My system was installed 9 weeks ago. Still not inspected by the local authorities. They neglected to get an electrical permit. Plus the installers told us one panel doesn't work. I have escalated over and over. Still nothing. Zero customer service. Stay away. I am planning on ripping it down and leaving at the curbSunPower Corporation

I live in ********. Authorized solar tech found an issue with one of my inverters.He reported an issue to SunPower on March 14, 2024.Case # ********.Still waiting for the replacement part . My local authorized solar company called multiple times and I called several times --- we do not have the necessary parts -- that's the answer!I requested to get an update form the case manger several times -- no responses.The system is still under SunPower warranty.Not sure it is normal. We have been without active solar panels for one year. The faulty microinverter was to be replaced and we cannot get technicians to come and do the job, We have continuous cancelled appointments and NO communication. SunPower has failed us continuously.SunPower Corporation

July 27th, 2012, 12 years ago, I began my relationship with SUNPOWER, it was the day my system was activated. I chose SUNPOWER because, like another great company, ******** Windows that has a 20 Year Replacement warranty, I witnessed personally, changed all of our windows by checking defective date codes, a stellar response. SUNPOWER, and its representatives sold me a 25 Year replacement of any defective SOLAR Panel and its build-in micro-converters reporting system per advertisement and contract and its adds of which I have a hard copy: ******************************************* When I called SUNPOWER **************** in the ***********, they responded back to me with a hardnosed response decision that I am not covered for any repair of my system, (Name and ID of the representative available upon request), and that it would be an out of my pocket expense. I asked please to connect me to a **************** Supervisor to further discuss, I was denied the ability to elevate my concerns and told, all discussion ends here with the person I spoke with.My system performed perfectly until May 31st, 2024. On next day June 1st, 2024, my entire system of 24 panels stopped communicating with my SolarBridge Supervisor monitoring system (a company acquired by SUNPOWER). The latest version of firmware, Rev. 2406, coincidently (24 Year 06 Month) was installed in my supervisor panel by the SUNPOWER server, detail available upon on request.I understand that technical changes can affect existing users with advances, but not to support the existing customer base with the 25 years warranty, which was instrumental in putting SUNPOWER on the map is disappointing. At the present, since there is nowhere to turn, I feel abandoned by SUNPOWER as a customer and may have to contact the *** Attorney General if there is no resolve. Under the present circumstances I cannot in good faith recommend or promote SUNPOWER and would not want to see others end up with a similar fate.SunPower Corporation

I was talking to one of the managers and mentioned that I had read some bad reviews about his company and he got very angry and tried to pressure me into buying and said you can not find a perfect company. I agree there is no perfect company but no one should buy from a company who tries to pressure you into buying. All I can say is stay away from this companySunPower Corporation

Stay away from SunPower!Absolutely the worst customer service we have ever experienced. We own a home with a previously installed leased system. We had to replace our roof and had SunPowers local contractor remove them. SunPowers contractor High Noon Solar refused to reinstall them for safety reasons and because the system was causing damage to our roof. One and a half years later we still have not been able to resolve the issue, and SunPower continues to bill us monthly. We cant get anyone from SunPower with the ability to problem solve this on the phone. The panels have been sitting on the ground where High Noon stacked them in October of 2022. At this point we just want to agree on a buyout amount, have them collect their equipment from our property and move on. We have even obtained legal council costing us thousands of dollars and gotten nowhere. We will NEVER do business with SunPower again, and hope we are able save others from having a similar experience by posting this review.SunPower Corporation

It took eight months to resolve an issue that entailed about three hours of work to replace a major component. When I discovered the issue and reported it in August of 2023 I was informed the monitoring system had been down since February of 2023. Fifteen months of performance data lost, not sure how thats going to play when I eventually sell the house. I was told at some point in the process that the new system came with a 10 year warranty. Now Ive been informed that I cant even get the warranty extended for the fifteen months it took to resolve a very basic issue.The site does not allow zero stars, but this company deserves that rating.SunPower Corporation

TWO YEARS LATER, I DONT HAVE SOLAR POWER. Beyond disappointed. I contracted with SunPower to go solar in April 2022. The panels were on back order so werent installed until March 2023. Then failed city inspection. Took two months for SunPower to make changes, then had a box they had installed BURN due to their installation mistakes. That was fixed, but they failed the next city inspection and have not done anything to complete the work needed. Meanwhile, they have called the loan due and have been charging me $175/month, while I still pay ComEd, without having solar energy. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.SunPower Corporation

1 starI wish I could give this company negative stars. They were all interested in us when we installed a top of the line system on our roof, but when it comes to getting service, they are like ghosts. They give us the run around at the main office; all empty promises and no return calls. We are basically paying for solar power out of pocket. The person who installed the service is not returning calls, nor are other installers. We really regret using this useless company. It's the worst ever. I am so disappointed because we wanted to make a difference in the era of global warming. But alas, they are TERRIBLE and irresponsible!Review fromKENNY C

It is hard to believe a public trading company has trouble keeping its promise to reimburse a $300 HOA processing fee for a $70,000 solar installation project. I have been waiting for reimbursement since I paid off my balance 6 months ago. The SunPower finance team managers keep quitting their jobs with the company, and no one is following up with the dispute claims. I would suggest withholding the credit they promise you before paying off the balance for your projects if you are still interested in dealing with this company!
