. And any refund they owe me They ask for written letter. Very suspicious. Cant email had to be written and mail which I did. Everytime I call its a different answer Wont give me cancellation number. I really think this company is. Fraud. Were charging me $150 a month for condo I got for. $25 a month from American shield.

    I would give Home Warranty Services of America a 0 rating if I could. Beware: this company is a scam marketer who preys on the elderly. They sent my 86 yr old mother a letter with the name of her mortgage lender at the top indicating it was a final notice to keep her home insurance. She called and they positioned themselves to create the perception that they were her mortgage lender and that her home insurance was about to terminate if she didn't provide her credit card over the phone. She was confused and directly said she didn't understand. They coerced her into providing her credit card by threatening that she would lose her current coverage (not true). She paid for a "warranty plan" for 9 months totaling $2,855 until I saw it on her bank statement. I called to cancel and they shared her phone call with them. It was blatant that they misrepresented who there were, why they were calling and what she was paying for. This is predatory marketing by using misleading information appearing to follow up on behalf of her mortgage lender and for a policy that they falsely claimed she already had. They coerce and confuse the elderly into believing they need to pay immediately to avoid termination of their home insurance. I filed a BBB claim and the BBB was not able to get a satisfactory resolution from the company. The company said they would cancel the service and refund 1/2 her money. They cancelled, but didn't send a refund and they continue to text my mom every other day to try to trick her again. The BBB concluded in writing: "Having reviewed this matter carefully, BBB has determined that the company has not adequately addressed the issues you presented or made a reasonable effort to resolve the dispute. BBB has closed the complaint which will now reflect in the company's BBB Business Review as unresolved." The BBB suggested we take legal action. We filed a complaint with the ************************ for fraud and predatory marketing to take advantage of the elderly.

    My mom's information was phished with misleading information and they gathered info about her, discriminated against her, deceived her, and misled her because of her age. I would encourage all to beware of their fraudulent actions and dubious practices. I would have selected "0" stars but this was not a choice.

    I am a new home owner, bought my home a few months ago and saw a letter from home warranty services. I called them initially thinking it was a good idea not knowing that it is unnecessary to have. I called back in the proper window in order to cancel, received a verbal confirmation that it was cancelled. However, they required a letter of cancellation that was not a part of the paperwork they sent over to me so I am still getting billed from them, constant calls regarding my overdue payment. I have written down several calls to 2 different numbers asking to cancel, that I wont be paying what I "owe" to them because I was told the policy was cancelled. Each time ive called, they say someone will be in touch within 30 minutes, never get a call back or a clear answer how to resolve this issue.

    Scandalous. Shady. Misrepresentation starting with the name of the company. I "renewed" an "expired" policy on her her behalf having received notification. that her warranty had expired. This was 3 days ago. I wanted to set up auto renwal and thats when I went down the rabbit hole. Determined I/she fell victim to a scam. #elder abuse. I filed a claim with my bank. In my attempt to protect my mother while she wasin hospital, I neglected to research the company before I paid the bill. This elder is following through regardless of the refund (in 90 days!) potential.
