We had a sunvolt system installed on April 3 2024. we paid over 17K for the first installment of the equipment. As of today May 18, our sunvolt battery and control systems have never been functional. We have spoken to several persons via phone and all we've been getting is the same answers that something will be done. No one is accountable. When we ask for a project manager the answer is the usual ie they are not there or out of town. We are beyond angry and frustrated. We have been scammed for over 17K to receive nothing. This is criminal and a violation of consumer rights. It is robbery. We will never stop pursuing this unjust action by Sunpower/Sunvolt to right this abomination. They have breached their contract with our money in their pockets. This is a corrupted, negligent company out to advertise how great their products are only for us as consumers to find out this is a scam out to get your money.SunPower Corporation

I is May 28 2024 and what has your business done for us. The answer is nothing. We are going on 6 weeks of negligent behavior on your part. The equipment we have is so obviously defective, We have old so many in our community not to use your company. I don't understand and am extremely frustrated with Sunpower"s inability to rightfully right this problem. This is very bad business practice which is why you should go into bankruptcy. And I believe that will soon happen. With all the talk of climate change, you are disabling us from staying as much as we can for the grid. And because it is a faulty battery no one knows what that faulty battery is capable of doing. It overheated once because you artificially powered the battery which made it hot and the internal fan kicked in. Fire perhaps? Replace the equipment and a full refund ASAP. Because of your company we have had to cancel our trip to ****** to check our other home there. You have caused so much pain, suffering.Review fromErik S

SunPower does a fantastic job with installation and communication. I even had a micro inverter that went down a few months after installation and they showed up with 24 hours to fix at no cost. Very friendly and talented team!Five starts across the board!!SunPower Corporation

I've been waiting 6 months for Sunpower to fix my solar panels. I started with one panel not working and it took almost 5 months for Sunpower to have a tech show up to address the issue with the non-working panel. When he left, none of the panels were registering on the monitor and the tech said that I might have to wait 24 hours for everything to sync up. After 24 hours I could see that I now had 3 panels that weren't working. The panel that originally had the issue plus 2 more were not working. I immediately notified Sunpower and they said that they would have the tech come back right away to fix the problem panels. It has now been 6 weeks since that date and I have made numerous calls and sent numerous emails to Sunpower and there is still no resolution of this issue. And there is still no tech being dispatched to fix my panels. I hope everyone who reads this experience appreciates the issue. It comes down to customer service. And ********************** doesn't have it.SunPower Corporation

SunPower Corporation is the worst that exists.Beleive me since I have been their loyal customer since ********* in late 2022, early 2023 I contacted Sunpower **************** to get my annual performance guarantee refund, however, they couldn't see anything and ended up sending a technician to check the system which took them a couple of months.Technician found out that an Inverter went out that was no longer producing electricity starting from January 2023. The SunPower techs were unable to repair the main inverter unit and I was told that they would come out again when they had the new inverter. Every month we followed up and it was same answer that they would get back to us. This is when I had enough and took my automatic payment out starting March 2024 and now, I am getting late payment notices instead of solving the issue that is solely Sunpower's responsibility. Bottom line, SunPower owes me about $6000 for not producing energy for me per their contract, back payments for the monthly payments I paid for not receiving services and roof repairs due to the solar panels that were installed improperly and caused me leaks. Again, we contact them to find a solution and as of today, May 13, 2024 there is a big silence.SunPower Corporation

RUN DO NOT ENGAGE with this company. My "warrantied" solar system has been down not generating any power for at least two months. I have called for support and they can't locate find my system because it isn't connected to the internet (not an option when it was installed). When I offered to send them pictures and provide an e-mail with the original contract from installation--they told me they cannot receive emails. When I asked to speak to a manager, they gave me a name of a partner and said a manager would not call me back. When I call the partner, they tell me I need to get Sunpower to initiate the repair processes. After multiple requests, I have been put in "escalation", but that has done nothing except generate an automatic form email and no service or communication has happened.SunPower Corporation

I have been getting the run around as well as the others in the reviews. My sales person, west coast solar pros deceived us into buying the solar panels, knowing if we wanted to lease the panels they wouldnt because we live on a golf course. Yes, we know the risk of golf *****, but never imagined the severity of it. He should have told us. We have replaced many in the three years. He deliberately avoided this discussion by making a big deal about the panels withstanding hail. Then a couple of months back(after months of trying to get some attention for non-working panels, he insisted that only one panel wasnt working. There were four and an other company took care of the three that had nothing to do with golf *****.He was rude he told me he was tired of explaining what it was one panel, and told me to GET NETTING LIKE HE SUGGESTED LAST YEAR. He was done. Very rude response and he appeared to be lying because there were three that had nothing to do with golf *****. He could see production all along. I am now working directly with Sunpower and one new one is not working that was not damaged which laughingly is under netting and the one that hasnt been working because of golf ball damage is still pending replacement for which they quoted over $1400. I am trying to get Sunpower to address both issues and continue to get the run around. DO NOT BUY FROM SUNPOWER. I read they have financial issues and I would expect that *** be part of the problem. Stay away from west coast solar panels as well .SunPower Corporation

Stay away from this company. No customer service . I got the system installed over 10 weeks ago . It passed the inspection a week later. And till now the system is not running. Im being told for many weeks that PSEG is holding the start of the system. I called PSEG and was informed that they never received the documents. I called **************** (it doesnt exist) they take my information and nothing gets done . The agent in charge of my Acc was fired many weeks ago . The ************ probably didnt get paid and thats why they didnt send the documents. STAY AWAY from SunPower.SunPower Corporation

1 star9 weeks ago my system stopped working. Called and it took Sunpower 6 weeks to get someone out to look at the system. Determined inverter was out and needed to order a new one. Was told it would take two weeks. Its been 3 weeks with no word so I called Sunpower again today. 45 minutes on line with a service rep who eventually hung up on me when I asked to talk to his supervisor. Second call rep was not able to get a supervisor to talk to me but was able to escalate the issue and the part might get ordered in another week. Other neighbors have had similar issue with Sunpower service taking months to respond. Knowing what i know now I could never recommend sunpower top anyone I know.Review fromErick o

I had my solar panels installed early Feb 2024. During the first storm my roof leaked damaging one of my walls. I reached out to Sunpower the day the leak was found and were able to have the leaked fixed but the damage to the wall was enough to cause mold to grow. It took nearly 3 months of hassling to finally get a contractor to remove the mold. Now we are waiting for sunpower to authorize the contractor to rebuild the damaged area. At the same time I have yet to receive PTO to use the solar panels. I email the coordinator, call the main line and get no response if there are any issues with the permits. I do see from the utility company that they are working on permits as of 4/24/24 which would mean that my permit request from 2/24 has been overlooked. Sunpower has yet to explain themselves.SunPower Corporation
