Absolutely very POOR SERVICE. I have been waiting for 2 months now for a job that needs to be corrected . I have emailed, called multiple times but all I am getting is that they are trying to schedule it. I had my solar installed last 1/16/23 and now mid March no one had attempted to call to set up an appointment. It is very frustrating.SunPower Corporation

Horrible service. Im filling a complaint as an attempt to get these guys to fix the job they did. I added a new system to my original system. Whatever they did, they did incorrectly and now nothing works. They know what the problem is but they wont come out to fix it. I keep getting told they have escalated my issue but nothing happens. I have run out of patience. Therefore Im filing a complaint with every entity I know of. Its been 2-1/2 months since my system was installed.SunPower Corporation

Horrible company. I purchased the panels upfront because they came with the new home. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, I have had issues with the panels as well within the first few years of owning the home. The purchase was made in 2019 and i've had several issues within the first year. Then last year I have encountered more issues and trying to deal with Sunpower customer service has been horrible. Now they want to charge me $300 for a technician to come and assess the issue, which does not include the cost of fixing it. If anything I should get reimbursed for the money I spent on panels that now don't work as they did initially. Stay away from this company.SunPower Corporation

My solar solution stopped working unbeknownst to me in November 2021. There is no reporting back to sunpower for system health and I failed to check on the system performance. I discovered this in early October 2022 and reported this to SunPower for resolution under the warranty. Over 4 months later I am still waiting. The communication from this company is horrific, their contracted service partner is a close second. After getting ignored and missed commitments on both communication and service, even after escalating within SunPower, I have no faith in their ability to drive this issue to resolution and have to constantly drive communication since the have failed repeatedly to hold to their commitments.SunPower Corporation

Stay FAR FAR FAR Away. They do not no know what they are doing or what comes with their system when install. They don't return calls, emails. 1st response when you call is you don't have that. I go yes I do it is right here in my proposal. Then they go they have to check on it, and then never get back to you. I'm suppose to have a monitored system with 25 year warranty. After 5 months from initial install, I was asking someone to explain my monthly monitoring statement cause my electric company had entirely different information. Finally get someone out, per their statement since I kept BUGGING them, they would send someone out. When the tech got here found out my monitoring system was wired wrong. So for the 5 months they were get wrong readings and never did anything about it until I BUGGED them enough. I haven't got my quarterly solar credits, have asked why? and it has been almost a month with no answer even though on 3 different occasions I was told someone would be back 1st time ***** hrs, 2nd within 24hrs, and the 3rd by Monday. Still no Answers. Panels and actual techs that came out to my home were good. But the problem is the office, and customer services does not care, and solar panels are only as good as the support behind them. And **************** office people DO NOT CARE. For $31,000+ in solar panels I now have a company that could care less. 1 star is only cause I can't give no stars.SunPower Corporation

We have 10 panels on our house at some point at the end of the summer we noticed our bill went up. When we reviewed our system half of the panels werent producing energy. When we called the company they said that it had been shut off because they were transitioning to a new system. We were never notified of this, they would have been happy taking our monthly payments without acknowledging our panels were shut off for a few months. If we had never noticed our electric bill going up nothing would have ever happened. We scheduled an appointment for them to check on the panels and were told they needed to connect to our home wifi because their "new" system, would be using homeowners wifi for monitoring. This was in place so they would not have to upgrade their own systems as we were told over the phone. We told them we would not give them access to our wifi and they approved the appointment knowing that. On the day of the appointment they confirmed with us when they would be there and we reminded them that we were not going to give them access to our wifi, which we were then told to disregard the wifi, that they had found a solution and would be using their own "dongle" for monitoring. However, when they arrived for the appointment the story changed and again they said they needed to connect to our wifi. We asked why again and they told us that it is needed for monitoring. So why were we told that they no longer needed the wifi? They now have been trying to schedule us for an appointment, insisting that they need our wifi but we don't want to give them access to our wifi. If they have a solution in place why is that not being implemented? No clear answer or explanation has been provided to us, despite going back and forth with them. It has been a very frustrating situation with no clear outcome on their part. To add on we have still been making our monthly payments with only half our panels working. We regret going with this company.SunPower Corporation

Stay away from this solar panel company if youre looking to buy your system. They will not warranty it if you pay cash! We bought a new home so the builder used them we had no choice. Less than a year in and we have problems. Contacted customer service and they refuse to help since it is what they call a Cash system. Even tho there is supposedly a warranty on them. I have spoken to supervisor after Supervisor and they tell me the same. Now I just have. $20,000 piece of junk on my roof. I tried getting BBB to facilitate helping me but they say customer service is out of their area. How can BBB give them an A+ rating??? Youve been warned.SunPower Corporation

We started our Solar Project back in March 2022 and officially decided to go with SunPower in April *********************************************************************************************** our research that ********* was the best decision. SunPower has been around long enough and seemed reliable. All that trust and confidence has gone out the door. To say this experience has been bad is an understatement. We were told this would be anywhere from 2-5 months and are going into 9 months. The panels were installed in May 2022 and we are now in January 2023 and they are still not on. For a ************* who has been around for as long as they have, you would think they would be more established and take better care of their customers. It has been a nightmare. I've been following up weekly every month for updates and my emails go unanswered for weeks. The Project Coordinator does not respond to our many emails or calls. I've asked to have a different coordinator assigned to our project and nothing has been done. We've called customer service and all they do is reassure us a manager will call us back/respond or that our project has been brought up to the top of the list. We are now forced to pay an electrical bill and the finance bill for solar with no response as to how long this will drag on. This also doesn't include the 7-9 days my husband and I have had to take off work to be present for Installations/Failed Inspections from both *************** and City. This has been an extremely frustration process.SunPower Corporation

Solar panels not functioning after 4 months they became operational. Despite many requests to fix them for the past 2 months are left unheeded. My electric bill is back to pre-solar days and to make matters worse I am paying SunPower $93 a month for the solar panels. Very poor customer service to say the least.SunPower Corporation

This company's lack of communication caused me quite an ordeal. On 11/30 a man wearing a Novasource hat and jacket in an unmarked white truck showed up at my front door claiming to have a work order to deactivate my solar. I said this was clearly a mistake. He insisted and had my name and said he was at the right address. I refused to let him do anything to my solar and he left. I called ********************** to make sure that they hadn't dispatched anyone and was told no. They advised me to contact SunPower just in case they had contracted with Novasource. I called 1-800-SUNPOWER and was again told that no one had been sent to my house. So I now viewed this guy as a scammer and feared he was up to no good. Both ***** and SunPower had advised me to file a police report, which I did and included photos and video of the guy and his license plate. I also posted on Nextdoor. I decided to contact Novasource to warn them that someone was masquerading as one of their employees. It was a few days later when Novasource informed me that SunPower HAD contracted them but should have gone to my late son's house (not mine) to deactivate his solar! I called SunPower and went round & round with them before finally realizing they gave the guy the WRONG ADDRESS. Not only that but I received NO NOTIFICATION AT ALL ABOUT A DEACTIVATION! They claimed to have tried to contact me numerous times & said I didn't respond. UNTRUE! I received no calls or e-mails. They had all of my contact info. but I suspect they were calling my late son's phone. ***** has been NO APOLOGY from their company. I had been in communication with them many times as had my estate atty. ***** was no excuse for this to have happened. They caused me fear and I targeted a young man as a criminal because of their HUGE MISTAKE. I planned to pay off the solar lease from the sale of the house but was told I had to pay the delinquent balance now, which I've done. No apology; no remorse from them! Sloppy work.
