Beyond Finance is a debt resolution company and I entered into their program on 11/1/2023. I had 5 accounts added into the program for a bi-weekly fee of ****** that was applied to a dedicated account. ********************** negotiated with the creditors on 3 of the 5 accounts which I was happy with. However, on two of the accounts, ********************** did not make any attempt to negotiate anything. The last contact with Beyond Finance and the creditor on both accounts was 5/7/2024, which resulted in my being served a Summons to court for both accounts. My complaint is that Beyond Finance did not make any attempt at negotiation or communication with the creditor which is not in keeping with the agreement made for the program. I forwarded the direct contact information for the creditor to Beyond Finance on 11/27/2024 and called them on 11/29/2024. During that phone call I was told that I was basically out of luck and that I would likely have to pay more money to get any kind of negotiation. I will have to go to trial for both accounts (****** **************** Summons 2) and negotiate a resolution with the court on my own, which negates the whole point of working with a company like Beyond Finance in the first place. I have uploaded screenshots showing what I sent to Beyond Finance (****** ******************* Screenshot 2) as well as a screenshot showing that they received the screenshots on 11/27/2024 (****** Screenshot 3). Beyond Finance advertised their services as a way to work my way out of crippling debt. While that was true for several of the accounts, they absolutely failed to uphold their side of the bargain for the last two accounts. For a company like this to fail to contact a creditor for 6 full months is not reasonable or ethical. Even worse, they did so with the only fallout being for me as their client. They don't have to worry about anything in this case, but I certainly do. I may lose my house due to their lack of communication with the creditor.Business Response

As you mentioned, Beyond Finance has been able to successfully present offers on three of your five enrolled accounts. Of which, two are completed and one is in progress. These offers have utilized the majority of the funds available in your dedicated account. In order for Beyond Finance to be able to move forward with negotiations on your remaining enrolled account there need to be funds available in your dedicated account.
This program is designed to care for all enrolled debt, and related fees, throughout the lifetime of the program. Upon enrollment you elected a 48 month program. As the agent shared with you in order to expedite the process it would require you to either increase your program deposit or add a lump sum.

The business response is the same thing that was relayed to me by phone and it does not make sense. The other accounts were negotiated without sufficient funds in the dedicated account without issue. This feels like a cut and paste response to avoid acknowledging that the business made no contact whatsoever with the creditor for six months which has now resulted in me going to trial. The accounts do not need to be resolved, but there could have been negotiations with the creditor well before legal action was taken. If it is not possible to negotiate with a creditor without a certain amount of money in the dedicated account, why would a business like Beyond Financial exist in the first place? If this is the approach that the business is taking with negotiations, I should have done it myself.
To be clear, if the results of the trial involve garnishment of wages or high fees, I could potentially lose my house. If I wasn't in dire financial straits, I would have paid the accounts myself rather than work with a debt resolution company. That is why this whole situation is so unacceptable. The consequences of the business failing to contact the creditor does not have any negative consequences for Beyond Financial. All of the consequences fall on me which is an unacceptable way to conduct business. I have already accepted the negative credit consequences, but going to court and potentially losing my home due to a company not even being bothered to reach out to a creditor is more than I am willing to accept.

This response supports every complaint that I have made regarding the quality of service offered by this business. The response notes how hard they are working on resolving my **************** account. I don't have an **************** account and never had. They don't even care enough to determine which accounts are applicable. I still am scheduled to go to small claims court next week to resolve the accounts that ********************** failed to negotiate. As far as I know, Beyond Finance still has not contacted the creditor as agreed upon. They have failed on every aspect of what we agreed to do and I am the one who will pay the price in court, not Beyond Finance.Initial Complaint

Hello, I was trying to get a loan and was not approved for the amount I requested. I was then submitted to Beyond Finance from the supposed loan company. Anyways when I first enrolled with Beyond Finance, I had 8 accounts under this program. This was July 2024. Within 2 months of me not paying my creditors per Beyond Finance my credit went from a 680 to 500. I immediately dis enrolled 6 accounts and made arrangements with them creditors. I never enrolled my Commenity ************* Secret card as I had a zero balance. I had a dental card from commenity bank enrolled and its now current. ************** is about to close my ******** Secret card due to inactivity. My card is blocked as Beyond Finance sent a letter to ************** stating they were representing me in debt consolidation. I dont have any ************** associated with Beyond Finance. Ive called for the last 3 months and keep getting the run around about this revocation letter to **************. I asked for a Supervisor every time Ive called or chatted through the website and still to this day no one can assist me with anything nor can I speak with a supervisor. This company has damaged my credit and was not up front with a lot of things Im finding out now. My credit is severely damaged and now my current accounts are starting to get closed due to Beyond Finance not issuing a revocation or a letter on letterhead stating I dont have any Commenity accounts with them. Just as they sent a letter stating my account was enrolled. It should be just as easy to send a letter stating they are not representing my ************** account. Please help! I spoke with a Supervisor from Beyond Finance on December 3, 2024 at 4:15 pm. I was told by the Supervisor if they can send such a letter they will. I just got off the phone with ************* right before typing this reply and no such letter was received from Beyond Finance. All the Representatives and Supervisor state the same. If a letter exists they will send. No letter exists because nothing is being sent to ************* and also my Account that was enrolled is blocked as well. I joined the program in June 2024 with **************************************** June 2024 of $1118.64. They paid 1 creditor $390 and took almost all of the rest of the money for fees. Leaving $45. Each month was the same thing except the balance left got smaller. The remaining 14 creditors weren't getting paid. Weren't getting contacted. They don't spread the 25% settlement out over the course of the program. They top load it. If you have high debt, most of your first payments will be fees! And very little will be left for creditors. In doing so, it would have taken me a few years just to pay the fees before all of the creditors could be addressed. They don't explain that in their sales pitch AT ALL. They only tell you that the fee is 25% of the original debt. They don't tell you how they get that 25%. And that is problem. I am back to square one and in an even worse situation because I spent money on FEES instead of my actual debt thinking they could help me. I enrolled in a debt resolution agreement with Beyond Finance in January of 2022. The debt I enrolled was with *********** for $10,949. Beyond Finance successfully made an agreement with ***********. Payments of $250 were made monthly to *********** starting on 05/08/23. I received an email from *********** on 10/25/24 requesting a payment on the remaining balance of $7,601.78 on my account and had offered me several payment plans I could chose from. I contacted *********** to discuss my concerns and the representative had informed me that the last payment they received was on 07/08/24 and that Beyond Finance had told them to put a hold on payments for one year.I contacted Beyond Finance at ************** on 10/28/24 and discussed the situation with a representative. She told me that Beyond Finance did not put a hold on payments for a year but, they did stop making payments to make a new agreement with ***********. I was not notified by Beyond Finance in regards to any account changes nor did I agree to end the agreement with *********** through Beyond Finances program.While speaking to the Beyond Finance representative, I requested to close my account. I was told that the remaining balance of $885.89 in my *** account (account they are partnered with in which my monthly payments get deposited to) would be refunded to me and deposited into my personal bank account within seven business days. The remaining balance was withdrawn from the *** account by ********************** and listed as settlement fee. During the period of time I was enrolled in the program, a total of $1,236.83 was withdrawn by Beyond Finance for settlement fees.I contacted Beyond Finance and explained to the representative that they breached the contract by terminating the agreement with *********** without my consent. Therefore, the contract is terminated and I did not give them permission to withdraw from my *** account for their discontinued services.Business Response

We canceled our program with Beyond Finance and have a pending balance of over $700.00 that is due back to us. My wife and I were told we would not get our balance of over $700.00 back that we have pending due to their fees. They were very cold and unsympathetic. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. As part of this process information about all related program fees was provided both verbally and in writing. This information can be located in paragraph 11. (a) Program Fees. It reads, in part, as follows:
"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution offer on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."
At the time of your requested termination you had authorized resolutions on one of your enrolled accounts and the first payment was made. All established expectations to earn the fee related were met.
Additionally, information regarding the estimated credit impact was also provided to you during your enrollment call on February 29, 2024.
As it related to your program, these expectations were exceeded.

I started an account in March of 2022 with my term of 48 months. I spoke with a re online a few days ago that stated I have 16 months remaining. I got approved for a loan to pay off the remaining 16 months and I am waiting for it to be put into the settlement account. I reach out to find out what will happen to the difference of the loan payment because its almost double of what I owe. The person today told me the term doesnt end until March of 2027, and also told me it was a term of 50 payments. I can understand the 2 extra because a 100$ was recently added but, that does not add an entire year of payments. I asked how many payments again today because I needed to confirm the difference of the loan. I have a copy of the contract with my term and also a screen shot of todays conversation. I enrolled ~****** of debt into the program. I read the fine print and was advised Beyond would take a 25% of the savings as a fee which is included in the monthly payments. My monthly payments have a remaining balance of $4600 however when I inquired I was told their fees included I owe over $7500, that no one can give a straight answer on. I mistakenly went with Beyond. They settled one card. After fees it saved me less than ******* and ruined my credit. I enrolled two cards and recently I was served with a law suit. I had no communication as I followed the directions to change my address and phone number to Beyond Finance. I called while the Sheriff was still at my door. And forwarded suit. A law firm provided an answer to the suit. I called Beyond and asked why because that was just a delay tactic that would cause a $370.00 filing fee. Was told it would give them more time to negotiate. Received a call offering $******* per month for 12 months. I told them I couldnt do that. They said its the only offer they are willing to take. They said okay, we are withdrawal this account from the program and will refund any fees. I received an email advising that I will owe additional fees. I called and was told but we settled this one and you withdrew the other. I said you dropped the other. I complained about the fees, the fact that I have been sued and Ive had no communication from them and that it looks to me like they did not negotiate until I was sued. I was advised that they did, in March an offer was received for 50%. But you didnt have it accumulated in the acct with your monthly payments. I asked why was that not relayed to me and was advised we are not going to make an offer when you dont have the money in the account. I told her you chose the amount I would pay monthly. She handed me off to a supervisor who advised I missed a payment in March that has made my numbers off. I raised my voice saying this is the 4th call this month and now you tell me that. I searched the records, I missed no payments. Ive taken screen shots. Different story every phone call. Awaiting another supervisor contact. We confirmed your enrollment into the program on May 20, 2023. At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing. Information about the possibility of litigation can be located in the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 13. Disclaimer. It reads, in part, as follows:
"Clients enrolling in the Program may be subject to collections or sued by their creditors or debt collectors for nonpayment and Client must take this into consideration when determining whether or not to enroll in the Program. Although, services provided by the Company aim to reduce the Clients outstanding debts with creditors, the Company cannot prevent a creditor from taking legal action against them, and the Company cannot offer any guarantee whatsoever that legal actions will not be commenced by the Clients creditors."
Beyond Finance made every effort to secure an arrangement on this account, however there must be enough available funds in order to move forward with the payments on the arrangement.
Our records indicate that you had the opportunity to speak with an Account Manager about this circumstance and they escalated your concerns at the time. A supervisor did make the effort to reach out and advise that the upcoming fee of $120.28 would be waived and address your additional concerns, however they were unsuccessful in connecting with you.
We have attempted to connect with you both via phone and email and have been unsuccessful. Should you still have outstanding concerns you wish to review, please let us know and we will be happy to assist.

I have called and sent chats and I cannot get a single explanation why Im paying $500 a month, why my debts still arent paid off. And why not a single person will explain why one of my accounts is in collections, yet its paid off. Representatives are not helpful and just want to end the call or pass it along to someone else. Review of your program has confirmed that out of your four enrolled accounts, offers have been extended and approved on all of them. Of those, one resolution has been completed and three are in active repayment. Your program is designed to care for all enrolled debt, and any related fees, throughout the lifetime of your program. Our records confirm that you elected to move forward with a 48 month program term at the time of your enrollment, with an estimated completion date of September 24, 2026.
There have been several attempts to connect with you to address your concerns. Most recently, an account manager spoke with you on November 21, 2024 and advised that additional information about the account reflecting in collections was needed in order for us to assist. To date, we have not received that additional information. We would be happy to assist and look forward to being able to partner with you on coming to a satisfactory resolution.

Our records reflect that we are still awaiting the additional information requested, the original creditor reflecting in collections, in order to research this matter and determine the root cause. Additionally, please keep in mind that Beyond Finance does not have control over how a creditor reports and issues with inaccurate reporting need to be addressed directly with the creditor.

All of your enrolled *******s have received resolutions. Of the four, one is completed and three are in progress.
Per record with Beyond Fiance the resolution on your Chase ******* has been completed. All payments were issued as agreed upon with your creditor. If your creditor continues to report inaccurate information, you will need to raise your concern directly with them as Beyond Fiance does not report to any of the credit reporting agencies. Should they request any documentation to support the payments we will be happy to assist you in providing that information.
