This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. **************** does not exist. Emails are ignored and nobody answers the phone. I was told my solar panels were turned on remotely and I only had to do two things at my house. I have done what I needed to do, yet the solar panels do not work. The app tells me they are not producing any power and I can't get any answers from this company. I want this issue resolved.

Don't bother with financing through them for solar. It's horrible, especially if you ever want to refinance your house. They put a lien on the equipment that doesn't allow your title to be free and clear to refinance or sell. They are supposed to have a process to temporarily remove it for refinancing, but I've been waiting over a month just to get a single document on a temporary termination and just keep getting told it's being process. They are now going to cost me thousands of dollars on not having my interest rate locked in because they didn't do their job on time.If you decide to finance solar, go with a private lender.

SunPower installed my system in 2022. 2 months ago I found out it was not producing full capacity. After several calls to customer service I finally have a service date 8 weeks in the future. How does this company have a 2.84 star review? Virtually every review in the last 6 months is terrible and I can see the company's stock is almost zero and is close to going bankrupt.STAY AWAY!!!

My husband and I have been experiencing the worst customer service ever imagined. We have not had proper working solar panels since 2022. We have opened several cases with Sunpower and each time they state they will call us or send someone to our home and we never hear anything back. We call back attempting to reference our OPEN case but then get informed that the case has been closed!!! Closed with absolutely no resolve or response. We called AGAIN this evening and Sunpower told my husband Oh sorry but your system is out of warranty so the cost is out of pocket for you Absolutely ridiculous and for this our electric bill has been astronomical since 2022. We have solar from a company that is untrustworthy and unethical and this will not be overlooked this time. This needs to be rectified immediately!

Sunpower destroyed the roof of my new construction home. The drilled extra holes in my roof even where solar panel were not installed. This caused roof leaks. When reached out to customer service the team took days to come and have a look at the leak. When they came, instead of finding where the leak was happening they just resealed all the mounting and said it ahould be fine. It started leaking next day and I have to put a bucket in my loft to contain the water. I called customer service again and they said the team is scheduled to come after 3 weeks. Even after informing that I have to put a bucket in living space they didnt care and took full three weeks to come. I had to go in the attic and find where the water was coming from and took pictures and videos of it. Even after sending all the proof to the service manager they didnt send anyone before 3 weeks. When they arrived all the did was put caulking under the shingle to fill the holes. How long is this going to last? There are holes in the shingles and sheathing of my new roof and they just put caulking insted of properly replacing shingles and water barrier in that area. Along with this the drywall of my cealing is damaged, my attic insulation is damaged and because they took this long there is mold in my attic. This is what they did to my new construction home. The service manager will not respond to damages done to the roof. I have been alreadybeen quoted upwards of $7000 in repairs by independent contractors to restore the condition of my roof, attic insulation, mold treatment a d drywall. This is the worst decision that I took. If you love and care for your home and family stay away from Sunpower.

SunPower: A Tale of Two Experiences - Solar Panel Success vs. Battery Backup Blues In 2022, we embarked on a journey towards sustainable energy by investing in a solar panel system from SunPower. The experience was exemplary; from initial consultation to the final installation, the project was executed with utmost professionalism. The team demonstrated expertise and efficiency, leaving us thoroughly impressed. This positive experience cemented our trust in SunPower, making them our go-to choice when we decided to enhance our homes energy resilience with a battery backup system.Encouraged by our initial experience, we decided to contact SunPower again in 2024 to install a battery backup system. Unfortunately, this time, we faced a completely opposite experience. From the outset, communication was poor. It was incredibly challenging to get in touch with the right person who could answer our questions. Our calls and emails often went unanswered, and when we did manage to speak to someone, the information provided was often vague or unhelpful. The installation process, which we had expected to be as smooth as the first, was fraught with delays and miscommunications. The team seemed disorganized, and there was a noticeable lack of coordination. It became increasingly clear that our initial positive experience was not being replicated. Our journey with SunPower has been a mixed bag. While our initial experience with the solar panel installation was outstanding, our subsequent attempt to install a battery backup system was anything but satisfactory. The ***** difference between the two experiences has left us wary and uncertain about continuing our relationship with SunPower. In conclusion, our experience with SunPower has been a tale of two extremes.

Sunpower was nothing but a headache and stress. When they installed the panels something wasn't working so I was getting no power from them. I called several people including the project manager several times. He was very unresponsive. The customer service employees do not know anything at all. I spoke with about seven of them on different occasions and ***** had an answer for me and they all told me different things. A few months passed and they started charging me the monthly charge but still no power from the panels. I paid a total two months and half with no power from the panels. One of the customer service people assured me that I would get that money back at the end of the year. Finally I got to speak with a different project manager she asked to to go outside and see if the system switch was turn on. Well it wasn't someone from sunpower had shut it off in the beginning of the project because they had changed a panel that wasn't working right. They never turned it back on and for over two months while I was calling customer service and project managers no technician was ever sent out to check what the issue. Then I called another customer service agent who assured me that I will get the money back for those months I paid while I had no power. He said at the end of the year they do a performance check . We'll they did and I got about $36 but should have been about $125. My issue with this company is has employees who don't know what they are talking about and project managers who don't care to respond calls or emails. At the end of the day I didn't receive all the money I paid back . Shame on sunpower for putting me through months of stress I will never recommend them to anyone.

Sent to SunPower today:This is a formal complaint against your company and the lack of customer service, following up and meeting the contractual obligations. I signed the purchase contract in November of 2023. Your company was quick to install the system by January of 2024 after obtaining permits from the City of *******. I had a terrible project manager ***. She did not reply to emails, nor ever answer her phone which does not have voicemail. She was never available to communicate and did not make it clear to me that receipt of the first payment for 80% was a requirement for SunPower to reach out to *********** and Electric (PG&E) to obtain Permission to Operate the system. I had an appointment then February 15th and hoped to begin using the system soon as conveyed by ********************* during his presentation. On March 26, 2024 I received communication from PG&E and needed assistance to translate to lay person terms. Still no action by SunPower as we continued to receive high utility bills while the panels went inactive. I set an appointment with PG&E to obtain status and understand the challenges on April 19, 2024. During this zoom I learned that PG&E was pending receipt of a SLD Document. I sent it myself finally on April 19th wasting a month. On April 26, 2024 PG&E confirmed their approval for conditional PTO. PG&E informed me that an inspection was May 22, 2024 from ***** with PG&E. They came and only turned off my batteries and locked them with their lock. Then your company emailed me:Congratulations! I have an appointment Friday, June 14 from 2-3 pm I was waiting and called a bit after 3 the only service number to see if someone coming. After 40 minutes of mostly hold I ended the call, and no one ever showed up. When I ended the call while on hold there was not a call back.

We have our original solar panel when we bought our house and starts working AFTER 6 WHOLE MONTHS of staying in our house. We add additional panels and battery and when we are in the process of technicial installing the panels and battery they turned off our original panel and was not working since then. We called them and ask if they can fixed it and turn it back on since its their technicians fault that they forgot to turn it back on. But they let us wait and give us a schedule that is after 2 months. Were just basically paying our electricity plus the lease for the panel that is not even workingBefore installing and signing the contract they reach out often and give us schedule right away if needed. But now they just leave us hanging. Their customer service sucks!!

My husband and I purchased our home in 2020 and there were Solar Panels with a lease installed. At that time my husband assumed the lease. On May 20th of this year he passed away and I have been trying to pay the remaining amount on that lease to no avail. As I was not the registered person on the lease I had to (and still am) going through unbelievable measures to get the payoff amount. I have sent them Certified copies of the original Death Certificate, my certificate of Authenticity of our Family Trust, my Drivers License, plus signed all of the required forms via DocuSign. At that time which was June 5, 2024 I was told the transfer process would take 2-3 business days. As of today June 17, 2024 I was told they were still processing my paperwork and would be another 2-3 days. The issue at hand is I am in ****** with the sale of our home and need to pay the lease prior to Escrow closing on June 28, 2024. They would accept my monthly lease payment via the phone but refused to give me the payoff amoun when I said I wanted to pay it off.It is obvious they want to continue to make money on the lease financing and are unwilling to accommodate me. I have no where else to turn as I am at their mercy, and feel they are now taking advantage of my widow status. Additionally, their customer service team is outsourced and incredibly difficult to understand and they refused to allow me to speak with a Supervisor on three seperate occassions. I want other consumers to be aware of the unethical practices of this Comany. Do NOT purchase/lease from SunPower.Thank you,*********************************
