The name of the business Im having issues with is called Beyond Finance, LLC. I started working with them almost a year ago at this point. They have collected about $1,800 from me and said they are using it to settle my debt: it has not happened it has been many months and they havent settled any of my debts at all. I dont know I dont know what to do, they said it would take 4-6 months to start settling my debts but its been so much longer than that.Business Response

I decided to use a *******************, Beyond Finance. The sales *** told me that this company would make an offer to my two cards and negotiate that settlement for me. Within a month, they had come up with the settlement amount for each card. Within a couple of months one of the cards accepted the offer and payments began on that settlement. I called frequently to check on the remaining card and was give excuses for the lack of progress and assured that everything was under control and they were negotiating with this second card. That was not true and the second card was unaware that I was working on debt relief. After a year they ***orted me for non payment and wrote the debt off, resulting in a credit rating of poor (574). When I called Beyond Finance to ***ort this problem, I was told that I needed more funds to negotiate with the second card, because the funds were being used for the first card payments. Beyond Finance even offered to loan me more money to increase my funds, but their source turned me down. I am retired but have gone back to work part time to pay them and hopefully improve my credit rating. I hope to help others avoid being scammed by Beyond Finance.Business Response

At this time you are in one active arrangement on your **************** account. You approved this offer on April 25, 2024 roughly five months into your elected forty eight month program.
As covered both verbally and in writing during your enrollment interaction, Beyond Finance does not maintain monthly payments to your creditors. This program is designed to care for all included debt throughout the lifetime of the enrollment, which in this case is forty eight months. This information can be located in paragraph 13. Disclaimer of your enrollment agreement. It reads, in part, as follows:
"The use of Companys debt resolution services will likely adversely affect Clients creditworthiness and may increase the outstanding balances of Clients enrolled accounts due to the accrual of fees and interest. The decision to stop paying creditors rests solely with the Client, and the client acknowledges and fully understands that the company will not be making the Clients scheduled monthly payments to their creditors."

My complaint was not concerning the **************** settlement, which was resolved quickly and I am in the process of paying the debt. The complaint concerned the *************** account which did not make any progress for a year. I contacted Beyond Finance many times to inquire about *************** and question the lack of progress.
Meanwhile *************** did not hear from me (which I was advised to do) or Beyond Finance, so this debt was written off as unpaid which has resulted in a bad credit rating for me.
Beyond Finance has advised me a year later that I need to deposit more funds in my account in order for negotiations to begin with ****************
My issue with this company is lack of communication with me and with ***************. I am not sure if *************** will reopen my account and negotiate a settlement and again, Beyond Finance cannot answer my concerns.

We canceled the program because like others, they were taking ******************************************************************************** fees. There was no real communication with beyond finance. And when we did reach someone, she was really ugly and the conversation was very misleading. I was Told i will Get a refund of ****** , so i checked my bank daily. After about 10 or so days, we call back and was told we will not be getting a refund bc of fees owed. This was not told to us over the phone when we called in to cancel. We were told we are due a refund!! I will Be getting my lawyer involved in this because no one can be on the same page and all of the money that was given to beyond finance by me, and they want to keep my ****** thats owed to me.. i am Being threatened by the other creditors for garnishment. And All beyond was doing was focusing on ONE account. I just Want my refund and be done with this. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND BEYOND FINANCE!! Company did not explain the debt consolidation completly to me. My major account with discover has not been addressed. Now they are harassing me with court proceedings. I had approximately 16 accounts that were in good standing at the time I signed up. Is there any way that I can cancel since things were not completely explained to me? I enrolled in Beyond Finance, a debt settlement company, with four different debts I unenrolled two of those debts and they were not settled by Beyond and hence I owed no fees on those disenrolled debts. However, Beyond is claiming to have settled a debt with *********** which is a lie. I spent hours on the phone with the credit card company and resolved the debt on my own. Several agents at Beyond have told me my debt was done and I owed no more. *********** doesn't even show up on my portal as a settled debt. Nonetheless, Beyond has without permission taken $307.36 from my account to pay fees for a debt they didn't settle. They are refusing to return my money to me and continue to lie and say they settled the debt and that I owe $591 in fees. I pay *********** directly after settling the debt privately. This is extortion at best and bad faith business practice. I need my money returned ****. Attached is a chat wit a representative from Beyond assuring me I owed nothing, however, another representative has perpetuated the lie. After making good faith payments my two debts were settled and paid in full and Beyond should return the money they took on Christmas ASAP.Business Response

Signed with Beyond finance May 2024. One account that out of 8 is the only one addressed and being taken care of. I received 2 letters from a lawyer being taken to court over unpaid account, and third letters from an actual court summons. So now I have to go to court Jan 13 and will end up paying the account off. Intrest fees. Court fees and the attorney fees. Thousands more than original ***** money I do not have Does Beyond finance care. No. They just do not care. Beyond finance did not address lawyer letters until now being sued. What a humiliation to have sheriff and process server come to home for all to see and know my business I have emotional and physical distress over this. This company was supposed to help me and instead have not done anything but cause illness and worry. I signed up due to being healthcare worker and add said specifically helps nurse in ***** They told me lawyer playing hardball and waiting to last minute to settle. I am sure more lawyer letters to come since all this time accounts not being paid and intrest racking up. I know what they will say. Was in contract this could happen. This sort of thing should have been discussed openly when I signed up. Never was brought up. Just how much they would help. Never ending nightmare and dont know what to do or where to turn. I cannot get loan due to credit score 500, was 700 before I started this nightmare, unpaid accounts and now my paycheck will be garnished. I was NEVER advised verbally that I could be sued. I believe that conversation is recorded and I want a copy of that recording. Also I have asked repeatedly for all correspondence that Beyond Finance has had with Republic Finance, I have never received any documentation of what has been conducted. I have a court date Jan 13 2025 in which I need to present to judge good faith on trying to settle this account. It is apparent to me that Beyond Finance has not put forth the effort that was in good faith given to me by representative when I signed up. How many more accounts will have to go to court? Do not try to put this travesty on me as I was following plan laid out in good faith. Again I would have never ever stopped any payments if I was told would lead to this. What is the outcome in trying to resolve Republic before I miss work and pay thousands to Republic? Is there still contact with This lawyer with Republic. Do you even care the effects this is having on my life and mental well being? Does Beyond finance lend me the money to pay this court fees and account off? Lawyer fee? 1/4/24 I opened an account with ********************** to handle debt. They were able to secure/negoiate an offer which I greed to with both Best Egg and ****************. Today,12/20/24, I contact Beyond Finance to payoff these 2 debts and to end my contract with them on the remaining 3. Money was deposited into my account ( BRP-****** ) in the amount of $6230 Best Egg, and $1598.93 for ****************. I asked for these to be paid off and my account closed. I was told that they would be unable to do so without me paying an additional 25% fee to beyond finance. They have the amount for the remaining debt in full. There is no reason whatsoever to charge an additional 25% to close my accounts. As well trying to close these accounts, I asked that they discontinue any effort negotiating my other 3 debts. ***********, ****************************, and Apple *************************. Reason being, I have been a customer for close to a year now and no negotiations have taken place between these 3. Beyond Finance only began negotiating with *********************** (firm handling ****************************) once I received a summons to sue, yesterday 12/19. I asked Beyond Finance to discontinue their efforts as I would handle this myself being they had done nothing in almost a year. I also asked for Beyond Finance to correspond with the legal firm of *********************** to let them know Beyond Finance would no longer be handing this debt for me. I was told it takes 7-14 days to communicate such issues with a legal firm. I am unable to conclude my business with this firm until Beyond Finance releases said statement. I was told the department handling these matters did not have a way to communicate, no line or email. Being Ive been served a summons, I need to get this taken care of asap. The program is structured to care for your enrolled debt throughout the lifetime of the enrollment. In order to move forward with negotiation efforts accounts must meet the period of inactivity and there must be enough accumulated funds in your dedicated account.
At the time of your enrollment you were advised both verbally and in writing about the program fee related to your approved resolutions. This can be located in your enrollment agreement in paragraph 11. (a) Program Fee. It reads, in part, as follows:
"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of *****% percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program and where Company resolves the debt, whether directly or indirectly through Companys agents, with the creditor."

I was struggling with debt, due to a past relationship, where my fianc had borrowed a large sum of money from me and never paid it back. Beyond Finance spoke with me and assured me that they could help resolve my debt, stating that this would be much better for my future than continuing to pay my creditors as much as I could (the minimum payments or slightly more) while staying heavily in debt. I signed with them on a multi-year plan (4 years), agreeing to pay them every month to provide funds they could use to negotiate with my creditors. Beyond Finance emphasized that if I made my payments to them on time for 9 months, it was VERY likely that I would be offered a large loan (by one of their "partners") to pay off all my debts earlier. Needless to say, this never happened. I contacted them several times (after having faithfully made my payments to them for a full year) to ask about the possibility of getting this larger loan. They had warned me that my credit rating would take a hit due to working with them, and they were correct. Working with them completely DESTROYED my credit rating. So I was very anxious to get a reasonable rate on a loan that could help me fully repay my creditors and get on with my life. Instead, they failed to even contact some of my creditors, with the result that I am now getting SUED by a creditor. Every time they negotiate a "deal" for me with this creditor, they ask me to pay extra money, in addition to the funds already in my account with **********************. My initial debt with the creditor who is suing me was just over $4,000. Now, that debt has grown to over $5,000 (because I paid Beyond Finance rather than paying my creditor directly). So far, Beyond Finance has negotiated a "deal" for me to pay this creditor $3,500 (a pretty small savings from my initial debt), explaining that to take this "deal," I would need to add another $1,500 to my Beyond Finance account. I enrolled in Beyond Finances debt relief program seeking help to negotiate and settle my debts. Over the past year (a few months shy of two years) I have paid over $15,000 into the program for seven accounts. Despite this, several accounts remain unresolved, and some have escalated to legal action (over 40%), forcing me to hire an outside attorney to negotiate on my behalf.Beyond Finance failed to deliver on their promises. They prioritize collecting their fees over paying creditors, provide vague and scripted responses when asked about progress, and lack transparency in their negotiating processes. I have raised concerns numerous times through calls and emails, asking to speak with supervisors, managers, etc., but no actionable solutions have been provided.Their mishandling of my accounts has caused significant harm, including a substantial drop in my credit score, financial instability, and emotional distress. One of my creditors, unresolved by Beyond Finance after nearly two years, was successfully negotiated and placed into payment status within days by my attorneya result Beyond Finance failed to achieve.I am requesting a full refund of all fees collected by Beyond Finance for services they failed to provide. I am fully aware of the terms of my agreement; my issue lies with your inability to resolve my debts effectively and the internal errors that have caused further financial harm.
Key Issues:
1.Failure to Resolve Debts in a Timely Manner: After nearly two years in your program, only two accounts have been settled. Many accounts remain unresolved, with no clear progress or timeline.
2.Elan Financial Lawsuit: I was served legal papers by ************** and had to settle the debt independently. I achieved better terms on my own than what Beyond Finance proposed, demonstrating your failure to negotiate effectively.
3.Internal Error Impacting Agreements: Due to an internal error on your part, previously negotiated agreements were canceled, resulting in higher terms being offered by creditors. This is unacceptable, and you have not taken responsibility for these errors.
4.Refund of Fees: I am requesting a refund of fees you collected on accounts impacted by your internal error, as these errors directly caused the agreements to revert and led to unfavorable terms.
5.Poor Communication: I have repeatedly asked to speak with a manager. Instead, I am constantly shuffled between agents, requiring me to re-explain my situation with no resolution.
What I Require:
Immediate resolution of accounts affected by your internal error, restoring previously agreed-upon terms.
A refund of fees collected for accounts where your errors caused financial harm.
Direct contact from a manager with the authority to resolve these issues.
A clear plan to resolve all remaining debts promptly.
