Your deceptive bundling of your printers with Insta- Print forces unknowing customers to use the instaprint service. Attempting to decline the service while setting up is confusing. When you first set up your printer you are focussed on just that. Adding the instaprint to the process is like entrapment.

They charged me for a subscription service and then did not let me use the cartridges that I already paid for. I recommend that you do not ever use their ink service and think twice about buying their printers.

One star is me being generous, but that's the lowest I can give them. I have been paying monthly to use this godforsaken printer. I have not one, not two, not three, but FOUR unused cartridges that I can no longer use because I have decided not to renew my subscription. Yes, you read that right, I cannot use my printer and the four cartridges *I have paid for* because I cancelled my subscription. To others going through this, there are ways to get around it (which you can ******** I highly suggest doing that. Shame on you **. Your company is an absolute joke.

My complaint against ** is almost the same as **** *. from 09/23/24 After a few months with the HP Instant Ink program, I decided to cancel due to the fact that it took too long to have my ink replaced and the fact that for the amount I was paying monthly/yearly for 'instant ink', I could purchase my ink twice. When I cancelled my Instant Ink account, I cancelled it all, no paper, no ink. But, after I paid the last bill of $5.37, they ended up billing me twice for the same amount, stating that I did a 'downgrade'. I did not do a downgrade, I cancelled ALL of **. Then one of their non english speaking agents called me and told me that I will not be charged the second $5.37 and not to 'worry'. Needless to say, today, ** did in fact pull an unauthorized $5.37 from my account. Then they had the nerve to tell me that I downgraded. I had to inform them in 'not to friendly terms' that I did NOT downgrade, I in fact CANCELLED all of ** services. I use to be a a fan of Hewlett Packard. Not any more.

Id prefer to leave zero stars. I purchased one of their printers, which talked about their instant ink delivery and a free 3 month trial(it wasnt free they charged me $30 to cancel it). So I signed up thinking that would be handy. My first ink cartridges ran out of ink within 2 days of printing my stuff for college, so that was disappointing, but they said I had more ink coming, and bigger cartridges. It took 3 weeks to arrive which is not helpful when youre a student and the cartridges were the same tiny size so I went ahead and cancelled my subscription. Now theyve emailed me telling me theyve blocked my cartridges I do have, so what I had already purchased will not even work. This is the biggest scam ever. I am returning my printer and Ill purchase from a reputable company. You guys should be shut down for the criminals you are.

ABSOLUTELY JADED! 1) You have to make a payment BEFORE they provide you with ink but when you cancel your subscription they claim they bill AFTER services are provided so they can slip an extra charge in there.2) The whole idea of paying for the service is to get ink but when you cancel your subscription they claim you didnt pay for the ink - it was just a perk and they block you from using the remaining cartridges YOU ALREADY PAID FOR!Obviously not healthy or respectful business practices. I will never use their services again and I hope that sharing my story will prevent others from having the same experience that I have!

Actively works at blocking the consumer from using HP printers with their own choice of ink. Adds unnecessary DRM to force the consumer to jump through hoops buying sketchy chips & refillable cartridges from shady Chinese resellers. The completely unnecessary hurdles we are forced to deal with by the anti-consumer morons running this company still result in ORDER OF MAGNITUDE savings on ink costs with no visible detrimental effects on quality or printhead life. I have been printing for 15+ years on 4 different large format models without the only issues being those intentionally designed to eliminate my choice of ink supplier. Why this extortion is allowed to continue under whatever "quality" or "security" ******** excuse ** uses is a massive failure of consumer protection. This is such an obvious ploy for monopoly that it would be hard to find any user of modern printers who doesn't clearly see through this scam. Over a decade of using ink which cost at least ten times less than the "genuine" scam shows that there is absolutely no legitimate reason we can't set our own ink level if we want to, disable headache inducing, monopoly-enforcement software that trips up even on "genuine" consumables, or the constant nagging messages trying to fearmonger us into their monopoly. Despicable company behavior.

DON'T Enroll in the Instant Ink Program, it is a RIPOFF and a SCAM. I have been paying montly since January of 2022. Over that period of time I have received 2 black cartriges and 1 colored ink cartrige (which is still unused) I called to cancel my subscription and asked how much was in my instant ink account and I was told that I was not paying for ink I was paying for the number of pages I print each month when I asked why would I pay you to print on my printer, he said thats how we keep track of the ink you use so we can send out ink when needed. Okay, that's very deceptive, so I cancelled. Now for some strange reason my printer won't work so I went on line to their website to check for printing problems and I received a message that the cartriges in my printer will no longer work because I cancelled the program. So I have paid $103.40 cents for one black cartrige. The remaining black cartrige and the color cartrige (never opened) can't be used. I was told by the customer service person that I should go to the store and buy new cartriges. This is so dissapointing I thought *******, was a reputable company but obviously it is NOT, just another big corporation out to make a dollar any way they can, at our expense.
