Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a formal complaint against Western Dental regarding the poor dental work and unethical business practices I experienced at their ****************** on November 2024.On this date, I received dental work from Western Dental that was performed incompetently, resulting in my tooth falling out only four months later. This was entirely due to their negligence and lack of proper care. When I returned to the office to have this issue fixed, I was met with rude and unprofessional behavior from their staff, and they refused to correct the problem unless I paid additional money. The Issues I Am Complaining About:1.Incompetent dental work My procedure was performed poorly, leading to my tooth falling out.2.Unethical billing practices They refuse to fix their mistake unless I pay again.3.Unprofessional and rude staff ********** staff treated me disrespectfully when I raised concerns.4.Failure to provide proper patient care A reputable dental office should take responsibility for its mistakes.Requested Resolution:I request that Western Dental:-Fix the issue at no additional cost to me.-Apologize for their poor service and treatment.-Ensure accountability so other patients do not experience similar negligence. If Western Dental refuses to address this matter, I request that the Better Business Bureau intervene to mediate the situation. I also plan to escalate my complaint to the state Dental Board, online review platforms, and legal channels if necessary.I appreciate your assistance in addressing this issue and look forward to your response. On December 7, 2024 I got braces installed and I signed a payment installment plan. Due to the pain I discontinued the plan on December 14, 2024 and I was required to pay a one-time termination fee of $1876.00 which I paid on that day. I have a receipt and proof of all this.I received a bill for $138.56 as if I were on the installment plan which I am not anymore. I called the corporate office and the operator said they can see my payment and I need to call the local office where I had the procedure done. I called the local office and they said to calm the corporate office and I told them I have done that. They said they will connect me to their main office line which leads to an automated menu which is the same ****** regular phone number. The total contract was for around $3600 or $3700 but I paid the cancellation fee already. Why wont they simply put in the seen that I am not in the installment plan anymore. I received a bill for $120 plus a late fee with adds up to $138.They need to update the system and fix the mistake but they keep referring to different phone numbers to call and both the corporate operator said he had no information and the local employee said she had no information.

I was told Medi-*** don't cover for my treatment I needed. I was told I have gum disease and I had to pay $1489.30 the first day I went to the Western Dental (at *****************************************) When I went to deep cleaning which should take 1 hour, Dr. **** ******** finished in 5 minutes. I questioned about it and complained. Dr. ******** told me not to come back because I won't get any treatment any longer. I didn't receive proper treatments but I already paid in advance. On the first visit (May 1st, 2024), I was told my treatment would take 8 months but I was refused to get treatments. I changed to a new dentist and it turned out I have healthy gum. I don't need any gum disease treatment. I called to my bank and dispute the payment I made for Western Dental. After that, I got refund but Western Dental started sending me letters that I have to pay for the treatment and now I started receiving messages from the debt collector. I called the bank again and was told to contact BBB. I need help. I hope you can solve this problem. Thank you!

My son, Chayton, had an appointment with Brident *************************** Dental in *************** last July or August for a cleaning. We are insured through Delta Dental. When he went in they had a substitute dentist in the office but nothing was said about it. When we got a bill for it (even though the cleaning was covered) it was for an out-of-network dentist. Nothing was said about using an out-of-network dentist at the time. The office made that decision and then wants us to pay for it.He talked to the staff about the bill and they said to take it up with insurance. My wife called them and got the run-around. I started calling in October , I believe and talked with a ******. She agreed that we shouldn't have to pay for it. She said "*******" would be taking care of it. It's gone on now for several months and nothing has been done. Now I'm getting the run-around too. I'm tired of the calls and bills every month that we don't owe.

I went in to get a dental clearance signed before surgery. They said I had mandatory work of approximately $1,300 that had to be performed before they would sign off on the dental clearance. I was not given the option to decline said work. I found out the next day that not all the work was completed and that they made impressions of my teeth that would not be in until a later date. All work was to be performed before surgery. I had advised them of that before they did any work. I tried to cancel the molds and treatment that was not yet provided but they refused. To date, they have never provided the treatment or molds. I want a refund of my monies paid as the treatments were not mandatory before surgery.

Treatment by medical staff detailed letter explaining in attachment. To certain have explained that mom's medical treatment by this facility was faulty, resulting in partials fell apart within seven days of her receiving them. After over $7000 of treatment. When we went back asking for help with fixing the problem, they kept referring her to a Hospital dentistry program outside of their services so they would not have to continue caring for her excepting accountability for the issue. She did follow through withsurgical treatment that they requested at a hospital facility and is now being told. She needs to go back for more by western dental Because what they suggested needing to be done was not enough and she needs implants put in to hold the dentures. Had this been explainedthey could've done it all in one procedure instead of prolonging her care and needing to potentially charge her for something that she couldn't afford in first place. I am requesting that they consider doing the work in their office as she has been deemed stable multiple times by her primary and her who see her regularly and stop delaying the care of her teeth after taking so much money from her.

I have been getting services from western dental for about a year and a half. Since I started visiting their offices Ive been having a lot of issues with the root canal they still havent finished and the braces I have. The last time I was seen by them for my braces was three months ago and they dont have any earlier dates to see me until another month. I missed my appointment about a month ago because I couldnt reschedule since I couldnt get a hold of them. I expressed to them my concern about my bands being ripped and how it will only slow down the process to what they said we understand but it happens. Ive also went back for pain on the root canal that hasnt been finished, first they left a high point and then a piece of my tooth broke off because when they lowered the high point the left it too short causing my tooth to break to what all they did was shave it down more so it wouldnt be sharp and since then my tooth has been a lot more sensitive. I requested to get my braces taken off due to their incompetence. I have paid in full for both the braces and root canal but neither has been completed. They told me I would have my braces for about a year and six months and that wouldve been until January 2025 but every time they scheduled my appointments it would be 8-10 weeks apart instead of 6-8 weeks like they said they would. I dont trust them to finish my root canal at this point. I am also not satisfied with the services Ive been receiving for my braces.

On 8/29/2024 I paid $3700 as prepayment for services such as crowns and implants. Since this work has not been performed and I have moved out of state, I would like this payment to be refunded. Also, my new dental office in **************** has made several requests (via email, fax and phone calls) for my records to be sent to them from Western Dental. As of this complaint, those records have still not been sent. I have tried multiple times to get ahold of the Fresno clinic to resolve both of these issues, but after my many phone call attempts, none of those phone calls have been answered. So I call customer service and corporate offices to get help with these issues. After I explain why im calling, they say cannot help me and I need to contact the clinic directly to solve this problem. Even after I explain that I continue to call the clinic many, many many times and my calls are never answered, they still say they cannot help me and to keep calling the clinic. No one is from customer service or corporate is able or willing able to help me. I have emailed a copy of my September credit card statement showing the $3700 payment made to Western Dental on 8/29/2025, but they say they have no record of that payment.

I made an appointment with the assurance from ******** that it was acceptable and within the guidelines of Medical/Dentical to receive a second set of X-Rays. I made the appointment yesterday, (2-11-25) at 2:55 p.m.. The representative told me they could get me in a 3:30, that same day recognizing the urgent need due to pain in my tooth at a level 8. She verified my Insurance information and offered me a second time for 2-12-25 at 10:00 a.m.. I arrived at 9:55 a.m. having to drive appx. 45 minutes to the appointment. Upon arrival the desk clerk was on a personal call and ignored me for ****************************************************************************** to verify the Insurance acceptability. I explained that the gal on the phone yesterday had already done so and that I was actually referred by Dentical. She was immediately nasty and said none of that mattered.I then explained that I prefer an exam before X-Rays to determine at a glance if I was a solid candidate for their office. She became enraged and told me since I had had a set of X-Rays performed at a previous office, I was no longer able to get a second set from another Dental Office. I told her 'unequivocably' NO, that I had verified this information with the Dentical Representative the day before. The Dentical Representative assured me that even if I got another Dental Appointment that I was entitled to another set of X-Rays. This rude gal at the front desk became even more enraged and told me I was wrong. When I asked why the gal on the phone did not tell me this the day before when I scheduled the appointment, she told me that "they" the Dental office were the ones who scheduled the appointment with me. I was very clear, that NO I CALLED TO SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT!!! At this point she argued again and then told me, she was to one to call and schedule the appointment. I said NO, I was the one who called. She then told me she called me at 9:14 a.m. that morning.
