Date of incident: 2/21/24 4:15pm My car was damaged at the car wash, and they filled out a report and promised me that my car would get fixed. However, they are now denying the case and claiming I hit the brake, which is false as I never hit my brake. They are not responding to my phone calls or emails. I will attach a copy of my email. I have AAA insurance, but I dont want to open a claim with them since I dont want to pay the deductible, especially since it's not my fault. I am seeking a full repair of my 2023 Tesla. This is his email after a week:On Feb 28, 2024, at 8:21 AM, *************************** <**************************> wrote:?Dear ******,I would like to start this letter by thanking you for being a customer at **********************. If the above rules are not followed, an accident can occur, and the driver is at fault.Based on our investigation and review of the video footage, you applied your brakes and came out of neutral which caused your vehicle to stop inside the wash. Hello ****** - we apologize for any frustration you have experienced and that you disagree with the outcome of your claim. Our team did a thorough investigation of this incident and as our team explained, the footages shows that your brakes were applied during the wash which was the cause of this incident. The footage shows there was no malfunction to cause or contribute to this incident. Upon entering the wash every customer is given the safety instructions to 1) Place the vehicle in neutral 2) remove your hands from the wheel, and 3) remove your foot from the brake. When these instructions are followed your vehicle will be pushed along through the tunnel in a safe manner until the directional signage at the end of the wash instructs you to "go" at which point you will place the vehicle in drive again and exit safely. Unfortunately, these safety instructions were not followed in this case causing this incident. The wash did not malfunction in any way during your visit and the damage caused was due to driver error. Like a normal traffic accident the driver whose actions caused the incident would be liable for any damage. Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for damage that was not caused by the wash. We wish you the best.Initial Complaint

Shortly after our vehicle was transported from ******** to our new home in ******, ********** we began looking for a quality car wash facility close by. We quickly settled for a newly installed, attractive facility in nearby *******, ** Quick Quack Car Wash. On our first wash 11-9-23 we subscribed for unlimited best washes with Quick Quack for $35.99 per month automatically debited to our Discover Credit Card. Regrettably, relatively minor damage was done to the right-rear taillights on our pristine, low mileage 2013 GMC Terrain Denali. Returning for our second (and last) wash on 11-29-23 we reported the damage to staff and were referred to their regional manager **** that was visiting the site this day. ****, a very nice, friendly fellow, welcomed us to ** and took their Customer Incident Report #******. I was to be contacted within 72 hours of the report with their findings and resolution. So today, 3-12-24 and some 14+ weeks later I still have no resolution while having received only two (2) washes while paying for four (4) months of unlimited washes. Why only 2 washes, I simply do not want to risk further damage to my vehicle. In the interim I have called their customer service office *************) six (6) times, replied to three (3) email requests for feedback, written a letter to their CEO and exchanged three (3) emails with their store leader. What has been accomplished absolutely nothing! So now I will need to look for another car wash and make repairs to my taillight(s) for roughly $250 (material cost). I am willing to attempt repairs myself. In closing I am not an unreasonable person and would like to discuss with Quick Quack a mutually acceptable resolution of this matter.Business Response

As a customer of ********************************************* since 2019 and at one point having 15+ cars on their monthly membership Im disappointed in the way they handled our situation. 1st of all in 2021 they discriminated one of my employees ( we rent cars out and frequent there locations a-******** of our employees was taking a car to get cleaned, singles out by employees in line, threatened and harassed and wasnt allowed to was the car. He was advised to not come back to the location ever again and the cops were looking for him. Immediately this was concerning, we decided to investigate why this was the case. The employees of quick quack claimed that he hurled racist insults at them, threatened them and then confronted another customer behind him and got into an altercation with him. They made the connection because he was driving the same car. Well it turned out to be someone completely different, quick quack showed us the camera he footage from the incident and the car and license plate didnt belong to us nor was our driver ever there. Quick quack ghosted us when we provided proof that wasnt him even though they harassed our employees, threatened him and prevented him doing his job. No apology no anything. 2nd. Weve downsized and have less cars, there customer service is a nightmare and extremely unhelpful. We cancelled certain memberships in Oct of 2023 yes quick quack has charged us up until March of 2024. Over $500 of cars that we had removed, yet when we called the said that never happened and offered us a $60 credit. Needless to say I will no longer us there service.Initial Complaint

charged extra for a membership that was not agreed upon- for services I had not received. Contacted customer care for a full refund and was told I can have some of my money back. I could not have a refund for the fee I paid prior to being overcharged. I paid ***** for a membership for one vehicle on January 8. Used their car wash once and didnt use again due to bad weather. I decided to add a second vehicle to my membership because I saw an advertisement of 40 percent off to add an additional vehicle so I signed up for that offer added the vehicle info and was charged the promo price of 40 percent of which totaled $12 as the original price to add an additional vehicle is $20. My membership was due to renew on Feb 8 and when it did, I was charged $***** plus $20 totaling $55.99 which is full price for two vehicles. If I signed up for a promo I should not have been charged $20 for the second vehicle, if anything was due, it should only have been a pro rated amount for the 5 days between renewal at the 40 percent off rate. Thats what is fair. I decided to contact customer care so I could get a full refund because now I have paid $67.99 in February. I should not have to pay for something I didnt use. The response I get is I was refunded $55.99 as a one time courtesy. I responded and asked about my $12 charge being refunded that wasnt mentioned and was told that was to add the second vehicle for the days between billing when I signed up for the promotion, though I didnt even use the membership they still want to charge me-it clearly stated the discount was 40 percent off an additional vehicle added to your membership. $12 is 40 percent of $20 and if it is supposed to be pro rated for 5 days the math is incorrect and they still owe me a refund even if they want to charge me a pro rated amount for 5 days, which again I never even used the membership in February. I believe I am being informed incorrectly and the company is trying to avoid refunding me. If they agreed upon a refund for the full amount in February that needs to include the additional amount I paid- I need assistance because there is no customer service phone number to call and I need this resolved.Initial Complaint

This car wash has employees with sign on the side of the road saying free. When I went to the car wash to take advantage of the free car wash the employee was way too pushy. She asked me if I wanted to sign up for their 9.99 promotional monthly car wash, when I told her no three times she kept asking me and pressuring me. This employee basically forced me to sign up for it and wouldnt take no for an answer, so I didnt get the free car wash like they said I would, because the employee wouldnt let me.Business Response

Hello **** - we apologize that you had an unsatisfactory experience. During your visit the license plate of your vehicle did not match the license plate on the account. We apologize for any inconvenience; however, we cannot wash a vehicle that is not listed on the account with your membership. The license plate would need to changed on the account or a single wash would need to be purchased for that vehicle.
We have reviewed our records and it does show that customer care was contacted on 2/23/24 and our agent did assist with your updating the license plates on your account. You did indicate that you wanted to cancel and our agent offered you a retention offer of 2 months free for your account which you did accept. We hope to better serve you in the future.

Quick Quack is totally lack of responsibility and customer service. On October 27, 2023, my car was hit twice inside the wash tunnel at their ********************** location: 1750 ****** Dr ********************** CA as the truck in front slipped off the rolling conveyor belt and my license plate and bumper are damaged (see attachments). The staff did not stop the conveyor belt until I blew my car horn after the second hit. I reported immediately to the staff and a case number is created under Case No. ****** and was told their claim department will call me within 10 days. I finally got a call from someone after 3 weeks. I described the incident to the person from **************** and he told me they will call me back shortly after they reviewed the video. No further call from them after that. On Dec 1st 2023, I called Quick Quack ******** Services and they told me they cannot transfer my call to claim department and they cannot give out their **************** Number. They told me they will pass my message to them. Another month has passed, no call. I sent email to the address they provided, no reply. On Jan 20th 2024, I called their customer service number again. This time the lady said the same thing again that she can only relay my message to their claim department and she did email me to acknowledge she has spoken with me and someone will call me within a week. Again no one called me. On Feb 12th, I went to the ********************** location where the incident occurred and spoke with their Assistant Manager who put me in a 3 way call with their customer service department. The person who answered the call said the manager is not in but he will call me the next day. Again today is Feb 22nd 2024, still no call and no resolution in sight.I am writing to BBB seeking help to get them repair my car or compensate me for the repair from my car repair shop. This is 4 months since the incident. I would give them a Fail rating for their operations and customer services.Initial Complaint

On Friday 02/16/2024, at 17:20 I purchased then drove my car into the car wash. No instructions or notice was given regarding non satisfactory conditions of my vehicle to run through the wash. My vehicle is a four-month-old 2024 ****** RAV4 completely factory standard with no aftermarket parts and no previous damage. During the wash, the circulating brushes pushed my driver's side mirror forward, then the dryer blew the front panel off of the mirror. Before I could retrieve the panel, the vehicle behind mine ran it over. My mirror panel was brought back to me in pieces. The manager came out to me and let me know he would do an interview with me. I told him what happened as described above. He supplied an incident slip with his name and signature, which he signed "***** Valley" and denoted driver's side mirror damage. He stated he'd review the video footage and email me within 72 hours. 72 hours later I called Quick Quack Car Wash on 02/19/2024. They stated there was no way to connect me to an individual location. I returned to the East Roseville location and asked about the video review status. The attendant stated her manager was not present and he would send me an email the following day. By 02/20/2024, I did not receive an email. I returned to the location a 3rd time. ***** "Valley" was present and told me he would send me an email that evening. The email stated he was "deny[ing] this incident" due to having my mirrors folded out rather than in. He signed the email "*************************".************************* attempted to operate under an alias avoiding any accountability for his storefront. ************************* would not have responded if I did not show up in person multiple times. Quick Quack Car Wash is falsely advertising under the *** section of their website stating the wash will not damage your car if it does not meet the specific circumstances listed. None of them apply to my vehicle, and the video footage shows this. This constitutes false advertising.Business Response

Hello ******** - Were sorry to hear about your frustration and want to assure you that we take all incident reports seriously. Our team followed our standard process by documenting the situation, reviewing video footage, and following up via email with our findings.
After reviewing the footage and vehicle information, we confirmed that the side mirrors on your 2024 ****** RAV4 were not folded in prior to entering the wash. As outlined in your vehicle's owners manual, side mirrors should be folded in before using an automatic car wash. Because this step was not taken, we were unable to accept responsibility for the resulting damage.
We also want to clarify that the manager you spoke with, ***** *******, has consistently used his full name in all documentation and communication. Any discrepancy in interpretation of his signature was unintentional and certainly not an attempt to mislead. We apologize for any frustration you have experienced; however, we cannot accept responsibility for damage that occurred as a result of a failure to follow the instruction in the owner's manual of the vehicle. We wish you the best.Initial Complaint

I just bought a new 2020 ***** Traverse. ***** mile on it. I had been with quick quack for a while before the Traverse, never had an issue. So I take my Traverse to Quick Quack and I noticed a **** while I was drying on the front bumper driver side. And I was sure it was from Quick Quack but I was like well maybe not. And it wasn't that big. A couple months go by, I take it through again and the same type of scratches are now on my passenger mirror and passenger side rear door. Quick Quack claims its not from then. That it would be bigger. All I can say is that they weren't there before and now they are. I'm am sooo paranoid about getting ****s on my car. I park away from other cars in parking lots, I check my car every time I get in my car. This is the biggest purchase of a car I've done for myself. The scratches weren't there when I went through that day. And when I came out they were.Business Response

We are sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience and disagree with the outcome of your claim, but as we explained, the marks on your vehicle are not consistent with anything that could have been caused by our wraps. At Quick Quack, we use the latest technology and a brushless system utilizing a combination of soft-cloth and neoprene foam (scuba suit material) in order to be safer on your cars finish.
In the rare case that wraps in the wash were to damage a vehicle, the pattern of damage would be expected to follow very specific patterns matching the motion and action of the equipment used. In the rare case of damage, it would appear as short repeating linear marks along the full length of the vehicle along the path of the wrap.
Unfortunately, the damage on your vehicle was not consistent with how our wraps move along the vehicle. We apologize for any frustration, but we cannot accept responsibility for damage that was not caused by the wash.

On 7/9/2023 I took a brand new F150 Limited truck to Quick Quack for the first wash. I did have a ceramic paint protectant installed on the truck for general protection, but know it would get some light swirl **** with the automatic car wash. After the wash I saw it did a poor job on the back vertical surfaces, so I went immediately home to clean and dry.
