      Extremely terrible service, I got a contract with ********* in 11/2022. I am writing this review in 06/2023, nothing was accomplished. ********* salesman ********************* negotiated a contract with me, suggested he will help with any questions I may have. First installer put a proposal using incorrect roof material, project was canceled and open a new one, second installer walked away without telling me. **** asked me to sign cancelation again and said 3-rd contract is open. 2 months left no information from SunPower, after multiple calls and text messages I was advised to be patient and wait as installer should call any day. I spoke today with ********* customer service, they let me know that I CANCELED(? total lie) previous contract and there is no running contract for me. I want to highlight two aspects of my experience:1. Company spsimplesolar.com did negotiation with me as subcontractor of SunPower. DO NOT TRUST and work with it 2. SunPower customer service after listening to my complaints asked me to call and figure out what is going on with sales or installation companies. If you think you deal with SunPower during installation period it is not a case.

      Does the system work? Yes. But if it breaks you've got a 25yr warranty right? Yeah, well you do but you end up waiting weeks to months to have anything fixed. They monitor it **** so if there is a problem they let you know and jump right on it, right? Yeah, well they don't. Found out my system wasn't communicating. I was going out of town for a week so I figured they would call, if not I'd call them when back in town. A week later still no call. I call them and basically told me they don't actually monitor the monitoring system. Placed a work order to have it repaired. Weeks later still nothing. Called the installer company no answer, no call back. Called back to headquarters and was told they're still waiting on the part. I then asked if they are still currently installing systems, which the rep responded "daily", I then asked then why am I still waiting on a part if you have them and installing them. Basically I got the impression since I've already paid they weren't too worried about it. The rep assured me the system is still working and producing power even though neither myself or sunpower can verify this. Not too happy and honestly after the poor install experience, they installed not compliant with code then told me when it wouldn't pass inspection that i would have to pay to get it back in code-which I didn't they fixed on their dime, and punching holes in brand new vinyl and tried plugging holes with caulking, the system not producing like they claimed it would, and now a broken $40,000 system with no repair date in sight, I would NOT recommend buying solar from them. 1 star bc the system did produce power, just not what they claimed, customer experience and service 1 star. Next step is calling a lawyer, paying for merchandise and service under false claims and not servicing per the warranty we paid for sounds a lot like theft. Anyone want to bet they respond with, your case manager is looking into your case? Sure they are....

      We had a system installed in 2021. We entered into a 20 year lease. In 2022 our system began to under produce solar power. Production fell way short of our contract guarantee and what the system had produced initially. I was now paying my lease monthly and I was paying large electricity bills. I have been trying get this resolved for 8 months now. System is now producing correctly but SunPower is still not producing the check to reimburse me for the electricity bills we paid. Contract states that if production falls below a guaranteed minimum we are to be reimbursed for what we paid to the electric company. We have been given one excuse after another and still no check. Beware.

      Sunpower almost set my house on fire twice and are still expecting me to pay full price.3/13: the initial inspection fails. Inspector seems shocked at the things he sees.3/17: the work was reinspected and sunpower finalized the install.3/24 and 3/25: The main breaker trips 4 times in 24 hours. I find the panel extremely hot to the touch and call Sunpower. The Sunpower technician finds that the main breaker is not tightly installed, causing sparks, arcing, and a dangerous temperature increase, eventually leading to tripping. 3/29: All lights in the house flicker, and my electronics malfunction. I go to the panel and hear buzzing & arcing when trying to open it. This is another hazardous condition that could easily cause a fire. Thankfully, I was home when it happened and caught it early. Sunpower tech comes and believes the fault is not with Sunpower but with the *** meter. We call ***'s emergency hotline and they dispatch someone. It turns out the fault is not with the meter but still with the Sunpower-installed main breaker. A temporary fix was put into place by removing the panels inner cover. The flickering is a lot more rare, but still happens when the breaker is touched. In the mean time, there are bare hot wires right below my outer panel cover, so Im staying away.3/30: a technician comes, finds other areas where the connections were not tight and creating sparks and could have caused a fire, and the panel door was pushing on some of SP wires that were poorly installed. Fingers crossed that things are now safe, though I don't have much confidence at this point.After this ordeal, I asked Sunpower to give me a discount, pointing out that this was very far from the super high quality and seamless experience they promised and charged me for. My rep is barely responding to my emails. When I call Sunpower, they promise a call back and never actually call. At the end of a lengthy process their best offer is to "pay for one month of electricity". Stay away!

      I contracted for solar panels and battery backup system with SunPower on April 14, 2022. As of the writing of this review (May 30, 2023) the system has not been installed!! After the initial contract, the home evaluation, engineering and reviews went quickly and all permits were in place as of July 28, 2022. Then everything stopped. I contacted SunPower on August 19 and they said they would schedule an installation date but nothing happened. On October 19, I again contacted them and they said they would advance my project to the "escalation team". After months of trying to get ahold of people to do something (my project manager assigned to me kept changing), I was able to get an installation date of April *****. SunPower showed up and left after 1 hour saying the system need to be redesigned even though it was engineered by them! After incredibly frustrating discussions, they redesigned the system with 25% less power output and only a marginal reduction in price. I only agreed to contract change with the understanding in writing that they would have the system installed by May 24, 2023. They showed up on May 22 and did not finish half the work. As for May 30, I cannot get anyone to tell me when they will finish the installation. I feel everyday that I am losing money because of paying for electric costs in the summer that I shouldn't have to now. Also, I have lost many days of work plus hours of aggravation dealing with SunPower on the phone. The company has highly rated panels but their consumer service and installation are horrible. I'm concerned that even after the installation, if I ever have a problem with the system, there is nobody to help. I would not recommend them to anyone, so buyer beware.

      Sunpower arranged to have one of their contractors to remove six solar panels from my roof so I could have that section of roofing replaced. That was back in January 2023. Roofing was replaced on schedule, and I called Sunpower to set up the reinstall of my panels. Contractors have been out to my home five separate times, and I still need all six panels to be replaced. They forgot to bring the panels on time and on another times, they didn't have the requires supplies to do the job. Today when they did not show up, I called to ask if they were on their way and was told that the installers brother passed away and they were very sorry, but I would have to reschedule. This is the sixth time I took off from work to get this stuff done. This company is the worst in customer service, and they show no demonstratable level of caring for their customers because I have been at this for over four months with no resolution.

      You wrote a review for SunPowerOne minute ago 1.0 star rating5/17/2023 We are so disappointed in SunPower. We signed a contract for solar panels in plenty of time to qualify for NEM2 and were given assurances that our contract would receive this benefit because it was submitted early enough. We felt a great deal of pressure to ************ in order to qualify and assumed SunPower would do their part. We received NO update indicating that this would not happen until yesterday when SunPower called and told ** our home wasn't approved. We contacted PGE only to learn that SunPower never even bothered to submit our paperwork. In other words, they lied to **. We chose SunPower naively believing their word and signed contract had meaning. We contacted our SunPower rep to tell him we know they didn't submit the paperwork on time and his response was, "sorry". DO NOT trust this company if you value professionalism and integrity. They have neither.

      Still haven't gotten my solar turned on and it has been since end of December. Started paying the loan in February and have continuously tried to get an response, but the process is still in the interconnecting phase. Sunpower still haven't completed all the work necessary and I've sent pictures displaying not all the wiring has been done. Eversource came by and stated "customer must have something off inside no voltage to prod meter box" however the work hasn't been completed. I've recently called Sunpower and left emails to the project coordinator asking for someone to come by to do the work, but no recent response. Terrible service and not recommended to anyone looking for solar.

      Following their admission of fault in the solar panel installation, SunPower sent me a confirmation email and asked me to provide a repair quote from a company of my choosing to address the resulting internal damages. Despite submitting the quote over a month ago, I have not received approval from them yet.

      This company really ***** in professionalism, communication and time delivery. It has been almost 9 months and the system is not activated. I would never recommend anyone using this company for the Solar needs. I see a lot of reviews which I can second, since I am going through the same pain. The project ********************* assigned to my project is the most useless I have ever come across who has no idea what has happened on the project so far, what are the next steps and when the next steps will be.Opening the case with their support is of no use as well, they will only send you a mere apology message and your project will continue delaying like it is today.
