After taking over the financial affairs of both parents, I received notice from Home Warranty Services in April of 2024 that I needed to contact them about renewing the warrant on my parents home immediately. I called them to inform them that after my father passed away I had to move my mother out of the home because she had no funds to maintain the house. I was told by ************************* that the house would be "red-flagged" if I did not buy their services at a cost of $220.56 a month to cover future failures of plumbing and electrical systems. When I told them that my mother had no funds for the service they said they would do a "senior hardship case" and only charge $100 per month. After paying $100 and informing them the house was under contract to be sold I continued to receive bills for $220.55 a month for three months with threats that if I did not pay and I would be turned over to the collection service Mepco. Finally, *********************** said I must pay $176.45 to be removed from the system. I paid the fee and informed them that after paying a total of $717.57 I was done with them and would not pay any longer. Now, the collection agency continues to send me bills for three months for a total of $666.68. I feel I have been misled, treated rudely and taken advantage of for their greed.Home Warranty Services

Id give 0 stars if I could. I experienced the same thing as many other reviews. They send you an offer in the mail with urgent notice or last attempt to reach you about your home warranty services. I called them thinking there was action required on my end to keep my homes warranty. They told me I needed to pay a deposit today and a monthly installment in order to warranty my house. I asked if I could talk to my realtor or loan officer about this and they told me no, that the offer would be canceled. I had to pay a down payment right then and there. I agreed to do so because they told me I had a month to call back and cancel. Well when you call back to cancel you are connected to an AI that takes your information and tells you you will get a call back. Ive called 4 times over the past 2 days and have gotten no response. I called the number on the mail I recieved and a rep told me she could not connect me to someone to cancel. This whole thing feels like a scam and the customer support is terrible. I think this company is fraudulent in their business dealings with potential patrons. They have no clear answers on anything concerning the patrons warranty and they want the customer to do what they are paid to do when there is none of their contractors in the areas "so they say." And when they did give me a contractor, the contractor stated that they didn't work with home warranty companies. To make a long story short. I told this warranty company that I want to cancel this policy but no one would give me the exact address to write to and to go to there cancelation page in the book. So I went to the book and read pages 15 through26 and still didn't see it. So I called and no one I spoke with would give me a direct answer. Yes they are rude and yes they can cause a person to be rude as well with their none professional selves. When you ask for a supervisor. You will be put on hold. I only spoke with one person there J/W who stated to me, that I don't know why they are telling you all of this mis information. You are 100% covered and we do have service people in your area. He said a lot of other things but I'm not trying to get him in trouble. This a bad company to do business with. I want my contract canceled and my money refunded because of your misrepresentation. If i could give the correct ratings for you it would be all minuses. Your terrible!! But your system gives no other options but pick one.Home Warranty Services

CS has review the complaint, customer is requesting a claim for a non cover component in her contract. Unfortunately, states in her contract that we don't cover main breaker for the stove. There was never an issue sourcing out a technician for her area. CS has reached out and confirm this contract has been put into stopped payment. My friend was given one price but now its another. I tried to call numerous times to cancel this and get a voicemail message to leave my name and number and within 30 minutes they will call back. I wanted to cancel and did not want them to take out money from my checking account. I had my partner call and she called twice. Gave my number the first time and second time gave hers. The message said that they were closed/not taking calls at this time, it wsa not working hours. This was at 4PM.This company is NOT reliable, changes prices, and in general sketchy. I am a new home owner and have a home warranty coverage through my builder. I was told there were additional steps I needed to take and was pushed into signing up for an additonal coverage policy. I realized that I didn't want this coverage and have been trying to cancel which has been an absolute nightmare. I have spent many hours on the phone getting ahold of a contract, which was never given to me ahead of the coverage starting, and figuring out how to cancel, with little progress. I have sent a letter via email, mail, filed complaints. I am not interested in the product and want to cancel immediately and all of the representatives I've talked to are incredibly rude and make you jump through a ton of hoops to get any information. The cancelation contact info is also incorrect in the contract. Stay far away from them.Home Warranty Services

Worst customer service ever!!! Very condescending, belittling, and disrespectful representatives. Super ***** and argumentative. No professionalism, no self-respect and totally obnoxious. They tried bullying my 79 year old mother into signing up for a home warranty by telling she was late on the bill with their fake final notice and proceeded to tell her that she was late on several other things. If this is even a legit company, they tricked me into getting the warranty. When I spoke to the agent she told me I was forced to get the warranty and that I needed to get it since it would expire. After contacting my realtor and home builder I come to find this was very odd and the company charging me $190 deposit. I called to cancel the policy if it was even legit and the guy who called me as soon as he heard about canceling the policy his voice change and was super rude, threatening me that if I was lying it was fraud and that I just did not wanted to pay the policy. I told him I was tricked into getting it and he also said he was sending me to collection. I told him to check their recordings for that day and he said he didnt want to waste his time when the first time he mention the recordings he said if he find out I was lying it was fraud and then he refused to. I was so overwhelmed and mad at the way he did not let me speak and it was all my fault and I would need to pay the whole agreement. Worst experience ever. Stay away from this company if it even is a legit one. I did not get the chance to even ask about my deposit and did not receive a cancellation number.Home Warranty Services

I have been trying to cancel my service but they refuse. I have called several times and have either been left on hold for the system to hang up on me or for a real person to hang up on me when I explain the issue. I just want them to stop calling me and cancel my policy. I am tired of them harassing me.Home Warranty Services

After speaking with the Home Warranty representative and paying the required $100 deposit, I was mailed their Agreement which I had 30 days to review and make a decision. I called the company within a week of receipt to cancel and request my $100 refund.I was transferred to the absolute rudest and most unprofessional person I have ever spoken with. He wanted to know why I wasn't going to use their company and who my current warranty company was. He proceeded to bad mouth my current company and ridiculed me for "going with a sinking ship." He became very argumentative and would silence me when I tried to speak. He also threatened to black ball me so I would never be able to get a warranty with this company in the future. Like I would EVER want to. After I kept insisting my mind was made up and I just needed him to cancel the Agreement, he said I was rude for talking over him. So, I shut up and let him do all the talking and that angered him because he wanted me to respond to his rude comments. Finally, after about 20 minutes of this horrible conversation, he ended with some negative comments then said he would cancel the Agreement and hung up.I checked my next bank statement to see if the $100 deposit was reversed and it had been. But then on the next statement, I was charged the monthly fee of $231.67. When I called the company, I again asked that my account be cancelled and the same rep was rude again but said the account would be cancelled. But he couldn't provide me with a cancellation number. Not taking his word this time, I notified my credit card company and asked them to put a merchant stop payment on my account which they did but it fell thru the loop because the next month there was another $231.67 charge. I called my credit card company again and filed an appeal. They are researching this matter. I am receiving daily text messages from Mepco, their billing company, about overdue payments. I also receive letters in the mail requesting payment.Home Warranty Services

I emailed the company to cancel my policy, I told them that when I tried to call their sales rep was very rude and that I wrote a bad review. I got a call from someone with this company later that day. My experience was a lot better this time, the guy listened to me, was respectful, and cancellation was a breeze. Just waiting to my refund to hit they told me it would take about 3 days. Overall a much better experience. 4/5, I don't love that it took me getting really angry for them to then do what I wanted.Home Warranty Services
